INTELLIGENT FASTENERS

A fastener system, which includes a fastener with an RFID tag secured to the fastener, wherein the RFID tag includes an antenna communicatively coupled to an integrated circuit which includes a memory. The fastener system further includes an operating system device, which transmits a command signal containing logistics data to the antenna of the RFID tag wherein the antenna receives the command signal and communicates the command signal containing the logistics data to the integrated circuit.

Radio frequency screw antenna and radio frequency screw tag

A radio frequency screw antenna includes a metal radiation body and a coupling loop circuit. The metal radiation body includes a shank having a radial direction, a head connected to the shank, and a groove positioned at the head. A length direction of the groove is parallel to the radial direction. The coupling loop circuit is disposed at a first side wall of the groove.

Multi-Fastener Supply Depletion Indicator

Coil nails and similar fasteners to be driven by an automatic nailing tool have at least two different visual appearances after driving. Fasteners driven from a fresh magazine have a first visual appearance, and fasteners driven thereafter from the same magazine have a second, different visual appearance. A magazine may include fasteners having three or more different appearances. Preferably, all of the different appearances are grouped together so that all of the first appearance fasteners are driven, then all of the second appearance fasteners, and so on, until the last fastener having the last appearance is driven. Visual differences may be in color, size, shape, surface texture, or another characteristic.

VALVE ASSSEMBLY WITH HOLLOW BOLT FOR SECURITY WIRE
20210131585 · 2021-05-06 ·

A valve assembly having a bolt with a through hole for a security wire includes at least one valve of the valve assembly mechanically coupled to a pipe or to a section of another component of the valve assembly by a coupling or by a pair of mating flanges. At least one hollow bolt is bolted through a closing bolt hole of the coupling or a joining bolt hole of the pair of mating flanges. The at least one hollow bolt accepts a safety wire run completely through the hollow bolt in a longitudinal direction of the hollow bolt and extending completely through the closing bolt hole of the coupling or the joining bolt hole of the pair of mating flanges.

Profile Rail End Cap With Nail Holder

An end cap for a profile rail includes a connector for connecting the end cap to the profile rail and a fastening leg, where the fastening leg defines an opening and where a fastening pin is guidable through the opening to mount the profile rail. The opening has a cross-sectional constriction and the fastening pin is holdable in the opening by the cross-sectional constriction.

Expansion Anchor With Protected Optical Code

An expansion anchor includes an anchor bolt with a rear face, a displaceable body located adjacent to the anchor bolt, and at least one wedge body located in a front region of the anchor bolt. The wedge body has a converging zone for displacing the displaceable body. An optically readable code is located at the rear face of the anchor bolt. At least one code protection protrusion projects from the anchor bolt rearwardly beyond the optically readable code.

A system for sorting hardware pieces having first and second characteristics. The system comprises: a chart displaying first values associated with the first characteristic, each first value associated to a unique first graphical combination comprising a first-characteristic background motif and a first-characteristic indicium overlaid thereon; and second values associated with the second characteristic, each second value associated to a unique second graphical combination comprising a second-characteristic background motif and a second-characteristic indicium overlaid thereon; an identification label indicative of the first and second characteristics and comprising: a first section covered with a first graphical composition comprising the first graphical combination; and a second section covered with a second graphical composition comprising the second graphical combination; and a container affixed with the identification label for containing the hardware piece corresponding to the first and second characteristics.

MOUNTING SYSTEM WITH FORCE INDICATOR
20210215176 · 2021-07-15 · ·

A mounting system using a force indicator is disclosed. A screw is used to mount a bracket to a structure. While the screw is being threaded into the structure, the force indicator deforms to provides a visual indication when the screw is tight enough to secure the bracket to the structure without damaging the structure or mounting components. Additionally, a washer may be used with the mounting system. The force indicator can be cylinder shaped with a hole for the screw to pass through. The force indicator can extrude radially as it deforms in order to provide the visual indication.

Blind bolt

A blind bolt and tool is used for fastening a bolt through a hole in a structure when only one side of the structure is accessible. A receiver is formed on the tip end of a bolt shaft opposite from a bolt head. Internal threads are formed within the receiver proximate an outward end, and a hex socket is formed in the inward end of the receiver. External threads and a guide are formed on a tip of the tool, and the external threads mate with the internal threads in the receiver to hold the bolt during installation. A hex key on one end of the tool engages the hex socket in the receiver so that the tool may impose a torque on the bolt when a nut is being tightened on the bolt. In another embodiment, a splined tip is formed on the end of the bolt. The tip is designed to shear off when a sufficient torque is applied. Also, a shim is configured to fit between structures held together by the blind bolt.

MULTIPURPOSE PERSON RELOCATION DEVICE

A person relocation device includes sheet which defines a person space for a person. The sheet includes a left lateral strap, a right lateral strap, a head end strap and a foot end strap. Each strap is attached to the sheet only at a perimeter thereof and does not extend into the person space. The straps are adapted to be connected to a hoist so that when all of the straps are so connected and tensioned by the weight of the person the sheet suspends the person in a seated posture.
