The closure may also include a core within a first portion of the internal cavity of the section. The core may be configured to expand from a relaxed state to an expanded state and provide a seal between the door and an edge of the opening when the core is in the expanded state.

Fireproofing strip

Fireproofing device (1), in particular a fireproofing strip (1), with an elongate support (2), which is produced from a foam material, a non-woven fabric and/or a fibrous body and is provided with an impregnating agent. According to the invention this impregnating agent contains as components at least one liquid medium and a binder for binding solid components of the impregnating agent to the foam material and expandable graphite.

Modular power system and method of mitigating failure propagation between a plurality of modules in a modular power system

A modular power system includes a plurality of electronic modules, the plurality of modules is arranged in a manner that each of the modules is detachable from the others, and adjacent modules are in fluid communication with each other through a passage, and at least one thermally activated element is disposed within each said passage. In normal operation, the thermally activated element is in an unexpanded state, and fluid communication between the plurality of modules is allowable through a space between the thermally activated element and the passage, and in a failure event when at least one of the modules fails, the thermally activated element is activated and expanded to block the passage between the failed module and the other modules. A method of mitigating failure propagation between a plurality of modules in the modular power system is also described.

A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, a module case configured to accommodate the plurality of battery cells, an air intake unit provided to one side of the module case and configured to guide an air into the module case to cool the plurality of battery cells, an air discharge unit provided to the other side of the module case and configured to discharge the air introduced into the module case through the air intake unit to the outside of the module case, and at least one sheet member attached to an inner wall of the module case between the air discharge unit and the air intake unit and configured to expand at a predetermined temperature or above to seal an inner space of the module case.

Multi-layer fire-rated joint component

An improved fire-blocking gasket profile for a fire-rated joint, such as a head-of-wall assembly. Fire-rated joints are aimed at inhibiting or preventing fire, heat, or smoke from leaving one portion of a building and entering another portion of a building. Fire-rated joints can also accommodate movement between adjacent building structures, such as between a ceiling and the top of a wall. The improved fire-blocking gasket profile includes a first layer formed of an intumescent material, a second layer formed of a foil lining and a third layer formed of the vinyl profile. The vinyl profile includes an air gap with the intumescent material positioned therein. A vertical portion of the vinyl profile is positioned between a header track and a wallboard in the fire-rated joint. A horizontal portion of the vinyl profile is positioned at least partially within a deflection gap and sealingly engages with the ceiling.

Acoustic dampening fire stop

A sound control firestop device. It has a horizontal pad portion made from an elastomeric or fibrous material with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the horizontal pad portion having a length and a width; and a vertical projection spacer portion projecting outwardly from the second surface, wherein the vertical projection portion extends across at least a portion of the width of the horizontal pad portion. A method of installation thereof.
