The outer connector includes a profile disposed on an inner surface of the outer connector, and the inner connector may be disposed within the outer connector and can include an upper threaded portion and a lower threaded portion. The clutch can be disposed around and rotationally coupled to the inner connector and can include a plurality of clutch teeth extending from an outer surface of the clutch, wherein the plurality of clutch teeth are outwardly biased to be releasably engaged with the profile of the outer connector. The plurality of clutch teeth can be configured to transfer torque from the outer connector to the inner connector when the torque is below a torque limit, and prevent transfer of torque when the torque exceeds the torque limit.
ISOLATED DRIVE ASSEMBLY WITH AN ISOLATOR ASSEMBLY AND A TORQUE LIMITER FOR LIMITING THE TRANSMISSION OF TORQUE THROUGH AN ELASTOMERIC ELEMENT OF THE ISOLATOR ASSEMBLY
An isolated drive assembly that includes a drive member, which is rotatable about a rotational axis, a drive member hub, which is rotatable about the rotational axis relative to the drive member, an isolator assembly, which has an elastomeric element that transmits rotary power between the drive member and the drive member hub, and a torque limiter. The torque limiter has first and second sets of engagable limiter elements that limit rotation of the drive member relative to the drive member hub in opposite rotational directions to limit a magnitude of a moment that is transmitted through the elastomeric element.
VEHICLE TABLE DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle table device that is extracted toward a driver or a passenger to place food or books thereon for a simple meal or reading, the vehicle table device including: a housing that is accommodated inside a dashboard and has an open front surface; a table that is accommodated inside the housing and selectively extracted from or retracted into the front surface of the housing; and an operation member that is disposed between a bottom surface of the housing and the table and allows the table to be extracted from or retracted into the housing.
TORQUE-LIMITING SPINDLE
An exemplary torque-limiting spindle includes an input member, an output member, a clutch mechanism, and a bias mechanism. The input member extends along a longitudinal axis, is configured for connection with a handle, and includes a first engagement feature. The output member extends along the longitudinal axis, is configured for connection with a rotatable member of a lockset, and includes a second engagement feature. The clutch mechanism includes the first engagement feature and the second engagement feature. The bias mechanism is engaged with the input member and the output member and exerts a biasing force urging the first engagement feature and the second engagement feature into engagement with one another.
TORQUE LIMITING CONNECTOR
Connectors are disclosed that include an outer connector, inner connector, and a clutch that can collectively limit a torque transmitted through the connector.
Gearless spring washer high torque device
Disposable torque-limiting mechanisms with upper shank component with a torque-limiting interface, a lower shank component with a torque-limiting interface, and a washer assembly biasing element. Torque-limiting interfaces having a plurality of undulations arranged around an axial bore or drive socket and separated by a plurality of transition regions, with each undulation having an upslope, a peak, and a downslope. The torque-limiting interfaces are configured to engage and disengage to provide torque transmission with predetermined torque limits at various rotational speeds and for amounts of actuations while remaining within a specified operational range.
HAND-WOUND POWERED TOOTHBRUSH WITH REPLACEABLE BRUSH HEAD
A toothbrush includes a removable, replaceable brush head that includes a clip that also serves as a removal tool for a spent brush head. The toothbrush may be a manually-wound or charged, powered toothbrush that includes a winding mechanism, an energy storage element, and an output gear train to cause a rotating, oscillating or sweeping brush head to move, thus improving the efficacy of the user's oral-care regimen.
CLUTCH APPARATUS
An excessive torque releasing type clutch apparatus which can release torque when an excessive torque is input thereto, comprises an outer ring 3, an inner ring 5 arranged radially inside and in coaxial with the center axis of the outer ring 3 and rotatably relative to the outer ring 3, a torque transmitting portion that is capable of transmitting torque having the center axis as the center between the outer ring 3 and the inner ring 5, and a restricting mechanism for restricting a torque that exceeds a predetermined torque from being input from an input torque transmitting member to a driving ring of the outer ring 3 and the inner ring 5 and an inverse torque that is input to a driven ring of the outer ring 3 and the inner ring 5 and exceeds the predetermined torque from being input to the input torque transmitting member. Treatment step for securing strength of constituent members of the clutch apparatus in manufacturing process can be simplified or omitted.
Smart real-time prediction system for power transmission
Monitoring and control of power or drive couplings in mechanical drive systems is performed using sensors at an interface of the coupling and an overload disengagement component at the coupling. A local sensor and actuation module having a wireless communication port receives signals from the sensors and uses the signals to monitoring a load on the drive coupling. An overload disengagement circuit responsive to the monitored load and provides a disconnect signal responsive to a sensed overload condition, and communicates with the local sensor and actuation module using an Internet of Things (IoT) link, using a blockchain enablement protocol. The local sensor and actuation module provide an override capability in the event of a communication failure of the IoT link.
Drive arrangement
A drive arrangement for adjusting an aerodynamic flap on a vehicle. The drive arrangement includes an electric motor, a spur gear mechanism having gear stages, an output shaft, and at least two housing halves. The spur gear mechanism includes at least one self-locking gear stage that does not form the first gear stage nor the last gear stage of the spur gear mechanism. A safety coupling is arranged between the self-locking gear stage and the output shaft to disengage the output drive on overload in order to protect the flap attached thereto from damage.
