Fourier transform spectrophotometer
10837829 · 2020-11-17 · ·

In an infrared spectrophotometer, a plurality of rolling elements are provided between a movable portion and the holding portion. While no external force is applied from a spring, a play space is generated between the movable portion, the holding portion, and each rolling element. In the infrared spectrophotometer, when the movable mirror and the movable portion are slid, an external force directed downward is applied to the movable portion by the spring, thereby preventing each rolling element from moving between the movable portion and the holding portion. Accordingly, when the movable mirror and the movable portion are slid, it is possible to suppress rattling of the movable portion and the holding portion while leaving a fine gap between the movable portion, the holding portion, and each rolling element. This makes it possible to easily control the moving speeds of the movable mirror and the movable portion and to suppress rattling of the movable mirror and the movable portion.

Laterally unconstrained magnetic joint for tip tilt and piston-tip-tilt mounts

The subject of this invention is a laterally unconstrained magnetic joint and application of said joint in tip-tilt and piston-tip-tilt optical mounts. The laterally unconstrained magnetic joint in its basic embodiment comprises two interfacing parts: one having a flat surface interfacing a convex surface of the other, wherein one or both parts are made from permanent magnets that are magnetized along the axis of the joint, and the other of the said parts is made from a ferromagnetic material thus creating magnetic force attraction between the two parts. The resulting lack of lateral mechanical constraint between the two parts of the joint is utilized in tip-tilt mounts by decoupling an adjustor and/or actuator from the payload resulting in a simple, uniform design, while magnetic force provides retention sufficient for a wide variety of applications.

Wearable Device And Its Pivoting Module

A wearable device includes a frame, two feet, and two pivoting modules. Each of the pivoting modules includes a first bracket fixedly connected to the frame, and a second bracket fixedly connected to one of the feet and pivotally coupled to the first bracket. The second bracket includes a positioning member and an inserting member. The positioning member is located in the first bracket, and the positioning member includes a plurality of slots. The inserting member is switchably inserted into one of the slots for adjusting a maximum outreaching volume from the frame to the feet.

A hydrostatic bearing is provided which may include foot part supporting a load- carrying unit, a head part, and body part forming a lower chamber and an upper chamber. A lower member is supported by the load-carrying unit and arranged inside the lower chamber. An upper member is controllable by a pressurizing fluid and arranged inside the upper chamber. The lower member is controllably moveable along a central axis of the hydrostatic bearing between a retracted state, where the lower member is distanced from the upper member, and an extended state, where the lower member is also in contact with the upper member. The hydrostatic bearing acts both as a conventional slave bearing and a conventional master bearing.

A structure applies a pre-load to a rolling bearing, which makes pre-load control easier than heretofore and enables low cost production. A pre-load applying structure is configured to apply a pre-load to a bearing of a scanning part of a three-dimensional survey device. The three-dimensional survey device includes the bearing having an inner ring to which a vertically rotating shaft is fixed, a scanning mirror attached to the vertically rotating shaft, and a motor for rotationally driving the vertically driving shaft. The pre-load applying structure has a sleeve that engages with an outer ring of the bearing, a plate spring that detachably engages with the sleeve and is fastened to a housing body with a screw, and a ring that detachably join the sleeve and the plate spring. The plate spring applies the pre-load to the outer ring via the sleeve by elastic deforming.

A positioning stage employs a constraining plate having three contact elements fixed therein, each contact element protruding from the constraining plate providing a lower engagement surface and an upper engagement surface. A first plate has at least two slots aligned for a first axis of translation. The slots are engaged by the lower engagement surfaces the contact elements. A second plate has at least two slots aligned for a second axis of translation. The slots are engaged by the upper engagement surface of two of the contact elements, thereby providing two axes of motion for positioning.
