MEDICAL HANDLE WITH PNEUMATIC SAFETY COUPLING
A medical handle for pneumatically or hydraulically driven medical instruments or motor units includes a clutch member for mechanical and pneumatic/hydraulic coupling of a corresponding clutch member and a manually operable valve mechanism for selective pressurization of a medical instrument coupled thereto or the motor unit thereof, the valve mechanism being provided with a safety device for preventing pressurization in the case of an uncoupled medical instrument or the motor unit thereof. The clutch member present on the side of the handle is provided to interact with the valve mechanism such that during or by the mechanical coupling operation the latter is automatically opened and/or enabled for manual opening, whereas in the uncoupled state the valve mechanism is closed and/or enabling is cancelled.

An actuating apparatus has a first and a second actuating element that delimit a pressure chamber. The actuating apparatus has a rotary decoupling bearing coupled via a compensation assembly to the second actuating element for joint movement along the spatial axis. The compensation assembly comprises a first ramp element which is supported axially on the second actuating element and is preloaded relative to the second actuating element by a first preloading apparatus for rotation about the spatial axis and a second ramp element coupled to the rotary decoupling bearing. An axial overall length of the compensation group along the spatial axis changes in the case of a rotation, of the first ramp element relative to the second actuating element. The compensation assembly has a blocking element and a blocking toothing system in blocking engagement with a counter-blocking toothing system of the first ramp element
Fan clutch
A fan clutch assembly includes several features. A first feature relates to a lubrication passage that runs through the clutch package and has a return collection passage that extends through the operating piston. As a result, pitot tubes employed behind the piston may not be necessitated. Additionally, an anti-tamper device may be installed on the lead screw body to prevent adjustment of the fan hub and unintentional adjustment of the load carried on various bearings contained within the fan clutch assembly. Additionally, to position the speed sensor appropriately, a transfer shaft is provided that extends from the fan hub and/or lead screw back to the backside where a sensor is provided. This transfer shaft can be adjusted to precisely locate the sensor target relative to the sensor.

A fan clutch assembly includes several features. The identification structure for components of the clutch piston mechanism according to an embodiment of the present invention includes an identifying part that is provided to a piston seal as a component of the clutch piston mechanism and is used for identifying the piston seal. The identifying part has a pattern formed by differences in surface roughness.
