The second securing element is couplable to the first securing element. The liner includes a fire resistant material and/or a fire retardant material and is disposed within the cavity along at least one of an interior surface of the backing and an interior surface of the pouch.

Adapter assembly for an exercise rope

An adapter assembly for releasably connecting an accessory connector to an exercise rope is provided. The assembly comprises a connection part being formed by a first portion and a second portion, each having a bottom end and top end, wherein the first and the second portion of the connection part forms, at its bottom end, a cavity configured to receive an end portion of said rope, and wherein the top end of the connection part is configured to releasably connect the accessory connector.

Inspectable Synthetic Tensile Member Assembly
20230047902 · 2023-02-16 ·

A protected synthetic tensile member assembly including one or more fixed terminations used to transmit a tensile load from the tensile member to an external component. The tensile member includes access for inspection of its constituent fibers in at least one selected inspection region. The region is selected on the basis of the area of interest to the tensile member's use—such as the area of greatest stress concentration or the area of greatest abrasion. A removable cover is provided for the inspection region. A user may selectively remove this cover in order to gain access to the inspection region.

BREAK-AWAY COUPLER FOR AERIAL CABLE CLAMP AND INTEGRATED CABLE CUTTER
20220329057 · 2022-10-13 ·

A breakaway coupler includes a main body and a secondary body, removably attached to the main body. First and second attachment features are formed on the main and secondary bodies to permit attachment to first and second structures. A breakaway member connects the main and secondary bodies. A guide channel passes through an overlapped portion of the main and secondary bodies and accepts a cable therein. A blade passes across the guide channel to sever the cable when the secondary body is detached from the main body. In operation, a cable clamp frictionally holds the cable. The cable clamp is connected to the breakaway coupler, which is in turn connected to a fixed structure, e.g., a pole. When an excess force is applied to the cable, the main and secondary bodies of the breakaway coupler separate and the blade cuts the cable in the guide channel.

Power swage tool
11623265 · 2023-04-11 · ·

A swage tool includes a power unit connected to a yoke. The power unit exerts vertical force on a die block. The yoke holds swage dies in place and opposes the force exerted by the die block. The die block transfers the load exerted by the power unit into the swage dies, which surround the connector. The swage dies convert vertical force from the power unit into a radial swage on the connector. Quick release endplates hold the swage dies in place in the yoke and the die block. A yoke shroud keeps broken pieces of the yoke together if the yoke fails. A counter records the number of swages made by the tool. A rotating handle, a stand, remote wireless actuation and swage die identification imprints are also provided.

Cable puller for portable mast
09850980 · 2017-12-26 ·

A system and method for pulling a cable. The system includes a cable which has at least one button located along its length. A cable puller is coupled to the cable and has at least one slot for receiving the cable. The cable puller also has a plate for engaging the button. The cable puller has a sleeve with an upstream end and a downstream end, and the plate is located on the upstream end. The plate prevents movement of the button upstream of the plate.

Method and Apparatus for Producing a Synthetic Tensile Member with a Precise Length and Enhanced Stability
20170356133 · 2017-12-14 ·

A method for producing a synthetic tensile member having a precisely known and stable length. The invention, also comprises equipment configured to carry out the method. A tensile member is prepared by attaching terminations to an assembly of synthetic filaments. The tensile member is then attached to a loading apparatus that subjects the tensile member to a pre-defined loading process. The tensile member is thereby conditioned to a stable length. The length is then measured and a length adjusting component is incorporated into the tensile member to create a precise and stabilized length that is configured for the tensile member's particular application.

Advanced methods and designs for balancing a stranded termination assembly
09835228 · 2017-12-05 · ·

Devices and methods for loading a cable in order to create a desired distribution of the load among the cable's constituent strands. Strand terminations are applied to many—and possibly all of—the cable's strands. The ultimate goal is to connect the strand terminations to a collector in order to create an overall cable termination. The relationship between each strand termination and the collector is allowed to “float” using the inventive process while the cable is tensioned and an appropriate spatial relationship between each strand tensioner and the collector is determined. One the appropriate relationship is found, it is configured to be repeatable (such as by locking the strand termination in place or by recording its position for later application to the same or similar collector).
