Apparatus and method for repair of shift cable ends in various motor vehicles
Apparatus and method for promptly repairing the shift cable end in various motor vehicles. The prompt repair of the shift cable end in various motor vehicles without the replacement of the entire shift cable apparatus is accomplished using a specialized hushing made to fit securely within the shift cable and engage the shift lever, thus operably coupling the shift lever and shift cable end. In particular embodiments, a drilling tool is used to enlarge the coupling aperture within the shift cable end and a specialized bushing is inserted into the shift cable end. The bushing has a coupling means to simulate the factory installed coupling mechanism and an alignment and securing means for maintain the bushing's alignment and securing it within the shift cable end. The shift lever is then inserted into the bushing.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REPAIRING A GEARBOX OF A WIND TURBINE UPTOWER
A rotor lock assembly for locking a rotor of a wind turbine. The rotor lock assembly has at least one relocatable rotor lock. The relocatable rotor lock has a housing, a bushing element, a pin shaft position within the bushing element, and a locking mechanism. The housing includes a mounting portion adapted for mounting to a bearing housing adjacent to a rotor lock plate of the rotor.
FIELD MACHINING OF WIND TURBINE GEARBOXES
A gearbox repair assembly is disclosed herein. The gearbox repair assembly includes a sleeve having an inner diameter configured to receive a bearing assembly and an outer diameter configured to fit within a bore of a gearbox housing. The gearbox housing can be part of a gearbox of a wind turbine. The gearbox repair assembly further includes a retaining plate configured to be attached to the gearbox housing for preventing an outer race of the bearing assembly from rotating in the bore relative to the gearbox housing. Also provided are methods to repair such a gearbox. The gearbox repair assembly and related methods reduce the time and cost needed to repair the gearboxes.
Torque converters and methods and devices for rebuilding torque converters
Methods of repairing a torque converter that enable the continued use of a torque converter and result in a repaired torque converter with a higher-strength and more durable construction. In some examples, a backing ring can be replaced with a replacement backing ring that includes a spline ring for replacing the function of a cover spline ring. In some examples, a method of repairing a torque converter can be improved by providing a replacement backing ring with a radial protrusion for locating the backing ring on the cover, and a method of determining an axial location of the radial protrusion.
System and method for repairing a gearbox of a wind turbine uptower
A repair system for a gearbox of a wind turbine includes for removably coupling to the first portion of the gearbox housing of the gearbox. The lifting apparatus is adapted for lifting the first portion of the gearbox housing relative to the second portion gearbox housing. The repair system also includes at least one gearbox housing support member for mounting to the second portion of the gearbox housing. The at least one gearbox housing support member provides a support surface for the first portion of the gearbox housing during a repair procedure of the gearbox. The support surface is offset from the second portion of the gearbox housing.

Gearbox Case With Wear Sleeve
A gearbox may include a gearbox case with a wear sleeve disposed within a shaft bore, and a gear assembly mounted on a shaft and disposed within the shaft bore. The gear assembly may include a bearing that engages the wear sleeve. A method of repairing a gearbox case may include uncoupling a top piece and a bottom piece of the gearbox case, forming an oversize bore in a shaft bore of the gearbox case to remove a damaged area, and installing a wear sleeve in the oversize bore.
Fixed shaft drive assembly
A linear fixed shaft drive assembly for use in a self-stacking industrial/commercial-grade spiral/gyro oven or freezer that includes a fixed, non-rotatable shaft having a cylindrical mounting portion, a bearing cup supported by the mounting portion, and a hub and shaft base that includes a shaft portion and flange portion. The flange portion is configured to couple to a first side of a flange extending from the bearing cup. A sprocket is mounted to an opposite second side of the flange extending from the bearing cup. The sprocket includes teeth configured to engage with a ball chain assembly of the oven or freezer. The bearing cup includes at least two permanently lubricated bearings. Rotation of the shaft portion of the hub and shaft base causes the bearing cup and sprocket to rotate on the mounting portion of the fixed, non-rotatable shaft. Also a method for retrofitting an oven or freezer having an existing shaft assembly mounted within a thermal chamber of the oven or freezer, and a method for servicing an oven or freezer having an existing linear fixed shaft drive assembly.
