MULTI-PART CHAIN LINK OF AN ENERGY CHAIN, AND TRANSVERSE CONNECTING PIECE AND SIDE PLATE THEREFOR
The design of chain links for energy chains for movably carrying cables, hoses and the like. The chain link consists of a plurality of individual parts, namely two side plates made of plastic, comprising an interior side facing the interior of the chain link, an exterior side facing away therefrom and two narrow sides running substantially parallel to the longitudinal direction, and at least one, more particularly two transverse connecting pieces for detachably connecting the side plates, comprising a center part and a fastening portion at each end of the transverse connecting piece on both sides. The side plates have, on at least one narrow side, a corresponding fastening region for frictionally fastening a transverse connecting piece, namely a clamping receptacle which has two clamping surfaces, which are opposite one another in the longitudinal direction and between which a complementarily shaped fastening portion of the at least one separate transverse connecting piece is clamped. Each transverse connecting piece has two support protrusions on each fastening portion, each support protrusion having a support surface for resting against the interior side of the side plate in order to achieve a robust connection. Providing the side plate, in the central region between the fastening regions, with a special functional cut-out in the plate body, which cut-out facilitates additional functions or application expansions.
CREATING A CURLING EFFECT
A curling effect is provided via system, which may be included in an article, via a plurality of links, including distal, proximal, and intermediary links, that each comprise: a base; first and second wings, connected to opposite sides of the base that each first and second through-holes aligned at a first height; and a header, connected between the wings that defines a third through-hole at the first height and a fourth through-hole at a second height different from the first height that is configured at accept a stringer there-through so that a force applied on the stringer in a direction from the distal link towards the proximal link causes rotation of neighboring links relative to one another joined via a linking axel disposed on a shared axis through the first, second, and third through-holes of the neighboring links.
CREATING A CURLING EFFECT
A curling effect is provided via system, which may be included in an article, via a plurality of links, including distal, proximal, and intermediary links, that each comprise: a base; first and second wings, connected to opposite sides of the base that each first and second through-holes aligned at a first height; and a header, connected between the wings that defines a third through-hole at the first height and a fourth through-hole at a second height different from the first height that is configured at accept a stringer there-through so that a force applied on the stringer in a direction from the distal link towards the proximal link causes rotation of neighboring links relative to one another joined via a linking axel disposed on a shared axis through the first, second, and third through-holes of the neighboring links.
Chain assembly coating
The system may be a process and a device that allows for safety in swinging on a swing at a park, playground or swing set. The process may include fixing a chain, hook/connector and an anchor into a single chain assembly. The chain assembly may be dipped or submerged in a polymer coating and allowed to dry, forming a continuous coating over the chain assembly. The chain assembly may be secured to a swing seat using brackets to engage the anchor portion of the chain assembly. The polymer coating may partially or entirely coat the chain assembly while still allowing manipulation and deformation of the chain assembly. The polymer coating may provide easier gripping and safer swinging.

CVT PLATE LINK CHAIN HAVING CLEAN CONTACT BETWEEN PRESSURE PIECE AND PLATE
A plate link chain for a motor vehicle drive having a continuously variable transmission includes a pressure piece with a first bearing face and a second bearing face, and a plate with a third bearing face and a fourth bearing face. The first bearing face and the third bearing face bear against one another to form a force transmitting outer contact region relative to a rotation direction of the plate link chain, and the outer contact region forms an outer contact face that is linear or flat and encloses an angle α that is ≥160° and ≤180°. The second bearing face and the fourth bearing face bear against one another to form a force transmitting inner contact region relative to the rotation direction, and the inner contact region forms an inner contact face enclosing an angle that is ≥90° and ≤135°.
CVT PLATE LINK CHAIN HAVING CLEAN CONTACT BETWEEN PRESSURE PIECE AND PLATE
A plate link chain for a motor vehicle drive having a continuously variable transmission includes a pressure piece with a first bearing face and a second bearing face, and a plate with a third bearing face and a fourth bearing face. The first bearing face and the third bearing face bear against one another to form a force transmitting outer contact region relative to a rotation direction of the plate link chain, and the outer contact region forms an outer contact face that is linear or flat and encloses an angle α that is ≥160° and ≤180°. The second bearing face and the fourth bearing face bear against one another to form a force transmitting inner contact region relative to the rotation direction, and the inner contact region forms an inner contact face enclosing an angle that is ≥90° and ≤135°.
CHAIN UNIT SEALED AND LUBRICATED WITH MAGNETIC FLUID AND CHAIN HAVING SAME
A chain unit lubricated and sealed with magnetic fluid includes a pin shaft, a magnetic sleeve, a first pole piece and a second pole piece. The sleeve is fitted over an outer periphery of the pin shaft. Both ends of the pin shaft protrude from the sleeve. A first gap exists between an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve and an outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft. The first pole piece is arranged at one of the sleeve and has a first mating hole. A second gap exists between an inner wall surface of the first mating hole and the outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft. The second pole piece is arranged at the other end of the sleeve and has a second mating hole. A third gap exists between an inner wall surface of the second mating hole and the outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft.
CHAIN UNIT SEALED AND LUBRICATED WITH MAGNETIC FLUID AND CHAIN HAVING SAME
A chain unit lubricated and sealed with magnetic fluid includes a pin shaft, a magnetic sleeve, a first pole piece and a second pole piece. The sleeve is fitted over an outer periphery of the pin shaft. Both ends of the pin shaft protrude from the sleeve. A first gap exists between an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve and an outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft. Endless shaped article
The invention relates to an endless shaped article comprising at least one strip of material forming a plurality of convolutions of the strip of material, the strip having a longitudinal axis, wherein each convolution of said strip comprises a twist along the longitudinal axis of said strip, wherein said twist is an odd multiple of 180 degrees. The invention also relates to a method to manufacture said article, and its use as sling, loop, belt or chain link.
