20210269151 · 2021-09-02 ·

Systems and methods are provided for controlling a netting by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). A mesh netting includes a plurality of nettings arranged as interspersed layers in a mesh form. Each of the plurality of nettings has fire-resistant property. Further, a battery powered UAV is present at an aerial location. The mesh netting is coupled to the UAV such that the UAV maintains the mesh netting afloat and adjusts at a position such that a particular source of flying embers is covered with the mesh netting. Also, a lifting kite coupled to the UAV at one end and attached to the mesh netting at another end is provided. The lifting kite carries and holds the mesh netting aloft when the UAV brings the lifting kite at an aloft position such that a particular source is covered with the mesh netting.

Lid and trolley system for use with fire test pan
10974086 · 2021-04-13 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods are described herein for extinguishing fires in a flammable liquid test pan. In an example, the system can include a substantially impermeable lid configured to mate with a top surface of the test pan. When the lid is mated with the test pan, the lid deprives an enclosed volume of the test pan of ambient combustible gas. The lid can be made of one or more materials including metals, ceramics, aramid fibers, and other gas-impermeable and fire resistant materials. The system can include a vehicle configured to carry the lid from a first location that is distal to the test pan to a second location that is adjacent to the test pan. In an example, the vehicle includes a lid transfer device that facilitates transferring the lid from the vehicle to the top surface of the test pan.

Campfire Reflective Barrier
20210123260 · 2021-04-29 ·

A campfire reflective barrier for protecting a user from exposure to wind while concurrently providing heat reflection from a campfire or other associated energy sources is provided. The campfire reflective barrier includes a first panel affixed to an adjacent second panel via a hinge. The panels form a heat reflecting and wind deflecting shield. Each panel includes a first side having a heat reflecting element that can reflect heat and a second side for deflecting wind. In one embodiment, the heat reflecting element is formed in a bubble arrangement to provide a highly reflective surface so as so reflect the heat generated by the campfire. In some embodiments, the panels are reconfigurable and joinable with other campfire reflective barriers to form a continuous shield.
