Combined insulator and conductor assembly for bearings with clip-mounted conductor
A combined electrical insulator and conductor assembly for a bearing disposable between a shaft and a housing. An annular insulator is disposeable about the bearing and configured to prevent electric current flow between an outer ring and the housing. An electrical conductor has retainer(s) releasably engaged with the insulator so as to couple the conductor with the bearing, an outer radial end and an inner radial end. The conductor outer radial end, or/and a portion of the conductor between the outer and inner ends, is conductively engageable with the housing and the conductor inner radial end is conductively engageable with the shaft so as to provide an electrically conductive path between the shaft and the housing. Preferably, the conductor includes a conductive disk having arcuate retainer clips engageable with an insulator groove of the insulator and a brush subassembly including conductive fibers engaged with the shaft outer surface.
SWIVEL JOINT WITH ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY GREASE FITTING
A swivel joint includes a tail section and a body portion that define a passageway therethrough and which can rotate relative to one another. One or more seals and bearings can be disposed between the tail section and the body portion. An electrical conductivity grease fitting can be mounted within a bore hole in the body portion. The electrical conductivity grease fitting can have a lubricant passed therethrough to lubricate the bearings. The electrical conductivity grease fitting has a first portion in electrical communication with the body portion and a second portion that is biased into electrical communication with the tail section to maintain electrical conductivity between the tail section and the body portion.
BEARING WITH INTEGRATED SHUNT
A bearing assembly having an inner ring, outer ring, and a plurality of rolling elements and an integrated electrically conductive element, such as an electrical shunt system manufactured of bundled or braided conductive filaments.
The bearing integrated electrical shunt system consists of a fixed ring and an integrated electrically conductive element, such as bundled carbon fiber filaments, that contact a rotating ring. The integrated electrical conductive element can be integrated with the bearing seal.
Rolling bearing cage
A rolling bearing cage includes at least one cage side ring and a plurality of cage bars extending from the cage side ring so as to form a plurality of pockets, each pocket being defined between a separate pair of adjacent bars, for receiving rolling bodies of the rolling bearing. A cage breakage detection unit includes at least one conductive track and a module for wireless cage breakage monitoring. The cage has at least one recess, in which at least a prefabricated part of the cage breakage detection unit is inserted and fixed.
ROLLING BEARING COMPRISING AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT FOR A ROLLING BEARING
A rolling bearing including an electric circuit is disclosed. According to the invention, a first electrically insulating layer is applied directly to at least one surface portion of the rolling bearing. A first electrically conductive layer which includes a plurality of conductor paths with contact points for electrically contacting electrical components is provided on top of the first electrically insulating layer.
PLASTICS SLIDING ELEMENT WITH SENSOR FUNCTION, IN PARTICULAR WITH WEAR DETECTION
A plastic sliding component for mounting without lubricant in a sliding bearing is proposed, having a moulded part which is manufactured from plastic and has a sliding face for movably guiding two bearing parts relative to one another. An electric function circuit with a sensor function for acquiring an operating parameter is arranged on the moulded part. The invention proposes that the function circuit comprises at least one conductor track structure which is formed on the moulded part as a carrier of the conductor track structure. The function circuit can preferably be applied to the prefabricated moulded part, which is made of plastic, by means of an additive fabrication method (AM method).
MOTOR AND ELECTRIC APPARATUS INCLUDING THE SAME
A motor according to the present disclosure includes a stator that includes a stator core around which a stator winding is wound; a rotating body that holds a plurality of magnets in a circumferential direction facing the stator or holds a plurality of magnets in a spoke shape from a center; a rotor that includes the rotating body, and a shaft fastened to the rotating body such that the shaft penetrates a center of the rotating body; two bearings that support the rotating body; a first metal bracket that fixes one bearing of the two bearings; and a second metal bracket that fixes the other bearing of the two bearings, and a capacitive member that has a capacitance C.sub.sb1sb2 and is located between the first metal bracket and the second metal bracket.
GROUNDING BRUSH ASSEMBLY
A grounding brush assembly includes a grounding brush with a plurality of conductive fibers and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes a radial main body, a plurality of retaining tongues extending from the main body for axially and radially retaining the brush, and a centering means extending from the main body and at least locally surrounding the grounding brush while remaining radially separated therefrom. The centering means has an outer surface defining the outer diameter of the mounting plate. The mounting plate further includes at least one mounting tongue which protrudes outwardly with respect to the outer surface of the centering means and which is flexible in the radial direction.
ELECTRICAL MACHINE WITH A CONDUCTIVE SLEEVE
An electrical machine providing a stationary part, a turning part, at least one bearing and an earthing fibre brush. The electrical machine having a conductive sleeve with an annular base made of an electrically conductive material, the annular base being fixed to the turning part or to a turning race of the bearing, and a conductive coating based on chromium nitride covering at least partly a surface of the base (21) so that the free end of the fibres is in sliding contact against the coating based on chromium nitride.
GROUNDING BRUSH ASSEMBLY
A grounding brush assembly includes a grounding brush and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes a radial main body and a plurality of tongues for axially and radially retaining the brush, the tongues extending from the main body and being spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction. The mounting plate further includes a plurality of centering tabs which extend from the main body and are offset radially outwardly at least partially with respect to the tongues.
