BEARING ROLLER ELEMENTS AND ASSEMBLY

Improved bearing roller elements are disclosed. A first disclosed improvement is the addition of vanes to a ring-roller type element which allows fluids (such as liquids or gases) to flow through the bearing assembly. The fluids can then provide convection cooling. With proper configuration, the use of such vaned ring-roller elements can even allow the creation of a pump, either as part of the larger apparatus' cooling system or as a dedicated device. A second disclosed improvement, which can be used in combination with the first or in isolation, is the use of magnetic spokes in ring-roller type elements which allows them to be driven by an electromagnetic field. The use of such magnetic elements in the bearing roller elements also allows electromagnetic braking and/or regenerative braking.

A bearing assembly incorporating the roller elements in a ring configuration and using pre-load to produce additional benefits is also disclosed.

BEARING WITH INTEGRATED WEDGE LOCKING ASSEMBLY

A drive assembly including a wedge clutch assembly is disclosed. The wedge clutch assembly includes a first cage having a first plurality of tapered crossbars that at least partially define a plurality of tapered wedge pockets. A plurality of wedges are each arranged within a respective one of the plurality of wedge pockets and within a circumferential groove of one of an outer ring or an inner ring. The plurality of wedges each including a ramped surface facing a corresponding one of a plurality of ramps defined in the outer ring or inner ring. Movement of the first plurality of tapered crossbars in a first axial direction or a second axial direction circumferentially drives the plurality of wedges into contact with the circumferential groove such that an input drive gear drives an output.

When compressed air does not act, a seal member is in contact with an outer periphery of an inner ring. When the compressed air acts, a contact area between the seal member and the outer periphery of the inner ring is reduced, as compared to when the compressed air does not act. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an air turbine bearing unit capable of promptly stopping rotation.

CLAMPING APPARATUS FOR SECURING A MAIN BEARING OF A WIND TURBINE DURING AN INSTALLATION AND/OR REPAIR PROCEDURE

The present disclosure is directed to a clamping apparatus for securing a main bearing of a wind turbine. The clamping apparatus includes a clamp member configured for securement to a seal ring arranged with the main bearing, at least one clamping fastener configured through the clamp member, and at least one jacking fastener configured through the clamp member. Thus, the clamping fastener is configured to tighten the clamp member around the seal ring, whereas the jacking fastener is configured to push against the main bearing when tightened so as to maintain the main bearing in place during and installation and/or repair procedure.

Electronic devices, such as consumer electronics devices and constrol systems in vehicles are controlled by way of a haptic operating device with a rotating unit. Selectable menu items are displayed on a display unit, and a menu item is selected by rotating the rotating unit. The rotating unit latches at a number of haptically perceptible latching points during rotation. The number and rotational position of the haptically perceptible latching points is dynamically changed in accordance with a specific menu item selected by the user.

A hand-held machine tool device, in particular, for a screwdriver (12a-h), having a locking device (14a-h) for locking a power take-off unit (16a-h), and having a rotational bearing device (18a-h) of the power take-off unit (16a-h). It is provided that at least part of the locking device (14a-h) and the rotational bearing device (18a-h) be formed in one piece.

Rolling element bearing, more particularly slew ring

A rolling element bearing having inner and outer bearing rings with rolling elements therebetween, and an angle-of-rotation limiting device that limits the relative rotation between the inner and outer bearing rings within an angle-of-rotation range from 0? to greater than 360? and includes a first stop element arranged on the inner bearing ring and a second stop element arranged on the outer bearing ring. The first stop element is formed by a plurality of individual radial base bores arranged in peripheral succession in a row on the outer lateral surface of the inner bearing ring and by a slotted-hole-type radial base groove arranged between first and last radial base bores, and one or two separate angle limiters protruding radially beyond the radial base bores or groove can be inserted into the radial base bores or the radial base groove depending on the size of the angle of rotation to be limited.

CLUTCHED CENTRIFUGAL FORCE BEARING
