Collision bearing
09732794 · 2017-08-15 ·

A Collision Bearing within a channel means, expressing the universal physical principle of collision. An assembly of two weight-bearing bearings, in two embodiments, for the purpose of moving objects. A slide plate must be attached to the support body of the bearings, whose width is in sliding contact with the inner channel walls, to align the motion of the bearings along the channel. This channel having a flange member, which retains the Collision Bearing within the channel. These two functions, rolling and sliding, simultaneously, demonstrates the universal physical principle of collision being claimed, and places the Collision Bearing in the category of a basic machine in the field of mechanics, as is for example, the nut and bolt. Impact pads are attached to the end walls of the bearing support body as a necessary component part in protecting this body.

An actuator includes a cylinder sandwiched between a fixing plate fixed to the other end surface of a supporting plate together with a servomotor and a bearing housing, a ball screw shaft having one end protruding into the cylinder through through holes of the fixing plate, a slide block screwed with one end of the ball screw shaft in the cylinder, a cylindrical-shaped piston coupled to an end of the slide block and reciprocatably located in the cylinder, linear motion bearing units located inside the bearing housing to movably support the piston, and linear motion bearing units located in the cylinder to movably support the slide block.

Precision single-bearing set roller guide wheel and low profile positioning stages using the same

A roller guide wheel contains a single set of spherical bearings and is constructed with a precision outer race machined into the guide wheel interior and an inner race formed by the surfaces of two conically-tapered set screws that affix the roller guide wheel within a housing made part of a stage slider. The roller guide wheel, which contacts a rail on one side of the stage body and exhibits a non-nutating axis of rotation, serves as way for the translating slider. The way on the opposing side of the slider is a set of v-groove contacts that make sliding contact with a rail on the corresponding side of the stage body. A flexure is machined into the slider permitting preload of the slider contacts points with the rails. The stage geometry permits a large slider through-hole and the use of alternative way mechanisms with the roller guide wheel.

PLASTICS SLIDING ELEMENT WITH SENSOR FUNCTION, IN PARTICULAR WITH WEAR DETECTION

A plastic sliding component for mounting without lubricant in a sliding bearing is proposed, having a moulded part which is manufactured from plastic and has a sliding face for movably guiding two bearing parts relative to one another. An electric function circuit with a sensor function for acquiring an operating parameter is arranged on the moulded part. The invention proposes that the function circuit comprises at least one conductor track structure which is formed on the moulded part as a carrier of the conductor track structure. The function circuit can preferably be applied to the prefabricated moulded part, which is made of plastic, by means of an additive fabrication method (AM method).

A system includes a carriage configured to move along a rail. The system also includes a clamping brake configured to selectively allow and prevent movement of the carriage along the rail. The clamping brake includes multiple brake pads configured to be moved inward to lock onto the rail and to be moved outward to release the rail. The clamping brake also includes multiple springs configured to apply spring forces that cause the brake pads to move inward and lock onto the rail. The clamping brake further includes a camshaft coupled to or including multiple eccentrics. The eccentrics are configured to overcome the spring forces and cause the brake pads to move outward and release the rail.
