COMPOSITE IMPACT RESISTANCE APPARATUS AND APPLICATIONS THEREOF
Disclosed are a compound impact-resistant device and an application thereof. The compound impact-resistant device includes an inner cylinder, a first pressure sensor and an outer cylinder; an inner cavity of the inner cylinder is connected to a magnetorheological damper, a spiral valve element, a floating piston and a spring from bottom to top; and the outer cylinder is connected to a piston rod, a bottom end of the piston rod penetrates a top of the inner cylinder, the spring and the floating piston to be connected to the spiral valve element, and a portion below the spiral valve element is filled with hydraulic oil. The compound impact-resistant device can provide specific initial support force and achieve active self-adaptation to dynamic impact, thus solving the problems that traditional hydraulic buffers cannot provide initial support force and traditional mechanical crushing members have difficulty in providing large support force.
Spring
This spring used for a suspension device for a vehicle is provided with: a metal wire material which constitutes a spring section and which has a cover layer provided on the surface thereof; and a seat section which is subjected to a load acting on the spring section, is formed from an elastically deformable material, has a groove section into which the wire material fits, and is bonded to the wire material by an adhesive. The minimum thickness of the portion of the adhesive, which protrudes from the groove section, is greater than or equal to the thickness of an adhesion layer formed in the groove section.
Shock absorbing member
A shock absorbing member is provided having a sequential destruction capability and protection against electrolytic corrosion on fastening-fixing portions thereof to be fastened to a bumper reinforcement or a vehicle body. Embodiments include a shock absorbing member between a bumper reinforcement and a vehicle body, including a distal end portion fastened to the bumper reinforcement; a base end flange portion fastened to the vehicle body; and an absorbing member body extending in a vehicle front-rear direction and connecting the distal end portion and the base end flange portion. The absorbing member body includes a carbon fiber-glass reinforced plastic layer. Fastening-fixing portions of the distal end portion and the base end flange portion are composed of glass fiber reinforced plastic layers.
Shock absorber with metal damper tube and composite mounting attachment and spring seat
A shock absorber having a metal damper tube and base assembly is provided. The base assembly, which includes a composite mounting attachment made of a composite material, such as a recyclable thermoplastic, is fixed to an external surface of the metal damper tube, which may be a finished product. A cavity in the composite mounting attachment houses at least a portion of the metal damper tube and thus defines an overlapping region where the composite mounting attachment and the metal damper tube are co-extensive with each other. One or more windows are provided in the overlapping region of the composite mounting attachment where the metal damper tube is left exposed. This helps to promote heat dissipation away from the metal damper tube while reducing weight and heat transmission from the metal damper tube to the composite mounting attachment to reduce overheating of the composite material.
Shock absorber and method of manufacturing the same
A shock absorber includes: a first passage through which a working fluid flows from a chamber inside a cylinder; a second passage which communicates with the chamber; a damping force generation mechanism which is provided in the first passage, a communication hole which is provided with at least a part of a passage of the second passage and is formed in a piston rod communicating with at least the chamber; a housing which has a passage of least a part of the second passage; a free piston which is movably provided inside the housing and defines the second passage into an upstream side and a downstream side of a flow of the working fluid when the piston moves in one direction, and an elastic body which is provided between the free piston and the housing. The free piston is formed of a resin material.
Energy dampeners for electronic devices
An electronic device can include a first electronic component, a second electronic component, and an energy dampener positioned between and in contact with the first electronic component and the second electronic component. The energy dampener in this example includes a carbon nanotube-aerogel matrix including carbon nanotubes embedded in an aerogel with a rubber composited therewith.
DRUM TACTILE FEEDBACK DEVICE STEERING UNIT AND METHOD
A tactile feedback device (TFD) drum brake has a drum rotor that creates at least two gaps and at least four shear surfaces. Magnetically responsive (MR) material is disposed within the gaps. The TFD drum brake further has an upper and lower magnetic seal to prevent the migration of the MR material from the gaps. The drum rotor is thin and rapidly saturates when a magnetic flux is generated. Controllable torque is created when the drum rotor is saturated. The controllable torque provides feedback to an operator of vehicle with the TFD drum brake installed.
Squeeze mode giant electrorheological fluid damper
A squeeze mode giant electrorheological fluid damper is disclosed. The squeeze mode giant electrorheological fluid damper comprises a support, a container and a connecting structure, wherein the support comprises a bottom plate, guide shafts and a top plate, the guide shaft is vertically fixed on the bottom plate, and the top plate is slidably arranged on the guide shaft; the container comprises a container body and two spiral spring pieces coaxially arranged in the container body, the container body is fixed on the bottom plate, the bottoms of the two spiral spring pieces are fixed to the bottom of the container, the two spiral spring pieces are not in contact with each other and are spaced by 180°; the top of the connecting structure is fixedly connected with the top plate, and the bottom of the connecting structure is fixedly connected with the tops of the two spiral spring pieces.
Bumper cap for damper
A bumper cap for a damper, the damper including an outer tube with a tube end. A rod extending through the tube end. The damper including a damping fluid, such as a hydraulic oil, that is movable within the damper in response to movement of the rod to provide a damping effect. The bumper cap has a cup shaped body having a side wall and a base, the side wall having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface having a dimension that is sized to be press fit over the outer tube. The base of the bumper cap has a through hole in the base, the through hole configured to have the rod pass therethrough. The base has at least one fluid passage extending away from the through hole that is in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir in the side wall.
