Bearing bush and journal bearing assembly
A bearing bush configured to support a journal of a journal cross of a cardan shaft includes a cylindrical circumferential wall that radially delimits an interior for receiving rolling elements and the journal and includes a base axially delimiting the interior. The base has a central holder configured to receive a slip disk for contacting the journal. The base may include a conical portion extending from the cylindrical circumferential wall and a flat central portion, and the holder may be formed as a depression in the flat central portion. Also a journal bearing assembly including the bearing bush.
Bearing assembly for roller boot arrangement
A bearing assembly is disclosed herein that is configured for use in a rubber boot arrangement. The bearing assembly includes an outer ring, an inner ring, a plurality of rolling elements supported between the outer ring and the inner ring, and a cage configured to retain the plurality of rolling elements. A seal assembly is provided that includes at least one sealing element and a seal insert that is configured to define a first axial stop face for the cage.
Component of a universal joint bearing
A component of a universal joint bearing includes at least one casing having a cylindrical wall and a base and at least one formation projecting from the base. The at least one formation is receivable in a clamp of a rotational processing machine to secure the component to the rotational processing machine during a rotational machining of a wall of the component. Also a method that includes clamping the component by the formation and machining inner and outer surfaces of the component without unclamping the component.
RECIPROCATION-DAMPENING DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Mechanical stresses caused by jarring axial loads reduce the operational life of conventional drive shaft assemblies, increase non-productive downtime, and increase costs. A reciprocation-dampening drive shaft assembly is disclosed that allows the drive shaft to rotate and withstand axial loads, as well as vibration, without slippage or damage to the adapters of the drive shaft assembly, thereby extending productive uptime of drilling operations. The reciprocation-dampening drive shaft assembly includes first and second reciprocation-dampening adapters, first and second floating seats, first and second drive shaft portions, first and second floating rings, first and second reciprocation-dampening adapter caps with dampener inserts, and first and second boots. The spheroidal ends of the first and second drive shaft portions have limited axial freedom of motion while rotating without damaging the adapters. In addition, the dampener insert included with the first and second reciprocation-dampening adapter caps reduce vibration.
Constant velocity joint
A constant velocity joint includes: an outer joint member having a raceway groove; an inner joint member having a leg shaft; a roller that is able to roll on the raceway groove; and a needle bearing that supports an inner periphery of the roller such that the inner periphery of the roller is able to rotate with respect to the leg shaft. The leg shaft includes: a roll portion that supports the needle bearing; a contact portion that is able to contact an end face of the needle bearing, the end face facing a first side in the direction of a central axis of the needle bearing; and a recess portion formed between the roll portion and the contact portion, in a position where the recess portion is recessed from a space in which the needle bearing is disposed.
A thrust washer is provided that is configured to prevent wear, abrasion, or other damage to the bearing components. The thrust washer can be configured to be directly attached to any of the bearing components, such as the inner ring or the inner sleeve.
Sliding cage of universal joint for vehicle
The present invention relates to a sliding cage of universal joint for vehicle, and more particularly, to a sliding cage of universal joint for vehicle for making a shaft joint and a pipe joint smoothly slide as well as operating an elastically contacted needle bearing, installed to the sliding cage, when a universal joint is slipped or delivers rotating torque. The present invention provides a sliding cage of universal joint for vehicle, comprising: a sleeve; a plurality of mountings positioned to keep distance along the longitudinal direction of the outer side of the sleeve; and a needle bearing and a ball bearing which are installed to the mountings, wherein the sliding cage is provided to the universal joint constructing a steering apparatus for vehicle, thereby being assembled to deliver torque while being slipped toward axial direction.
Rotodynamically isolated magnetic coupling
An inner barrel shaft is separate from the shaft of the first rotating machine. A first bearing assembly is configured to support the inner barrel shaft. The first bearing assembly is separate from the first rotating machine. An outer barrel includes an outer barrel shaft that is separate from a shaft of a second rotating machine. The outer barrel is configured to be coupled to the shaft of the second rotating machine. The second rotating machine is configured to drive or be driven by the first rotating machine. The outer barrel is fluidically isolated from the inner barrel. The outer barrel is configured to surround the inner barrel. The outer barrel is magnetically coupled to the inner barrel to co-rotate with the inner barrel. A second bearing assembly is configured to support the outer barrel shaft. The second bearing assembly is separate from the second rotating machine.
Sealing assembly for a cup bearing of a universal joint
A sealing assembly for a cup bearing of a universal joint includes a seal sub-assembly configured to be positioned in a space between a cup of the cup bearing and a trunnion of the universal joint. The seal sub-assembly includes an elastic sealing member configured to contact an outer surface of the trunnion, and a seal insert attached to the elastic sealing member and configured to contact an inner surface of the cup. The seal insert includes an extension portion configured to contact and extend away from a rim surface of the cup. The sealing assembly further includes an external shield including an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion is configured to contact the outer surface of the trunnion, and the outer portion is attached to the extension portion of the seal insert.
Universal shaft with a generator for generating electricity
