Turbocharger with journal bearing
A turbocharger assembly can include a housing with a through bore and an axial face disposed in the through bore; a locating plate with a keyed opening attached to the housing; and a journal bearing disposed in the through bore where the journal bearing includes a keyed compressor end and an enlarged outer portion defined between two axial faces by an outer diameter and an axial length where the axial face disposed in the through bore of the housing, the locating plate, and the two axial faces of the journal bearing axially locate the journal bearing in the through bore and where the keyed opening of the locating plate and the keyed compressor end of the journal bearing azimuthally locate the journal bearing in the through bore. Various other examples of devices, assemblies, systems, methods, etc., are also disclosed.
AXLE WHEEL END AXIAL THRUST ASSEMBLY
An axle assembly of a vehicle including a differential assembly, a first axle tube including a proximal end adjacent the differential assembly, an opposite distal end, and an axle bore extending therebetween, a first axle shaft rotatably received in the first axle tube, the first axle shaft including a proximal end disposed in the differential assembly, and an opposite distal end extending outwardly from the distal end of the first axle shaft, and a radial bearing assembly including an inner cup, an outer cup and a plurality of roller elements rotatably received therebetween, the outer cup being axially fixed within the axle bore of the first axle tube and the inner cup being axially fixed to the first axle shaft.
Turbocharger assembly
A turbocharger assembly can include a housing that includes a bore defined by a bore wall and a pin socket that forms an opening in the bore wall; a bearing that includes a pin opening defined by a pin opening surface; a pin, where the pin includes a longitudinal pin axis and a pin surface; a groove in the pin opening surface or the pin surface, where the groove includes an axial length; wherein, in a positioned state of bearing in the bore and the pin in the pin socket with part of the pin in the pin opening, a clearance exists between the bearing and the bore wall, where the groove is in fluid communication with the clearance to form a supply path for lubricant from the clearance to an interface between the pin surface and the pin opening surface.
DRIVE UNIT FOR A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a drive unit (10) for a vehicle comprising an electric machine (12) having a rotor shaft (14) and a transmission (16) with a transmission shaft (18), wherein the transmission shaft (18) is rotatably mounted in a first housing section (22) by means of a first rolling bearing (20) and the rotor shaft (14) is rotatably mounted in a second housing section (26) by means of a rolling second bearing (24). According to the invention, the transmission shaft (18) and the rotor shaft (14) are coupled to another in a rotationally fixed manner, wherein a third rolling bearing (28) which has an inner bearing ring (30) is arranged at the transition between the transmission shaft (18) and the rotor shaft (14), wherein the inner bearing ring (30) is in contact with the rotor shaft (14) and the transmission shaft (18) with its inner surface (32).
ATTACHMENT OF PDC BEARING MEMBERS, BEARING ASSEMBLIES INCORPORATING SAME AND RELATED METHODS
Bearing assemblies and methods of manufacturing bearing assemblies are provided in the present disclosure. In one embodiment, a bearing assembly includes a base member and at least one bearing element coupled to the base member. The bearing element may be coupled with the base member by at least two different coupling techniques, including two of: a mechanical fastener, a clamped structure, a geometrical fit, welding, and brazing. In one embodiment, a first technique may include use of a mechanical fastener and a second technique may include welding or brazing. In another embodiment, a first technique may include use of a clamping mechanism or structure and a second technique may include welding or brazing. In another embodiment, a first technique may include use of a geometrical fit and a second technique may include welding or brazing.
Offset compound bearing assembly
Systems and methods are provided for a compound bearing assembly including an offset coupler supporting an inner bearing and an outer bearing for distributing a rotational loading of the compound bearing assembly. In some embodiments, at least one of the bearings comprises a bearing cage with a plurality of elongated openings for receiving a respective plurality of balls. The compound bearing assembly is configured to support a drive shaft of a supercharger system of a vehicle or some other rotational system.
PLUMMER BLOCK
A plummer block includes a bearing and a bearing housing that accommodates and supports the bearing. The bearing housing includes an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion that is separate from the upper housing portion. The upper housing portion has a first surface facing downward. The lower housing portion has a second surface facing upward. The first surface has: a contact region in contact with the second surface; and a first protruding region protruding from the contact region at least outward in a radial direction of the bearing when viewed in the up-down direction.
Fluid film bearing for a wind turbine
A fluid bearing for a wind turbine including a bearing housing, a plurality of bearing pads inside the bearing housing and circumferentially distributed around a longitudinal axis of the fluid bearing, a plurality of supporting structures, each supporting structure having at least a first interface detachably connected to a respective seat provided in the bearing housing and at least a second interface detachably connected to a respective bearing pad of the plurality of bearing pads, the supporting structure including an elastomer allowing tilting of the respective bearing pad parallel to the longitudinal axis, the elastomer being interposed between the respective seat and the respective bearing pad is provided.
Roll stand
A roll stand for the rolling of rolling stock, especially metal products. The roll stand includes at least two chocks for mounting at least one roll, the roll being rotatably mounted in the chocks by its two cylindrical roll necks. A cylindrical neck bushing is arranged on the roll neck with radial play. A rotationally fixed annual axial bearing is axially offset from the neck bushing. The bearing arrangement for the roll necks in the chocks is formed as a plain bearing, preferably a hydrodynamic oil film bearing. When subjected to a load in a rolling process, the neck bushing moves and deforms not only in the radial direction, but also in the axial direction.
ACTUATOR
An actuator includes a swing portion swingable about a first axis orthogonal to a central axis extending vertically and about a second axis orthogonal to the first axis and intersecting the central axis. An angle detector includes a pair of first angle detection elements above a non-magnetic structure and extending in the second axis direction with the first axis interposed therebetween when viewed from the central axis direction, and a pair of second angle detection elements extending in the first axis direction with the second axis interposed therebetween. Each of the first angle detection elements and each of the second angle detection elements include a columnar magnetic structure between the swing portion and the non-magnetic structure in the central axis direction, and a detection coil along the outer periphery of the magnetic structure.
