SHOCK ABSORBER
A shock absorber includes a piston valve, a body valve installed at a lower side of a tube, a lower guide member installed between the piston valve and the body valve and including a lower through-hole through which the fluid passes, and a lower passing slit formed to allow the fluid to pass therethrough at a flow rate relatively lower than a flow rate at which the fluid passes through the lower through-hole, a mid-guide member having a mid-guide hole through which the fluid passes, the mid-guide member being disposed between the piston valve and the lower guide member and configured to close the lower through-hole when the mid-guide member is in contact with the lower guide member, a first elastic member interposed between the lower guide member and the mid-guide member, and a second elastic member interposed between the piston valve and the mid-guide member.
Power transmission system and gas turbine engine comprising the same
A power transmission system includes a shaft, a stator disposed within the shaft and substantially concentric with the shaft; and at least one supporting element positioned between the stator and the shaft and configured to support the shaft on the stator to reduce a vibration of the shaft and allow the shaft to rotate relative to the stator. A gas turbine engine including the power transmission system is also described.
DAMPER ASSEMBLY
A damper assembly includes a rod elongated along an axis. The damper assembly includes a body supported by the rod, the body having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The body and the rod define a passage between the body and the rod, the passage extending from the first surface of the body to the second surface of the body.
ENERGY DAMPENING SYSTEMS
Energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, an aerated gel member having a top surface and a bottom surface, and the top surface of the aerated gel member secured to the bottom surface of the gel member. In some embodiments, the energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may include a support structure secured to the gel member, and a cover extending over the top surface of the support structure and the bottom surface of the aerated gel member. The energy dampening and/or dispersing systems may be operable in ballistic garments, footwear, sporting goods, and vehicles.
SYSTEMS FOR DAMPING A SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ARRAY TRACKER
A solar tracker system includes a support tube, a solar panel assembly connected to the support tube, and an active lock connected to the support tube. The active lock includes a housing defining a chamber and a seal. The seal prevents a flow of fluid through the chamber when the active lock is in a sealed state and allows the flow of fluid through the chamber when the active lock is in an unsealed state. The active lock further includes a locking system motor connected to the seal to transition the active lock between the sealed state and the unsealed state, a battery providing power to the locking system motor, and an antenna for receiving instructions controlling the locking system motor.
Vibration damper having an adjustable damping force
A vibration damper with an adjustable damping force may comprise an inner cylinder having at least one working chamber, an outer cylinder that surrounds the inner cylinder, and at least one damping valve element that in terms of flow is connected via a flow connection to the working chamber. An adapter sleeve may guide the flow connection, with the adapter sleeve being inserted in the inner cylinder on an internal circumference of the inner cylinder. The flow connection may be guided into the damping valve element by way of a flow opening that is configured in a wall of the inner cylinder.
Vibration damper and motor vehicle
The invention relates to a vibration damper for a motor vehicle comprising an inner tube, an outer tube and at least one compensating chamber, which is formed between the inner tube and the outer tube and comprises at least one gas bag, which is arranged in the compensating chamber, wherein the compensating chamber is fluidically connected to at least one working area of the inner tube filled with a hydraulic fluid, wherein at least one guide element is provided, which deflects a flow of the hydraulic fluid during a rebound stage or a compression stage in such a way that the gas bag is indirectly subjected to flow. Furthermore, the invention relates to a motor vehicle.
Damper assembly
A damper assembly includes a pressure tube defining a chamber. The damper assembly includes a body supported by the pressure tube. The body has a first surface and a second surface opposite and spaced from the first surface along an axis. The body defines a passage extending from the first surface to the second surface. The damper assembly includes an orifice disc movable from an unflexed position to a first flexed position and movable from the first flexed position to a second flexed position. The orifice disc in the unflexed position is spaced from the first surface radially outward and radially inward of the passage. The orifice disc in the first flexed position is spaced from the first surface radially outward of the passage and abuts the first surface radially inward of the passage. The orifice disc in the second flexed position abuts the first surface radially outward and radially inward of the passage.
Hydraulically damping mount
A hydraulically damping mount for mounting a motor vehicle unit on a motor vehicle body includes a support and a support mount which are interconnected by a support spring made of an elastomeric material. In embodiments, a support spring limits a working chamber which is separated from a compensating chamber by a separating device, wherein the working chamber and the compensating chamber may be filled with a fluid and may be connected to one another via a damping channel included in the separating device, wherein the separating device may include two nozzle discs between which a first membrane and a second membrane are arranged, and wherein one of the membranes has at least one through-hole.
DAMPER WITH A SLANTED ELLIPTICAL SEAL BETWEEN AN INTERMEDIATE TUBE AND AN INNER PRESSURE TUBE
A damper including inner and outer tubes is provided. A piston is slidably disposed within the inner tube. An intermediate tube is positioned radially between the inner and outer tubes. The intermediate tube extends between first and second intermediate tube ends. An intermediate channel is disposed radially between the intermediate and inner tubes. A slanted elliptical seal is positioned inside the intermediate channel and divides the intermediate channel into first and second intermediate channel portions. A first control valve is in fluid communication with the second intermediate channel portion via a first intermediate tube opening. A second control valve is in fluid communication with the first intermediate channel portion via a second intermediate tube opening. The slanted elliptical seal abuts the intermediate tube between the first intermediate tube opening and the first intermediate tube end and between the second intermediate tube opening and the second intermediate tube end.
