Truck Bed Spacer

A crush-tube assembly for securing a truck bed to a frame of a vehicle. The crush-tube assembly includes a first hole defined by the truck bed, a crush-tube defining an inner diameter, a cross-member defining a second hole, and a frame defining a third hole. A bolt extends through the first hole, the crush-tube, the second hole, and third hole. The inner diameter is smaller than the second hole and maintains pressure around a periphery of the second hole. The pressure applied by the bolt around the hole in the cross-member prevents abrasion of the e-coat previously applied to the cross-member and thereby reduces the potential for corrosion of the cross-member.

SEALANT ARTICLES AND METHOD OF APPLYING SEALANT

A method of making an assembly is disclosed. According to the method, a curable sealant is applied to a metal surface of a first article, and the curable sealant and first article are stored under conditions to maintain the curable sealant in an at least partially uncured state. The method further includes contacting the curable sealant on the first article metal surface with an electrically conductive surface of a second article, and curing the curable sealant.

METHOD FOR JOINING AT LEAST TWO STRUCTURAL PARTS

A method for joining at least two structural parts includes a fitting step in which a joining element is driven into the first structural part while a residual material thickness is maintained, and a joining step in which the joining element driven into the first structural part is connected to the second structural part. The joining element has a hollow element shaft, which is driven into the first structural part, and an element head, which is welded or adhesively bonded to the second structural part.

STEEL FOR BOLTS, AND BOLT

To provide a steel for bolts with excellent delayed fracture resistance and cold forgeability while maintaining the strength as a steel material, and also to provide a bolt producing from such a steel for bolts.

The steel for bolts according to the present invention includes, in percent by mass: 0.20 to 0.40% of C; 1.5 to 2.5% of Si; 0.20 to 1.5% of Mn; more than 0% and 0.03% or less of P; more than 0% and 0.03% or less of S; 0.05 to 1.5% of Cr; 0.01 to 0.10% of Al; 0.0003 to 0.01% of B; 0.002 to 0.020% of N; and one or two elements selected from the group consisting of 0.02 to 0.10% of Ti and 0.02 to 0.10% of Nb, with the balance being iron and inevitable impurities.

Multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials
11248289 · 2022-02-15 · ·

A multilayered corrosion and anti-galling coating for threads and wearable materials is a liner that can be superimposed onto the surface of a device in order to protect the surface from environmental hazards. To accomplish this, the coating has a base adhesive layer, an intermediary insulation layer, an interstitial adhesive layer, and a lubricating material layer. The base adhesive layer adheres to the device's surface thus enabling the coating to form a sealing liner. The intermediary insulation layer is positioned in between the base adhesive layer and the interstitial adhesive layer. As a result, the intermediary insulation layer prevents negative chemical interactions between the base adhesive layer and the interstitial adhesive layer. The lubricating material layer is super imposed onto the interstitial adhesive layer to provide a friction-reducing coating for the device's surface.

ARTICLES HAVING THERMOSET COATINGS AND COATING METHODS

A method to prevent corrosion of a susceptible article of a two-article system, in which first and second articles of the two-article system have surfaces facing one another and in which the two articles have different anodic indices includes applying a coating material to the surface of the first article and curing the coating material on the surface of the first article. The method further includes contacting and securing the surface of the first article with the surface of the second article. The two articles exhibit substantially no corrosion following exposure to a corrosive environment under standard GMW17026 for a 15 year simulated test.

Fire rated isolation washer
11365760 · 2022-06-21 ·

A washer for protecting a flange. The washer is capable of withstanding high compression loads, protecting a flange plate from galvanic corrosion, and maintaining torque load when a flange joint is exposed to extreme heat. The washer has two primary components—an inner ring and an outer ring—that are preferably made of materials having dielectric properties, particularly with respect to electrical insulation. The inner ring and outer ring are preferably fit together using an interference fit.

System and method for sealing a metal fastener from electrolyte in an area of dissimilar metals
11339823 · 2022-05-24 · ·

A sealing system and a method for sealing a metal fastener and members having dissimilar metals for a header connector or a connector device from electrolyte in an area where, in the header connector or the connector device, certain dissimilar metals may be in contact. The metal fastener and other adjoining or abutting dissimilar metals are sealed by a non-conductive seal from electrolyte, thereby protecting the metal fastener and the other adjoining or abutting dissimilar metals from galvanic corrosion and subsequently protecting the integrity of the header connector or the connector device.

Wall nail

A wall nail includes a rod body, a nail head, a rotary head, and a rubber cover. The rod body has a first end portion and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion. The nail head includes a threaded rod and a drill. Two ends of the threaded rod are integrally connected with the second end portion of the rod body and the drill respectively. The rotary head is integrally formed on the first end portion of the rod body. The rubber cover covers the peripheries of the rod body and the rotary head.
