Transmission gear synchronizer blocker ring formed of a thermoplastic material
A transmission gear synchronizer includes a sliding sleeve a hub and a blocker ring. The sliding sleeve has an inner surface defining a sleeve spline. The hub is received within the sliding sleeve. The hub has a plurality of gear teeth extending radially outward from a root diameter of the hub. The plurality of gear teeth are configured to engage the sleeve spine. A notch is disposed proximate the root diameter of the hub and spaced apart from the plurality of gear teeth. The blocker ring comprises a thermoplastic material. The blocker ring comprises a thermoplastic material. The blocker ring has a plurality of molded clutch teeth extending radially outward from a root diameter of the blocker ring. The plurality of molded clutch teeth are configured to engage the sleeve spline in response to the sliding sleeve engaging the blocker ring during a transmission shift event.
Aluminum Component And Manufacturing Method For Same
An aluminum component and a method for manufacturing the aluminum component has a forming step and a cutting step. Projections (f) extend in an axial direction and are continuously arranged in a circumferential direction. End portions of the projections (f) are cut along a processing line having a predetermined processing diameter (D) providing splines (S) of predetermined dimensions. Side surfaces (fa) are inclined to be tapered in a direction from a base end to a projecting end. A portion of each side surface (fa) adjacent to the projecting end is an inclined surface (fb) with an inclination angle less than an inclination angle of a portion of the side surface that is adjacent to the base end.
Disc brake
A disc brake having at least one brake pad, a brake caliper, an actuation mechanism, and a brake pad support structure. The brake pad has a moveable pad retainer formation to permit assembly and retention of the brake pad in the brake pad support structure such that the brake pad is held for operation of the disc brake.
DISC BRAKE CALIPER
A disc brake caliper is basically provided with a single main body and an end cap. The single main body includes a hydraulic cylinder bore partially defining a hydraulic chamber having a cylinder axis and an end bore disposed along the cylinder axis. The end cap is coupled to the single main body in the end bore so as to close the hydraulic chamber. The end cap has an exterior surface that is free of a tool engagement structure.
HYBRID TORQUE TUBE
A hybrid torque tube for a brake assembly may comprise a tube portion having a centerline axis, and a conical back-leg portion extending from the tube portion. A stator spline may be formed on a radially outward surface of the tube portion. A foot may be formed on a radially inward surface of the tube portion. The tube portion is formed using a first manufacturing process and at least one of the conical back-leg, stator spline, or foot is formed using additive manufacturing.
DISK CLUTCH, DISK FOR SUCH A DISK CLUTCH, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A DISK CLUTCH OR DISK
The present invention relates to a disk clutch comprising a first disk set (32) which is connected rotationally fixed to a first disk carrier (18) and a second disk set (42) which is connected rotationally fixed to a second disk carrier (24), wherein the disks (34 through 40, 46 through 52) of the two disk sets (32, 42) may be brought into frictional engagement with one another via friction surfaces (54, 56), wherein recesses and/or grooves are provided in at least one or more friction surfaces (54, 56) of the disks (34 through 40; 46 through 52) of the first and/or second disk sets (32; 42). A first type of recesses and/or grooves (68) is thereby provided, which is generated bv a material sliaping and/or a material casting and/or a non-material removing first manufacturing method, and a second type of recesses and/or grooves (70) is provided, which is generated by a material removing second manufacturing method. In addition, the present invention relates to a disk (66) for such a disk clutch and a method for producing such a disk clutch (2) and such a disk (60).
Disc brake rotors with lattice structures
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for designing and manufacturing rotors for disc brake systems and apparatus include, in one aspect, a method including: placing a lattice structure in a ventilation space within a 3D model to create more internal surface area within a disc brake rotor between inner and outer rotor discs; adjusting a number of lattice unit cells for the lattice structure in different regions of the 3D model between the rotor discs to increase air turbulence in the ventilation space; adjusting one or more thicknesses of beams forming the lattice structure in different regions of the 3D model between the rotor discs to prevent structural failure under predefined loading conditions; and providing an updated version of the 3D model of the disc brake rotor that incorporates the lattice structure after adjustment of the number of lattice unit cells and the beam thickness(es).
Additively-manufactured brake pad assembly with controlled compressibility factor
A brake pad assembly having a consolidated lining comprised of an enhancement framework disposed within a tribological lining, the enhancement framework and tribological lining having substantially the same compressibility factor. The enhancement framework or tribological lining may advantageously be manufactured using an additive manufacturing technique.
BRAKE DISC
A brake disc, in which a hat part that is mounted on a hub and a disc part that provides friction surfaces with brake pads are made of different materials and are combined, includes: a plurality of bridges protruding and circumferentially arranged around an edge of the hat part for coupling to the disc part; a plurality of vanes defining a channel for air flow; and a plurality of coupling pillars, which are fixedly in contact with the bridges, respectively, arranged between a pair of disc plates. The coupling pillars are fixedly in contact with both sides of the bridges while exposing front ends of the bridges.
Disc brake, in particular for a commercial vehicle
A disc brake, in particular for a commercial vehicle, has functional components that can be reused after use and subsequent examination for operational safety. The disc brake is designed in such a way that at least each of the safety-relevant functional components is equipped with at least one indicator, the operation-related service life of which is less than the safety-relevant ranges of the functional components.
