DEVICE FOR LOCKING AN OBJECT SUSPENDED ON A CABLE
A device for locking an object suspended from a cable passing through a clamp and extending along a substantially vertical axis, the clamp includes a fixed part, at least two moving jaws, a first actuator and a second actuator, the two jaws coming into contact with the cable to immobilize the cable by clamping in a closed position and moving away from the cable in an open position, the fixed part having as many inclined surfaces as there are jaws, each of the jaws being configured to slide along one of the inclined surfaces so as to pass from the open position to the closed position, the first actuator being configured to move the jaws upward, make them slide along their respective inclined surface and allow the clamp to close, the second actuator being configured to pull downward on the cable with respect to the fixed part and allow the clamp to open.
Wicking termination system
A termination system which improves the consistency and repeatability of the wicking of the liquid potting compound in the transition area between the potted and the imported filaments. The termination system controllably compresses the filaments within the transition area to produce repeatable wicking. The potting compound selected and the degree of compression employed combine to produce a desired wicking effect.
Clamping device and sensor cable
A clamping device (1), for coupling a sensor cable (2) to an electrical contact, has a circumferential, elastically deformable frame (3). The frame has an outer surface (5), an inner surface (6) facing an inner area (4), a first end face (7) and an opposite second end face (8). A contact device (9) is held at the frame and extends into the inner area. A counter-holding device (10), at the frame, has a counter-holding element (11). The contact device and the counter-holding device form a receiving space for holding the electrical contact in a holding position. A relative movement into a first released position is brought about by a pressing on both sides from the outside against the outer surface on a first frame axis (12). A second released position is provided by pressing on both sides against the frame outer surface on a second frame axis (13).
INTEGRATED SOFT SHACKLE WITH NOTCHED BUTTON
A button is provided, for use in a soft shackle in a rope. The button is made of a material equal to or exceeding the strength of the rope. The button has a notch and an oval. The notch and oval form a bar. The bar is dimensioned in size to not deform when the button is under a load equal to the strength of the rope.
BINDING SYSTEM WITH LOCKING WORK PIECE
A binding system is provided for attaching a first object to a second object and/or for bundling a plurality of objects. The binding system includes a locking work piece having a first channel and a second channel, the first channel having a channel opening on a first side of the locking work piece, the second channel having a channel opening at an opposite side of the locking work piece. An elastomeric cord has a first end and a second end, and a first cross-sectional dimension when in an unstretched condition, wherein the first channel has a width that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord, wherein the elastomer cord may be guided around the second object so that the second end can be connected to the locking work piece by stretching the elastomer cord to reduce the cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord to a size smaller than the width of the first channel, inserted into the first channel, and unstretched so that the elastomer cord is retained within the first channel, and wherein the second channel has a width that is less than the first cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord, wherein the second end of the elastomer cord that is retained within the first channel can be further stretched to reduce the cross-sectional dimension of the elastomer cord to a size smaller than the width of the second channel, inserted into the second channel, and unstretched so that the elastomer cord is retained within the second channel.
Ligature attachment device
A ligature attachment device for use with a ligature is disclosed, the ligature attachment device comprising a proximal section comprising a loop retainer section, a distal section comprising a tool section, a central section comprising a central ligature spool section having a centrally located cinch aperture and the central ligature spool section is coupled to the loop retainer section and the tool section. The loop retainer section having a loop retainer profile configured to retain a loop of the ligature frictionally engaged with the central ligature spool section. The cinch aperture having an aperture shape configured to allow at least two sections of a ligature to be removably retained in the cinch aperture whereby the cinch aperture can removably retain the loop of the ligature. The tool section comprises a first tool for removably joining a second tool.
Method of terminating a stranded synthetic filament cable
An apparatus and method for terminating a multi-stranded, non-parallel cable. An anchor is provided on the end of each strand. A collector is provided to link the anchors and connected strands into a single unit. An alignment fixture is provided to transition the strands from the non-parallel lay within the cable to a parallel path adjacent to the anchors.
Lanyard assembly for wire-pulling or wire-anchoring purposes
A wire-anchoring system for use with a core about which a wire is desired to be wound utilizes a lanyard assembly which includes a cord portion and a connector body connected to the cord portion. The elongated connector body has two opposite ends and a hollow interior including an opening which opens out of the body at one end thereof and into which the terminal end of the wire can be inserted for purposes of anchoring the wire to the connector body. In addition, the cord portion of the wire has a free end which is securable to the outer surface of the core adjacent the securement location thereon so that by securing the free end of the cord portion to the outer surface of the core and anchoring the terminal end of the wire to the connector body, the wire is anchored to the core for an operation involving the winding of the wire about the core.
A Rope Extension System Comprising A Rope Connector For Connecting Prepared Ends of Two Rope Segments, And A Hoisting System Comprising Such Rope Extension System
A rope connector connects prepared ends of two rope segments, wherein said prepared ends each include a rope eye. The rope connector includes at least two complementary parts, each being configured with a shaped recess for receiving at least part of said prepared end of a respective rope segment. The complementary parts are detachably mountable to each other to establish a firm connection there between. A rope extension system is disclosed to include such rope connector, and a hoisting system employs such rope extension system.
