Vehicle transmission and method of operation
A vehicle transmission using a gearset. Multi-mode clutches selectively couple components of the gearset. The transmission operates in and shifts between a first forward gear and a second forward gear using a change in input rotation. An electric motor coupled to the input may be used to change the input rotation direction.
System for conversion of wave energy into electrical energy
The present invention relates to the utilization of wave energy and its conversion into operating motion of an electrical energy generating system. The system for generation of electrical energy through the conversion of aquatic wave motion includes floating bodies and a constant rotation mechanism, which converts the two-way linear motion of an inflexible transmission shaft or a flexible transmission shafts into one-way rotation of an output shaft of the constant rotation mechanism. This mechanism allows utilization of wave energy in two directions caused by the rise and fall of waves. The output shaft of the constant rotation mechanism is coupled to a force multiplier that is further coupled to a generator which generates electrical energy. Constant rotation mechanism can be driven by inflexible transmission shaft pivotally coupled to the floating bodies at one end, and the other end to an input gear of the constant rotation mechanism. Depending on the height of the wave and the wavelength, various constructions of floating bodies are used. Certain floating bodies are designed for the waves of a smaller amplitude and smaller wavelength, while other floating bodies are designed for bigger amplitude and bigger wavelength.

The reduction gear includes a pair of gears installed in parallel between two shafts and each provided with a mobile wheel free to move axially to engage in turn with one of the shafts and to transmit movement with different ratios. Since the gear teeth are helical, opposite forces on the reduction gear make it changeover from one reduction ratio to the other. No external control is necessary. Application to mechanical transmissions between an engine and a reversible electrical machine (starter or generator), that starts the motor with a large speed reduction and generates electricity with a smaller reduction.

The present invention discloses a power transmission apparatus. The power transmission apparatus includes: an input shaft including a male screw portion formed thereon; a pair of input gears formed on the input shaft to be freely rotatable with the male screw portion being interposed therebetween; an output gear formed to be rotatable in a state of being linked with the pair of input gears; and a power interrupting unit screw-coupled to the male screw portion of the input shaft, and configured to rectilinearly reciprocate along the input shaft by a rotation of the input shaft to be selectively engaged with any one of the pair of input gears so as to transmit a power.

The present invention relates to a transmission for a motor, and more particularly, to a transmission for a motor, which optimizes a transmission for outputting a rotational force only in one direction at different shifting ratios according to forward/reverse rotation directions of a rotational shaft of the motor while enabling a reverse input, accurately transmits the rotational force without slippage and has durability even upon use thereof for a long period of time. Accordingly, the transmission improves reliability and shifting accuracy and maximizes marketability and market competitiveness.
Input synthesis apparatus
An input synthesis apparatus according to the present invention includes: a first input unit which provides first rotational force; a second input unit which provides second rotational force equal to or different from the first rotational force; a gear unit which is engaged with the first input unit and the second input unit and synthesizes the first rotational force and the second rotational force; and an output unit which outputs resultant force of the first rotational force and the second rotational force, in which the gear unit sums up speeds or torque of the first rotational force and the second rotational force based on whether a rotation direction of the first input unit and a rotation direction of the second input unit are identical to each other.
DEVICE FOR CONVERTING RECIPROCATING RECTILINEAR MOTION INTO ONE-WAY CIRCULAR MOTION AND TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE USING DEVICE
A device for converting reciprocating rectilinear motion into unidirectional circular motion is provided, which is capable of converting a man-powered rectilinear motion into a unidirectional circular motion by a combination of a rack and a gear, or a combination of a chain and a chain wheel, or a combination of a belt and a belt wheel, and under the conversion of a plurality of gear sets and unidirectional bearings. Each of the gear sets comprises a large gear, a medium gear and a small gear, thus transformation of output torque and a rotating speed can be achieved by transverse sliding meshing of the gear sets, and this speed regulation is quite convenient. In addition, the gear sets in a main body are randomly arranged according to actual needs, such as rectilinear arrangement, triangular arrangement and the like. In addition, a transportation vehicle using the device is also provided.
Input synthesis gear system
A gear system for combining inputs is provided. The gear system can includes: a first power source that generates a rotational force; a second power source that generates a rotational force identical to or different from the rotational force of the first power source; a third power source that generates a rotational force identical or different from the rotational forces of the first power source and the second power source; and a gear unit that generates a resultant output by combining the rotational forces from the first power source to the third power source, in which the gear unit generates a resultant output by combining torque of any two of the first power source to the third power source and combining a speed of the other power source. According to this configuration, it is possible to generate various outputs from various power sources having the same or different characteristics.
