Provided is a new technique capable of determining whether or not a hook of a safety harness is used correctly, without causing complexity in the configurations of the hook and a safety rope. Specifically, provided is a system for confirming a hooking state of a safety harness, wherein a safety harness 10 comprises: a belt 11 to be worn on a body of a worker; a safety rope 12 connected to the belt 11; a hook 13 attached to a distal end of the safety rope 12; and a hook holder 14 for allowing the hook 13 to be attached to the belt 11 therethrough. The system is operable to detect whether or not the hook 13 is attached to the hook holder 14, and issue a warning when it is detected that the hook 13 is attached to the hook holder 14.

Fall-protection system with monitoring system

A fall-protection system including a harness and a fall-protection apparatus with a lifeline bearing a connector configured to be connected to the harness; and, a fall-protection monitoring system with a base unit and with at least one sensor module configured to sense a condition of the connector and to communicate a signal indicative of the condition of the connector to the base unit.

Articulated harness connection arrangement with integrated attachment element

A connection arrangement for use with a wearable body harness includes a first connector having a first body component, a second body component, and an attachment element connected to each other by a rod having a longitudinal axis. The connection arrangement further includes a second connector removably connectable to the first connector. Each of the first body component, the second body component, and the attachment element are independently movable relative to each other about the longitudinal axis of the rod. The first connector and the second connector are removably connectable to each other via a locking and release mechanism between a first, locked configuration, where the first connector and the second connector are connected to each other, and a second, unlocked configuration, where the first connector and the second connector are disconnected from each other.

A ratcheting strap adjuster comprising a bracket, a webbing plate, and one or more captive members. The webbing plate is rotatably coupled to the bracket. Each of the one or more captive members is moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the one or more captive members restrict rotation of the webbing plate in one direction when the one or more captive members are in the engaged position and allow rotation of the webbing plate in the one direction and in an opposite second direction when the one or more captive members are in the disengaged position.

Systems and methods for a harness attachment hook

Described embodiments provide systems and methods for an attachment mechanism for attaching a strap around a body extremity. The attachment mechanism includes a hook, a first channel, and a second channel. The hook includes a first longitudinal axis and coupled to the strap at a first region of the hook. The first channel allowing the attachment mechanism to receive the strap. The second channel extending from the first channel and having an opening allowing the attachment mechanism to secure the strap, the opening extending along a second longitudinal axis, the second longitudinal axis forming an angle of less than ninety degrees with the first longitudinal axis. The strap is coupled to a harness. The strap includes a first portion, an attachment portion attached to the first portion, a main portion attached to the attachment portion; and an elastic portion attached to the main portion.

Safety harness motion detector systems and methods for use

In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for verifying safety compliance of a worker positioned on a building structure utilize a motion detector module (MDM) for attaching to a wearable safety harness, where the harness has a lifeline attachment feature for connecting the safety harness to a lifeline anchored to the building structure. The MDM may include a motion sensor for detecting movement of the worker and processing circuitry for detecting, from signals provided by the motion sensor, significant movement indicative of the safety harness being properly worn by the worker and/or proper attachment of the safety harness to a lifeline, and translating the significant movements into compliance information. The MDM may include a proximate sensor for detecting contact between the attachment feature on the harness and a fastener on the lifeline for verifying the compliance information.
