SUPPORT BRACKET
A bracket for connecting a brake caliper to a portion of a vehicle. The bracket includes a longitudinal section that extends between a first end and an opposing second end. The bracket includes a first extension that extends cantilevered from the first end of the bracket, and a second extension that extends cantilevered from the second end.
METAL HYBRID GRINDING WHEEL WITH COATED FILLER PARTICLES
Various embodiments disclosed relate to an abrasive article. The abrasive article includes a metallic matrix component, an abrasive particle component dispersed within the metallic matrix component; and a filler particle component dispersed within the metallic matrix component. A portion of the filler particle component is at least partially coated by a first metallic layer. Additionally, a hardness of the abrasive particle component is greater than a hardness of the filler particle component
BRAKE DISK AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BRAKE DISK
A brake disk for a wheel brake of a land vehicle includes a main body formed from gray cast iron. The main body has at least one axial friction side, at least one anti-corrosion layer applied to the axial friction side, and at least one anti-abrasion layer applied to the anti-corrosion layer. The anti-corrosion layer is a duplex steel layer that provides a cost-effective coating for the brake disk and enables improved corrosion resistance. The anti-abrasion layer is wear resistant and is provided by a SiC material containing at least one oxidic or metallic binder, or by an iron-based alloy having a vanadium carbide reinforcement, a niobium carbide reinforcement, a boron carbide reinforcement, a chromium carbide reinforcement or combinations thereof.
SEGMENTED LAYER CARBON FIBER PREFORM
A preform for a carbon-carbon composite including a plurality of fibrous layers stacked and needled-punched together to form the preform in the shape of an annulus having an inner radial section and an outer radial section. Each fibrous layer includes a respective plurality of fabric segments comprising at least one of carbon fibers or carbon-precursor fibers. At least one fibrous layer includes a first fabric segment forming at least a portion the inner radial section, the first fabric segment defining a first segment bisector and a first fiber orientation angle, and a second fabric segment forming at least a portion the outer radial section, the second fabric segment defining a second segment bisector and a second fiber orientation angle, where the first and second segment bisectors are radially aligned and the first fiber orientation angle is different than the second fiber orientation angle.
COUPLING ELEMENT HAVING VIBRATION DAMPING
A coupling for connection of an encoder to an electrical machine includes an encoder shaft end piece for coupling to a shaft of the encoder, and a machine shaft end piece for coupling to a shaft of the electrical machine. At least one of the end pieces has a carrier which is formed with a cavity filled with granular material, preferably steel powder, to effect a dampening of vibrations and impacts.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN AUTOMOTIVE FRICTION MATERIAL WITH OPTIMIZED MULTI DIMENSIONAL CONSTRUCTION
A method for producing an automotive friction material with optimized multi-dimensional construction includes receiving a base friction-disc material, cutting the base friction-disc material to a predetermined size and shape, assembling the sized and shaped cut base friction-disc material, bonding the base friction-disc material to a base friction plate, and utilizing a multi nozzle printing array to deposit friction enhancing materials overtop a reaction surface of the base friction-disc material.
FRICTION MATERIAL COMPOSITION, FRICTION MATERIAL, AND FRICTION MEMBER
There are provided a friction material composition containing no copper or having a reduced content of copper that can provide a friction material in which the stability of the friction coefficient after standing in a cold environment, the abrasion resistance, and the low rust fixation properties are excellent, and squeal (particularly low temperature squeal) is suppressed, and a friction material obtained by molding the friction material composition, and a friction member using the friction material. The friction material composition is specifically a friction material composition comprising a bonding material, an organic filler, an inorganic filler, and a fiber substrate, in which the friction material composition comprises no copper, or has a content of copper of less than 0.5% by mass in terms of a copper element even if comprising the copper, and comprises, as the organic filler, cashew particles to which a silicone resin adheres.
MATERIAL FOR BRAKE PADS, BRAKE PADS INCORPORATING THE SAME, AND METHODS OF MAKING SUCH MATERIAL AND BRAKE PADS
A brake pad, a mixture of materials for forming a brake pad, and a method for forming a brake pad.
COMPOSITE COMPONENT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A method of forming a composite component comprising: forming a mandrel by additive manufacturing, the mandrel defining a shape for the component; providing a composite material around the mandrel to form a body of the component; curing the component body to produce the component, the mandrel forming a part of the component.
