The invention is directed to a shifter assembly (1) for controlling the transmission of a vehicle. A rotatably mounted actuation element (2) with a locking track is rotatable for selection of a shift stage and at least one locking assembly (8, 9) with a rotatable locking member (13) may lock the actuation element (2) against rotation. The locking track is provided on the circumference of a ratchet wheel (4, 5) connected to the actuation element (2), and the locking assembly (8,9) includes a biasing member (12) applied to the locking member (13) to rotationally bias the locking member (13) such as to engage and lock the ratchet wheel. An electrically activated retaining device (11) is configured to retain the locking member (13) in a position such that the locking member (13) is prevented from rotating and engaging the ratchet wheel (4, 5) under the force of the biasing member (12).

A device for controlling a gearbox includes a transmission member that transmits movement of a control lever to a control cable. A locking member, having a first and second portions for locking the lever in respective park and neutral positions, is mounted in a device casing. An actuator causes the locking member to rotate when the lever must be unlocked from park position and when the lever must be locked in neutral position. The device includes an anti-locking pawl mounted on the transmission member, having an operative position preventing the second portion from being received in a transmission member seat for locking the lever in the neutral position. If the lever is freed from park position and moved through the neutral position while the actuator is active, the pawl is pushed by the locking member into its operative position, thereby preventing unwanted locking of the lever in the neutral position.

A device for controlling a gearbox includes a transmission member that transmits movement of a control lever to a control cable. A locking member, having a first and second portions for locking the lever in respective park and neutral positions, is mounted in a device casing. An actuator causes the locking member to rotate when the lever must be unlocked from park position and when the lever must be locked in neutral position. Shift device
In a shift device, when a switch is operated, a moving portion, a first lock plate, a second lock plate and a third lock plate are moved toward a vehicle front side, and placement of the first lock plate, the second lock plate and the third lock plate at a return path is cancelled. Therefore, if the switch is operated when a lever is placed at other than a P position, due to a guide pin being moved along the return path toward an upper side by urging force of a return spring, the guide pin is returned to a vehicle front side end of a first lateral path, and the lever is returned to the P position. Due thereto, the lever can easily return to the P position from other than the P position.
