Steering system

A steering system includes a rod member, a housing, and a clamping member. The housing has a clamping slit and includes a first clamp-receiving portion and a second clamp-receiving portion that project so as to sandwich the clamping slit therebetween. The clamping member includes a fixed cam, a clamping shaft, a rotary cam, and a clamping lever. The fixed cam is fitted in the first clamp-receiving portion from an outer side of the first clamp-receiving portion. The fixed cam has a third through hole extending through the fixed cam coaxially with a first axis. The third through hole has a small diameter portion at a first portion close to the rotary cam and a large diameter portion having a diameter larger than a diameter of the small diameter portion at a second portion away from the rotary cam.

Cable gripper jaws and cable gripper jaw members having at least one removable, cable gripping surface insert. The gripper jaw member has a recess for receiving the insert and the insert can engage with the gripper member by means of a fixative and/or a mechanical engaging means, including mechanical interlocking means. The insert and gripper member can be of different materials, including metals of differing hardness ratings. The cable gripper jaws have utility in the cable gripping fields, including in the drilling and horizontal directional drilling industries, and as part of a method for pulling cable through space, including pulling cable through space in the pipe bursting and trenchless pipe replacement industries.

Cable securing device

A cable securing device facilitates secure connection to a cabling end, and employs a retaining cap, a barrel and a cable receiving component. Embodiments of the cable receiving component include a retaining jaw, a spacer gland and a fastening ring maintained within an interior cavity of the barrel. In various embodiments, the cable receiving component is retained in a substantially axially static position within the barrel upon insertion of a cable.

CLAMPING DEVICE AND SENSOR CABLE

A clamping device (1), for coupling a sensor cable (2) to an electrical contact, has a circumferential, elastically deformable frame (3). The frame has an outer surface (5), an inner surface (6) facing an inner area (4), a first end face (7) and an opposite second end face (8). A contact device (9) is held at the frame and extends into the inner area. A counter-holding device (10), at the frame, has a counter-holding element (11). The contact device and the counter-holding device form a receiving space for holding the electrical contact in a holding position. A relative movement into a first released position is brought about by a pressing on both sides from the outside against the outer surface on a first frame axis (12). A second released position is provided by pressing on both sides against the frame outer surface on a second frame axis (13).

A sheathing repair assembly for a tension member of a post-tensioning tendon, the tension member including a strand and a sheathing layer is disclosed. The sheathing repair assembly includes a repair tube having first and second end portions and a first sealing assembly. The first sealing assembly includes a first nut having a first frustoconical surface and a first forcing element adapted to cooperate with the first frustoconical surface so as to compress the first end portion of the repair tube. The sheathing repair assembly also includes a second sealing assembly having a second nut having a second frustoconical surface and a second forcing element adapted to cooperate with the second frustoconical surface so as to compress the second end portion of the repair tube.

HYDRAULIC UNIT

A hydraulic unit has a hydraulic component, a hydraulic line connected to a hydraulic connection of the hydraulic component, and a hose and fitting connected to the hydraulic connection. A tear-out preventer having a cable loop secured by a cable clamp acts on the hose. The cable clamp comprises a clamping block, which has two crossing passages and a rivet. A first passage, through which the cable is guided, has, in the region of the crossing with the second passage, a width corresponding to at least double the thickness of the cable plus the diameter of the non-deformed rivet. The second passage is configured in a stepped manner with a narrow primary portion arranged on one side of the first passage and a wide secondary portion arranged on the other side. The rivet braces the two strands of the cable against the inner wall of the first passage.

A cable retention and release mechanism includes a cable gripping device including a cable passage. A cable extends through the cable passage. A cable gripping device collar is movably coupled around the cable gripping device. An outer cable gripping device surface is seated against a cable gripping device receiving inner surface preventing movement of the cable gripping device relative to the cable gripping device collar. The cable gripping device receiving inner surface clamps the cable gripping device on the cable and prevents sliding movement of the cable. A jack is movably coupled with the cable gripping device collar. In a first engaged position the jack is engaged against the cable gripping device proximal end. In a second engaged position the jack unseats the outer cable gripping device surface from the cable gripping device receiving inner surface and releases the clamping of the cable.
