Sealing plug for closing an anchor hole in a concrete wall
A sealing plug has an elastic sleeve of thimble-like basic shape. A wound-up band of the sealing plug is inserted in the sleeve. The number of windings or turns of the band can be reduced by rotating the inner end of the band, wherein the outside diameter of the band, and hence the outside diameter of the elastic sleeve, widens. The band can be inserted in pretensioned state into the sleeve and can slacken after insertion into an anchor hole. The band can be expanded in the anchor hole beyond the slackened state of the band. The sealing plug further has a latching mechanism, which prevents back-rotation of the expanded sleeve. The sealing plug enables a radial expansion, and hence a sealing of anchor holes of different diameter, without shortening of the axial sealing surface of the sleeve.
Panel fastener
A panel fastener and panel fastening system are provided. The panel fastener includes a body having a collar and an elongated shank extending from the collar. The elongated shank defines an interior space and having a penetrating tip disposed at an end opposite of the collar. The panel fastener also includes a substrate fastening portion configured to be driven into a substrate and a holding mechanism connected to the substrate fastening portion and configured to engage the substrate.
Sealing plug for closing holes in walls and the like
According to one embodiment a sealing plug is provided that includes an elastic body and a stem assembled coaxially with respect to one another. The elastic body is suitable for being expanded radially by pulling on the free end of the stem, which projects out of the elastic body, once it is inserted into the hole to be plugged, the elastic body applying a closing pressure against the hole. The sealing plug also comprises an empty space, arranged between the elastic body and the stem, which is communicated with the outside, such that the entrance of fluid into the elastic body is allowed so that the fluid applies pressure against the elastic body, thereby increasing the closing pressure applied by the elastic body against the hole.
Plastic caps filled with sealing compound as combined protection against fuel and hydraulic fluid and against lightning strikes
Provided herein are sealing compound-filled plastic caps for sealing of connecting elements in aircraft construction against liquids, wherein these plastic caps function as combined protection against fuel and hydraulic oil, especially that based on tributyl phosphate, and against lightning strikes, and can be produced and applied in an economically viable manner. The plastic cap for sealing of connecting elements in aircraft construction consists predominantly of at least one high-performance polymer having a breakdown resistance of at least 10 kV/mm to DIN IEC 60243, and has been filled with a sealing compound having a high energy absorption capacity and including at least one filler selected from the group consisting of gas- and/or air-filled hollow packings, where the plastic cap and the sealing compound are cohesively bonded to one another. Additionally provided is a method of filling and application of such plastic caps, and a corresponding aircraft.
Fastener for corrugated sheet
A fastener for a corrugated sheet includes a cylindrical assembly including elongated, plate shaped fastening members assembled as a hollow cylinder. Each fastening member is tapered to one end to form a hook at one end and having a curved groove on an outer surface, and a curved trough on the outer surface at the other end of the fastening member. The curved troughs are assembled to form an annular recess. A retainer ring is secured to the annular recess. A ring-shaped elastic member is secured to the curved groove. A first sealing member is put on the retainer ring. A threaded bolt driven through a washer, the retainer ring, and the fastening member. An expansion nut has a multi-sided outer surface and is moveably secured to the threaded bolt.
Sealing plug for closing holes in walls and the like
A sealing plug including an elastic body and a stem coaxially assembled to one another. The elastic body has a main body which is suitable for being expanded radially when pulling on the free end of the stem which emerges out of said elastic body. The elastic body also has a head attached to the main body, the head having a compressive strength less than that in the main body.
TWO-PIECE SEALING PLUGS FOR BLIND HOLE, ONE-SIDED INSTALLATION
A sealing plug for blind hole, one-sided installation includes a stem head having a first end and an opposing second end, where the stem head includes a lip member disposed at the first end and having a first diameter, a skirt member disposed at the second end and have a second diameter that is less than the first diameter, and a first tapered portion disposed between the lip member and the skirt member and having a third diameter, a fourth diameter, and a first sloped portion therebetween. The stem head may also include a second tapered portion between the first tapered portion and the skirt member. The second tapered portion may have a fifth diameter, a sixth diameter, and a second sloped portion therebetween. The stem head may also include a waist member between the second tapered portion and the skirt member, the waist member having a seventh diameter.
