PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION, METHODS FOR TREATING AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition according to the claim 1 comprising an SGLT2 inhibitor and a GLP-1 receptor agonist which is suitable in the treatment or prevention of diabetes mellitus, impaired glucose tolerance, hyperglycemia or other conditions. In addition the present invention relates to methods for preventing or treating of metabolic disorders and related conditions.
TREATMENT WITH ANTI-PCSK9 ANTIBODIES
The present invention relates to therapeutic dosing regimens utilizing a dose reduction strategy for treating disorders characterized by marked elevations of low density protein cholesterol (LDL-C) in the plasma of a patient. The subject therapeutic dosing regimens involve delivering as a single administration or plurality of administrations of an anti-proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type 9 (PCSK9) antagonist antibody as an initial dose of at least about 100 mg, and delivering as a single administration or plurality of administrations at a subsequent dose in an amount that is about the same as the initial dose, or at least half the initial dose after the patient has a LDL-C level at or below about 25, 20, 15 or 10 mg/dL, preferably at or below 10 mg/dL.
Stabilized modified release Vitamin D formulation and method of administering same
A stabilized formulation for controlled release of a vitamin D compound is disclosed. The formulation comprises one or both of 25-hydroxyvitamin D.sub.2 and 25-hydroxyvitamin D.sub.3 and a cellulosic compound. The stabilized formulations exhibit a stable dissolution profile following exposure to storage conditions and demonstrate improved pharmacokinetic parameters compared to unstabilized formulations.
ANTI-PACAP ANTIBODIES AND USES THEREOF
The present invention is directed to antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof having binding specificity for PACAP. The antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof comprise the sequences of the V.sub.H, V.sub.L, and CDR polypeptides described herein, and the polynucleotides encoding them. Antibodies and antigen binding fragments described herein bind to and/or compete for binding to the same linear or conformational epitope(s) on human PACAP as an anti-PACAP antibody. The invention contemplates conjugates of anti-PACAP antibodies and binding fragments thereof conjugated to one or more functional or detectable moieties. Methods of making said anti-PACAP antibodies and antigen binding fragments thereof are also contemplated. Other embodiments of the invention contemplate using anti-PACAP antibodies, and binding fragments thereof, for the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of diseases and disorders associated with PACAP and conditions where antagonism of PACAP-related activities, such as vasodilation, photophobia, mast cell degranulation, and/or neuronal activation, would be therapeutically beneficial.
1,2,5-oxadiazoles as inhibitors of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase
The present invention is directed to 1,2,5-oxadiazole derivatives, and compositions of the same, which are inhibitors of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase and are useful in the treatment of cancer and other disorders, and to the processes and intermediates for making such 1,2,5-oxadiazole derivatives.
Kinase inhibitors
There are provided compounds of formula IIb, ##STR00001##
wherein LG.sup.1 represents imidazolyl, chloro or aryloxy, which compounds are useful in the preparation of compounds that have antiinflammatory activity (e.g. through inhibition of one or more of members of: the family of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase enzymes; Syk kinase; and members of the Src family of tyrosine kinases) and have use in therapy, including in pharmaceutical combinations, especially in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, including inflammatory diseases of the lung, eye and intestines.
Diacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 inhibitors
Compounds of Formula I that inhibit the activity of the diacylglycerol acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2) and their uses in the treatment of diseases linked thereto in animals are described herein.
COMPLIMENT FACTOR I BIOASSAY
The present invention relates to a CFI bioactivity assay designed to quantitatively measure (a) CFI bioactivity of plasma or other body fluids; and (b) bioactivity of CFI in plasma or other body fluids of a human patient afflicted by a disease that involves amyloid deposition in tissues, in particular Alzheimer disease, AMD, glaucoma, or beta-amyloid cataract formation.
LOW, IMMUNE ENHANCING, DOSE MTOR INHIBITORS AND USES THEREOF
The present invention relates, in part, to compositions and methods for enhancement of an immune response by partial mTOR inhibition, e.g., with low, immune enhancing, doses of an mTOR inhibitor, such as RAD001.
Compounds as modulators of GPR-119
The present invention relates to novel compounds of formula (A) and (B) as modulators of GPR-119, methods of preparing them, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and methods of treatment, prevention and/or amelioration of GPR-119 mediated diseases or disorders with them.
