BOLT FOR DOVETAIL GROOVES
20240035507 · 2024-02-01 ·

A dovetail track groove bolt includes a T-shaped body having a bolt head and bolt shaft. The bolt head has inclined limiting surfaces on both sides, and its longitudinal cross-section forms a dovetail shape. The width of the bolt head is equipped with installation surfaces on both sides, and at the diagonal junction of the limiting surfaces and installation surfaces, avoidance surfaces are placed. This irregular bolt, through the implementation of a dovetail-shaped bolt head matching the dovetail track groove, redistributes the vertical gravitational force into horizontal and longitudinal forces, effectively dispersing the track groove's bearing load and enhancing the overall bearing capacity. Simultaneously, by introducing installation surfaces and avoidance surfaces, the bolt head can be inserted directly into the dovetail track groove's slot and aligned through rotation, thereby expediting the installation process.

Security mounting bracket device for a crossbar
11938905 · 2024-03-26 ·

Provided herein is a security mounting bracket device that can be used to securely connect a crossbar to a mounted object. The device is shaped to form a contoured fit with the crossbar and adapted for use with a security nut and bolt rendering both nut and bolt unexposed outside of the device and inaccessible to tools that may be used to forcibly remove the mounted object. The security mounting bracket device can be used as an antitheft device as a security socket is required to remove the nut from the security mounting bracket. The contoured fit reduces the movement of the crossbar within the security mounting bracket device therefore reducing vibrationally induced failure of the mount and loss of mounted object. The security mounting bracket device smooth edges and unexposed nut and bolt also make it a safer bracket for the user in assembly. The size and contour of the security mounting bracket device can be customized to connect any shape of a crossbar to a mounted object such as a guide rail attached to a platform or to a platform directly. The crossbar can be mounted perpendicularly or at other angles, to the security mounting bracket device or and can be used to connect a plurality of mounted objects for example platforms for tents or cargo containers.

Locking element for a polyaxial bone anchor, bone plate assembly and tool

A tool adapted for use with a bone plate assembly includes a driver with an engagement portion configured to engage a locking element, and a tubular holder. The driver may be configured to extend with the engagement portion through the tubular holder, and may be axially movable and rotatable within the holder. The holder may have a radial slot adapted for insertion of the locking element. The holder may include a portion with an internal thread for cooperation with an external thread of the locking element. The locking element may be used with a polyaxial bone anchor.

A socket includes a housing having a first end dimensioned and configured for cooperation with an associated wrench and a second end dimensioned and configured for engagement with a locknut. The second end includes a first plurality of magnets disposed to maintain a single locknut against the second end, the second end and a second plurality of magnets disposed to maintain the second end against an associated housing with the associated locknut disposed intermediate the second end of the socket and the associated housing. The second end of the socket including a plurality of depending feet dimensioned and configured for meshing engagement with the locknut whereby rotation of the socket causes rotation of the locknut when the locknut is engaged with an associated externally threaded connector to move the locknut axially along the external threads of the externally threaded connector.

Locking element for a polyaxial bone anchor, bone plate assembly and tool

A locking element is configured to be used with a polyaxial bone anchor, and is substantially cylindrical with a bottom side facing a head of the bone anchor, a top side opposite to the bottom side, and a surface portion with an external thread. The locking element has a first recess at the bottom side for accommodating at least a portion of the head, and a second recess at the top side for engagement with a driver. The second recess is located outside the center of the top side. The head has a portion with a largest diameter, and a first level L1 is defined by the highest point of a circle with the largest diameter drawn around the head, and a second level L2 is defined by the bottom of the second recess, L2 being at a level not higher than L1.
