Filter Element Assembly
A filter element assembly comprises a filtration media and an end fitting through which a sealing connection is made between the assembly and a housing so that the end fitting defines a flow path between the housing and the filtration media. The end fitting has first and second parts which can be separated axially, and the filter media extends axially away from the second part in a direction away from the first part. Each of the parts has an outer wall with an external threaded cylindrical surface, and each of the first and second parts has an axially facing edge surface which faces the other of the first and second parts, the facing edge surfaces shaped to define a pre-determined relative rotational alignment of the first and second parts, where the parts fit together so that the threads on the external surfaces of the parts form a continuous thread.
SPACER INSERT
A spacer insert for providing spacing between a first structure and a second structure includes a head having a diameter larger than an opening in the first structure to which the spacer insert is attachable, a hollow cylindrical shaft coupled with and extending from the head that defines at least part of a connector channel, and a thread on an exterior of the hollow cylindrical shaft. The spacer insert provides a better thread engagement, is more economical to install, and is more reliable in service.
MULTI-PIECE BOLTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A bolt includes a threaded shaft and a bolt head. The threaded shaft has a first end, a second opposing end, and an external thread. The first end includes a flared protrusion and the external thread is wrapped about the shaft and extends from the second opposing end to the flared protrusion. The bolt head includes an interior threaded bore for threadingly engaging the external thread of the threaded shaft, a front surface, and an opposing back surface having a recess configured to receive at least a portion of the flared protrusion of the threaded shaft therein.
Threaded fastening
A fastener assembly includes a stud, a threaded sleeve, and a compression spring. The stud includes a shaft with a first head at one end and a second head at an opposite end of the shaft, both heads with opposing bearing surfaces. The threaded sleeve is disposed about the shaft. The threaded sleeve includes external threads and a tubular interior with an inwardly projected shoulder. The compression spring is disposed about the shaft inside the threaded sleeve, with a first end bearing against a shoulder of the threaded sleeve and a second end bearing against a bearing surface of the second head. The spring urges the sleeve against the bearing surface of the first head. The assembly can maintain a preload between two components while allowing the components to be separated, and can also be used as a pressure limiter.

Fastening element
Fastening element (1), in particular mounting bolt, comprising a fixing portion (10), an intermediate portion (20) and a fitting portion (30), wherein the fastening element (1) extends along a longitudinal axis (L), wherein the fixing portion (10) comprises fixing structures, in particular a thread, wherein the intermediate portion (20) is arranged in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L) between the fixing portion (10) and the fitting portion (30), wherein the fitting portion (30) is substantially rotationally symmetrical about the longitudinal axis (L), wherein the fitting portion (30) has an outer support surface (34), wherein the support surface (34) has a clearance fit, and wherein at least in the fitting portion (30) a lubrication groove (32) is provided.
Quick-release engagement device
A quick-release engagement device for a female threaded member includes a tubular member and an actuating unit. The tubular member includes a contractible portion which has a male threaded segment and an actuated segment, and which is divided into a plurality of contractible sectors by a plurality of slits. The actuating unit is configured to press the actuated segment to permit the contractible sectors to deform synchronously from an expanded state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be in threaded engagement with the male threaded segment, to a contracted state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be quickly sleeved on or removed from the male threaded segment.

FASTENING TOOL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A fastening tool system includes a housing including a main body having a proximal end and a distal end. The main body defines an internal chamber extending between a proximal opening at the proximal end and a distal opening at the distal end. A plunger includes a stem that extends into the internal chamber through the proximal opening. The plunger is configured to be moved in relation to the main body between a retracted position and an extended position. A securing stud is in a collapsed position when the plunger is in the retracted position. The plunger is configured to move into the extended position to engage the securing stud to expand the securing stud into an expanded position.
