CEILING FIXTURE FIRESTOP
A system for use with a ceiling fixture, a portion of which projects though an opening in a ceiling wall, for assisting in preventing spread of fire through the opening. The system has a metal collar for lining the opening. The metal collar has an upper rim overlying a top surface of the ceiling wall at the opening, a middle section facing an inner edge of the ceiling wall at the opening and a lower rim underlying a bottom surface of the ceiling wall at the opening. The system also has an intumescent ring for surrounding the projecting portion of the fixture so as to be interposed between the metal collar and the projecting portion of the fixture.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AN INDICATOR SYSTEM IN FIRESTOP PROTECTION SYSTEMS
A system includes a lead-sleeve coupled to a platform. The platform attaches to a sheet metal having alternating peaks and valleys, and the platform includes a block-out component that conforms to a valley of the sheet metal. The system also includes an indicator system coupled to a cap of the lead-sleeve, where the indicator system protrudes through the concrete after the concrete is poured and solidified around the lead-sleeve.
Assembly comprising a plurality of fire protection profiles and method for producing a fire protection profile
An assembly includes at least two fire protection profiles which have a hose that is made of a composite material and is filled with a fire protection material. The composite material has an inorganic fiber material which is connected to a film, and the fire protection profiles are designed such that said profiles bake together in the event of a fire. Furthermore, a method for producing a fire protection profile is provided.
FIRE-PROTECTION COLLAR
The present invention relates to a fire-protection-collar element (10) for forming a fire-protection collar (35) for closing through-passages in walls (38), ceilings and/or floors in the event of a fire. The present invention also relates to a method for forming a fire-protection collar (35) for closing through-passages in walls (38), ceilings and/or floors in the event of a fire.
Intumescent fire sleeve, coil of several intumescent fire sleeves and method for installation of an intumescent fire sleeve
The disclosure relates to an intumescent fire sleeve for a conduit, such as a pipe, a cable or a device penetrating a wall, a ceiling or a floor in a building, said fire sleeve comprising at least one layer of intumescent material and one carrier being connected to the layer of intumescent material, and said fire sleeve having a length (L) that at least corresponds to a circumference of the conduit for which it is intended, with the characteristics that at least the carrier has spring-loaded characteristics and that the carrier, in a non-applied position has the ability to coil onto itself in a spiral manner. The disclosure also relates to a coil of such intumescent fire sleeves and to a method for installation of such an intumescent fire sleeve.
Vent structure
A vent apparatus that prevents the ingress of flames, superheated air, and/or flaming materials (e.g., embers) from an external fire to a building or structure is disclosed. The vent apparatus comprises a frame that defines an inlet, and outlet, and an internal passage. A guiding member is disposed within the internal passage to thereby deflect or direct a portion of a flow of material between the inlet and outlet. A blocking element is disposed on the guiding member that is configured to expand to at least partially block the flow of material between the inlet and outlet.
Fire stop and method of making the same
A fire stop device having a body having a through bore and the body being sized and shaped to be positioned within an opening in a wall. the body is made from a moldable a thermoplastic resin having a blowing agent suspended therein. The blowing agent has a predetermined gas release temperature and the thermoplastic resin has a melting temperature above the predetermined gas release temperature of the blowing agent; wherein when exposed to a fire the blowing agent first begins to release gas and the resin softens as the resin is heated until the resin is soft enough for the released gas to expand the plastic to form a foam to close said through bore before a char is formed on said expanded body by said fire. A method of forming a fitting having the blowing agent suspended therein is also provided.
Extendable sleeve for poured concrete deck
An improved cap and assembly is provided for a poured concrete deck. The improved assembly has a diaphragm seal over-molded to a top plate having a depending sidewall that is snap-fit to a base containing a fire ring. A tubular sleeve is connected to the over-molded top plate by snap fit connections to the sidewall and by threaded fasteners passing through sockets in the sleeve, sidewall and base. The over-molded diaphragm has a funnel shape. A first sleeve cap has depending positioning tabs that may be broken off to adjust the cap height relative to the sleeve, with an inwardly extending latching surface engaging the sleeve when the tabs are removed. A second cap has inwardly extending tabs that fit into channels on the sleeve fit between ridges on the sleeve when rotated to adjustably position the second cap on the sleeve.
DEVICE FOR ROUTING LINES, PIPES, AND/OR CABLES THROUGH A BUILDING STRUCTURE PART
A device for routing lines, pipes, and/or cables through a building part, contains a housing having a housing wall. The housing has an axial passage channel that is delimited by the housing wall and extends in the longitudinal direction, and has in each case an opening at opposite ends. At least two sealing arrangements are each provided in the housing interior, are designed for sealing the passage channel, and form a sealing surface. A first sealing surface has a plurality of sealing elements which are elongated, extend in a first main direction, and are adjacent to one another. A second sealing surface has a plurality of sealing elements that are elongated, extend in a second main direction, and are adjacent to one another. The first main direction and the second main direction differ from one another with respect to a transverse plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
Self-obstructing flammable fluid carrying conduit
The present invention is directed to improved assembly for transporting flammable fluids. In an example, the assembly comprises a conduit, a liner, and a core. The liner comprises a material that contracts in response to an elevation in temperature. In an example, the liner comprises a material that expands in response to an elevation in temperature.
