A torque limiter includes: a first rotary member configured to be rotated by a drive source; at least one first friction member engaged with the first rotary member; at least one second friction member arranged so as to overlap the first friction member, and configured to rotate with rotation of the first rotary member by using frictional force generated between the second friction member and the first friction member; and a second rotary member engaged with the second friction member. It is preferable that the first rotary member and the second rotary member be pivotally supported by an identical rotary shaft, and that, while either the first rotary member and the second rotary member is fixed to the rotary shaft, the other one be supported so as to be rotatable about the rotary shaft.

ADJUSTMENT SCREW

An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system. A height of a hembar may be adjusted by rotating a rod within the hembar.

Strain wave gearbox with over-torque protection

A strain wave gearbox configured to provide over-torque protection. The strain wave gearbox is designed to include a clutch that is at least partially housed within or positioned inside the internal space (herein labeled a chamber or void space interchangeably with internal space) of a flex spline. In some cases, the internal space is utilized to generate the preload for the clutch, and it may be used to provide room for a clutch preload subassembly. The clutch is located outside the flex spline's internal space and is formed to use geometric friction surfaces in the form of mating rings of teeth on mating surfaces or sides of the first and second clutch plates that once preloaded by the clutch preload subassembly require a greater torque than the design torque to rotate to the next tooth.

Robot arm drive module

A drive module for rotating a first robot arm member relative to a second robot arm member comprising a motor, a gear head driven by the motor, a pinion driven by the gear head and a slip clutch including an input section with integral gear teeth driven by the pinon, and an output section configured to be coupled to the second robot arm member. A housing is disposed at least about the pinion and slip clutch and configured to be coupled to the first robot arm member.

Robot arm drive module

A drive module for rotating a first robot arm member relative to a second robot arm member comprising a motor, a gear head driven by the motor, a pinion driven by the gear head and a slip clutch including an input section with integral gear teeth driven by the pinon, and an output section configured to be coupled to the second robot arm member. A housing is disposed at least about the pinion and slip clutch and configured to be coupled to the first robot arm member.

Coupling system for reducing fatigue and dynamic amplification of loads in objects

A coupling system can include an energy transfer device and a load mitigation system. The energy transfer device can include a shaft, gear, chain or piston-cylinder arrangement to transfer the energy from a power supply to an object to be moved. The load mitigation system can be used to limit or prevent the transfer of forces from the object to the drive unit as a result of external loads being applied to the object. The load mitigation system can be pre-loaded such that external loads on the object having an excessive impulsive or resonant cyclic force greater than the pre-load force on the load mitigation system are reduced and only partially transferred to the energy transfer device and power supply. The load mitigation system can dampen both resonant loads and impulsive impact loads occurring at the object thereby preventing damage and extending life.
