APPARATUS FOR A BURST-THROUGH TORQUE INDICATOR
A nut is configured to be secured to a bolt. The nut includes a main body that defines an axially aligned bore with threads disposed on an inner wall thereof. Further, the nut includes a dome-shaped head that has an axially aligned aperture and that is provided to be deformed by threads on the bolt when a predetermined burst-through torque is applied thereto.

Shear coupling and method of assembling same
A shear coupling can be used with reciprocating and rotary pumps. The shear coupling uses a shear nut and connecting member as the shear element. The connecting member and shear nut are located inside the axial bore of the shear coupling to protect from corrosive wellbore elements. The coupling members may be connected by matching polygonal shaft and hub profiles on the coupling members to transmit torque. The shaft and hub may have octagonal profiles for better torque transmission capacity. The shear nut may be isolated from large alternating stresses due to pretensioning of the connecting member. The length of the connecting member, especially when pretensioned, and a reduced cross-section that may be formed on the outer surface of the shear coupling increase the overall flexibility of the shear coupling, thereby increasing the resistance to bending stress.
RESILIENT FASTENER WASHER
A resilient washer has a one-piece washer body. The washer body has a central opening, an upper fastener interfacing section or bowl, a lower structure interfacing section or bowl and a resilient middle portion. The resilient middle portion connects the upper fastener interfacing section or bowl and the lower structure interfacing section or bowl. The resilient middle portion is configured to be locally collapsed when a fastener in the central opening is tightened into a structure. In one embodiment, the upper fastener interfacing section or bowl is annular, wherein the upper fastener interfacing section or bowl has a concavity for holding a head of the fastener. The concavity can be of a hemispherical shape. Preferably, the concavity has a smooth surface to allow polyaxial movement of a fastener.
Torque limiting device and a load carrier foot comprising a torque limiting device
A torque limiting device (30) connectable to a load carrier, such as a load carrier foot (10), and adapted for indicating a torque imparted by a user, the torque limiting device (30) comprising a torque limiter (50), a connection member (31) adapted to be connected to the load carrier foot (10) and a head portion (40) arranged on the connection member (31), the head portion (40) comprising a first and a second member (41, 42). The disclosure also relates to a load carrier foot (10) comprising the torque limiting device (30). The torque limiting device (30) is specifically adapted to be user friendly and has a space saving configuration.
SYSTEM INCLUDING BREAKAWAY FASTENERS FOR FABRICATION OF COMPOSITE PARTS
A system including mold pieces coupled together with breakaway bolts or other fasteners for facilitating the fabrication of composite parts for, e.g., aerospace vehicles. First and second mold pieces are coupled together to form a mold within which the composite part is fabricated from a composite material. A coefficient of thermal expansion of the mold pieces is higher than a coefficient of thermal expansion of the composite part. One or more breakaway fasteners couple together the mold pieces while the mold pieces and the composite material are heated, and then purposefully break and thereby decouple the mold pieces and release the composite part when the mold pieces are cooled. The fasteners may be constructed from polytetrafluoroethylene, may include a structural weakness to ensure breakage, may break into two or more pieces when under a tension or a sheering force, or may include threads that sheer when under a tension force.
FASTENERS
A member (10), for bearing a load, including a load receiving portion (12) at which the load is applicable to the member. A strainable portion (14) is connected to the load receiving portion to be strained by the load. A datum (16a) is defined and an elongate portion (18) defines another datum (18a). The datums are arranged such that relative displacement therebetween indicates an amount by which the strainable portion is strained. The strainable portion defines the datum.

Transducer, Loosening Detection System and Loosening Detection Method
A transducer includes a conductive sheet installed on a sheath of a cable, an insulative sheet installed on the conductive sheet, holes being formed in predetermined positions of the insulative sheet, and a conductive sheet installed on the insulative sheet, holes being formed in predetermined positions of the conductive sheet. The transducer has structure in which, when the cable is tightened by the screw from the top of the conductive sheet and fixed, the distal end of the screw comes into contact with the conductive sheet passing through the holes formed in the insulative sheet and the conductive sheet, and the conductive sheet and the conductive sheet are electrically connected.
REVERSIBLE FORCE MEASURING DEVICE
A reversible force measuring device for ascertaining the magnitude and/or direction of an applied load and having a cavity containing an indicating material such as a fluid, with the cavity configured such that when a load is applied to the device, it causes a reversible volumetric change to the cavity. This change causes the indicating material to move in or out of the cavity in a quantity which corresponds to the magnitude and/or direction of the applied load. By measuring the movement of the indicating material, a user can determine the magnitude and/or direction of the applied load. The device may include a component which generates an electrical signal from the measured movement and transmits this signal to another device to control the tensioning of one or more fastener components and or make other analytical measurements by combining this measurement with other measurements like torque and or angle.
