Rigid entry fitting for flexible pipe

A rigid entry fitting configured to form a seal between a flexible pipe segment and a sump wall includes a fitting body having an inner surface defining a tapered opening, an insert received in the tapered opening, a shell received in an opening of the insert, a first pair of gaskets between an outer surface of the insert and the inner surface of the fitting body, a second pair of gaskets contacting an inner surface of the shell and opposite ends of the insert, and a nut configured to engage threads on an outer surface of the fitting body. When the nut is threaded onto the threads, the nut presses the shell and the insert into the tapered opening and presses the first pair of gaskets against the inner surface of the fitting body and the second pair of gaskets against the outer surface of the flexible pipe segment.

Potted pipe fitting systems and methods

Techniques for implementing a pipeline system including a pipe segment and a potted pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing having an internal pressure sheath layer, a reinforcement strip, and an outer sheath layer. The potted pipe fitting includes an outer fitting body disposed around a portion of the reinforcement strip, an inner fitting body disposed between the portion of the reinforcement strip and the internal pressure sheath layer, in which the inner fitting body directly abuts the internal pressure sheath layer at least up to a point where the reinforcement strip begins to flare away from the internal pressure sheath layer and a potting cavity of the potted pipe fitting is defined at least between an inner surface of the outer fitting body and an outer surface of the inner fitting body, and cured potting material implemented around the portion of the reinforcement strip in the potting cavity.

HOSE CONNECTOR

This disclosure relates to a hose connector formed at the end of a rigid pipe body used to connect the pipe body to a flexible polymeric hose. The hose connector includes a frustoconical front end extending outward from a tip to a radially enlarged first ring portion that terminates at a circumferential first step. A radially reduced second ring portion extends from the first step backwards at a constant diameter to a circumferential rear edge. A circumferential second step extends from the second ring portion rear edge backwards in a decreasing circumferential diameter to a mid-section of the pipe body. A flexible hose is adapted to be inserted by pressure over the pipe body at the tip end until it passes beyond the second step to at least the mid-section of the pipe body.

SEAL RING AND HOSE CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
20220196190 · 2022-06-23 ·

The invention relates to a seal ring having a central axis and comprising an elastic ring member made of elastic material and comprising an annular body portion and a flange surrounding the annular body portion, wherein the thickness of the flange is smaller than the thickness of the annular body portion as measured in axial direction of the seal ring. The invention also relates to a hose connector assembly implementing the aforementioned seal ring.

RETAINER AND PIPE JOINT USING RETAINER
20220154862 · 2022-05-19 ·

A retainer allows reduction in a length in a direction of insertion of a flexible pipe and capable of being engaged with the flexible pipe without requiring motions of other members. The retainer is a retainer having a shape of a ring and used in a pipe joint, including: a plurality of pawls for getting into a valley of a corrugated pipe of a flexible pipe to be inserted into the pipe joint; a plurality of supports for contacting an inner surface of a pipe joint body housing the retainer in the pipe joint, the supports being continuous with corresponding ones of the pawls as viewed in a direction of a center axis of the ring of the retainer; and a connector connecting the pawls and the supports in a plurality of combinations continuous with each other. The connector is more elastically deformable than the pawls and the supports.
