ULTRASOUND GENERATION DEVICE CAPABLE OF ADJUSTING ULTRASOUND FOCUS DEPTH
The present invention relates to an ultrasound generation device capable of adjusting an ultrasound focus depth, comprising: a handpiece; a cartridge housing detachably coupled to the handpiece; an ultrasonic wave-generating unit provided in the handpiece or the cartridge housing; a rotating unit of which the outer circumferential surface makes contact with a support unit of the ultrasonic wave-generating unit, and which has a shape of a section with a rotation radius gradually increased from the center of the rotating unit; and a rotation adjusting unit coupled to the rotating unit to apply force for driving the rotating unit, wherein the rotating unit adjusts the focal depth of the ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic wave-generating unit, as the rotation adjusting unit rotates the rotating unit to change a rotation radius of the rotating unit, such that the ultrasonic wave-generating unit is moved.
Apparatus and method for directing energy from a multi-element source
An apparatus for controlling the angular direction of energy emitted from a plurality of energy delivery devices. The apparatus includes a plurality of rods, each rod mechanically coupled to one of the energy delivery devices, to a stationary plate, and to a moveable plate. The stationary plate includes holes that are configured to receive a portion of a first rotatable joint that is mechanically coupled to each rod. The moveable plate includes holes that are configured to receive a portion of a second rotatable joint, the second rotatable joint slidingly engaging a portion of the respective rod. The angle of each rod changes when the moveable plate is moved in any direction with respect to the stationary plate. Changing the rod angle changes the angular direction of the energy emitted from the energy delivery devices such that the energy passes through an intended focal position.
HISTOTRIPSY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A histotripsy therapy system configured for the treatment of tissue is provided, which may include any number of features. Provided herein are systems and methods that provide efficacious non-invasive and minimally invasive therapeutic, diagnostic and research procedures. In particular, provided herein are optimized systems and methods that provide targeted, efficacious histotripsy in a variety of different regions and under a variety of different conditions without causing undesired tissue damage to intervening/non-target tissues or structures.
ULTRASONIC WAVE GENERATING CARTRIDGE, ULTRASONIC WAVE GENERATING DEVICE, ULTRASONIC WAVE GENERATING HANDPIECE, AND METHOD FOR SENSING POSITION OF ULTRASONIC WAVE GENERATING UNIT USING SAME
The present invention relates to an ultrasonic wave generating cartridge which comprises: a cartridge housing; an ultrasonic wave generating unit which is disposed so as to be able to move in a reciprocating manner in the cartridge housing; and a position detection unit which can detect the real-time position of the ultrasonic wave generating unit by sending a transmission signal to the movement path of the ultrasonic wave generating unit.
Systems and methods for applying energy to denervate a pulmonary artery
A catheter system for ablation of tissue around a blood vessel, e.g., the pulmonary artery, to reduce neural activity of nerves surrounding the blood vessel. The catheter system includes an elongate shaft having a proximal portion coupled to a handle, and a distal portion. The distal portion includes a transducer and an expandable anchor, which may be actuated to transition between a collapsed delivery state and an expanded deployed state where the anchor centralizes the transducer within the blood vessel. The transducer may be actuated to emit energy to reduce neural activity of the nerves surrounding the blood vessel. Systems and method are further provided for confirming that neural activity of the nerves surround the blood vessel has been sufficiently reduced.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR TREATING A PULMONARY DISEASE WITH ULTRASOUND ENERGY
A pulmonary treatment system includes a compact configuration for delivery to an airway of a patient. An energy delivery system of the pulmonary treatment system delivers ultrasound energy to target nerve tissue in or along an airway wall of the airway radially outward from surface tissue to reduce airway resistance in a downstream airway. The pulmonary treatment system may protect tissue in the airway wall of the airway located between the target nerve tissue and the ultrasound energy delivery system by a coolant system that may also act as a coupling fluid for the emitted ultrasound energy.
Catheter ultrasound transducer container
A catheter US transducer container and method of manufacture thereof including a housing, one or more cooling channels oriented longitudinally along a longitudinal axis of the container, a sealing cooling channel cover, one or more PE elements positioned on a floor of the cooling channel, the cooling channel having a trapezoid cross section at any point along the PE element.
SYSTEMS FOR ULTRASOUND TREATMENT
Embodiments provide an ultrasound treatment system. In some embodiments, the system includes a removable transducer module having an ultrasound transducer. In some embodiments, the system can include a hand wand and a control module that is coupled to the hand wand and has a graphical user interface for controlling the removable transducer module, and an interface coupling the hand wand to the control module. The interface may provide power to the hand wand or may transfer a signal from the hand wand to the control module. In some embodiments, the treatment system may be used in cosmetic procedures on at least a portion of a face, head, neck, and/or other part of a patient.
