High pressure pipe and fitting restraint system

A restraint system for use in securing temporary flow lines that include multiple pipe sections, each pair of pipe sections connected together with a fitting or coupling such as a hammer joint coupling. The system includes multiple pluralities of endless loop slings connected end to end with a cow hitch or girth hitch knot. Disconnectable fittings (e.g., shackles) are placed every three or more slings so that easy disassembly is afforded in case of leakage or other failure.

Provided is a retention and safety device for hoses including a connection end engageable to a fixed point of a system. The device may include: (1) a rope defining a main extension trajectory and including an engagement portion; (2) a coupling end secured to the rope and connectable to the fixed point; and (3) an engagement end connectable to the hose and including the engagement portion of the rope and a rope guide bushing slidingly constrained to the rope and enclosing at least two portions distant along the main extension trajectory and mutually juxtaposed to the rope. The engagement portion may be substantially continuous and define a complete turn making, by means of a fast knot, an engagement loop in use around the hose, so that the engagement portion can wind around the hose irreversibly clenching along the same if the device is placed in traction.

SAFETY ANCHOR DEVICE FOR HIGH PRESSURE PIPE COUPLINGS

A pipe restraint, system, and method for securing a pipeline, of which the pipe restraint includes an anchor configured to be secured to the ground, a first gripping member configured to grip a first pipe, a second gripping member configured to grip a second pipe that is connected to the first pipe, and one or more arms connected to the anchor and the first and second gripping members. The one or more arms are configured to constrain movement of the first gripping member, the second gripping member, or both with respect to the anchor.

Anchoring arrangement for a protective sleeve

An anchor of an anchoring arrangement for a protective sleeve which locates, in use, over a conduit assembly, the conduit assembly including a conduit end connector configured to engage and fasten an end of a conduit to a conduit connection assembly. The anchor comprises a mounting element which is configured, in use, to be removably mountable on and around at least a portion of the conduit end connector, the mounting element having an outer side; and at least one fastening groove formed in and extending around the outer side of the mounting element. Each fastening groove is configured to receive, in use, a portion of a co-located protective sleeve and at least one securing element such that the securing element captures a portion of a co-located protective sleeve between the securing element and the mounting element within a cooperating fastening groove.

Hydraulic unit

A hydraulic unit has a hydraulic component, a hydraulic line connected to a hydraulic connection of the hydraulic component, and a hose and fitting connected to the hydraulic connection. A tear-out preventer having a cable loop secured by a cable clamp acts on the hose. The cable clamp comprises a clamping block, which has two crossing passages and a rivet. A first passage, through which the cable is guided, has, in the region of the crossing with the second passage, a width corresponding to at least double the thickness of the cable plus the diameter of the non-deformed rivet. The second passage is configured in a stepped manner with a narrow primary portion arranged on one side of the first passage and a wide secondary portion arranged on the other side. The rivet braces the two strands of the cable against the inner wall of the first passage.

SLIDING CABLE SAFETY DEVICE FOR CONDUITS OR SIMILAR EQUIPMENTS SUBJECT TO PRESSURE AND CORRESPONDING INSTALLATION INCLUDING SUCH SAFETY DEVICE
20190063659 · 2019-02-28 ·

A safety device with a sliding cable and a corresponding installation, to secure conduits, pipes, piping and similar equipments subject to high pressure due to fluid under pressure circulating in such conduits and equipments. The safety device includes a flexible cable which forms a first and a second attachment eyelet for attaching and connecting the safety device to two parts of the conduits and equipments under pressure. A first and a second sleeve which close two end portions of the flexible cable form, at the ends of the safety device, the first and second attachment eyelets. Two terminals are provided at the opposite ends of the flexible cable.

Flowline restraint method

A method for securing flowline segments in a flowline is disclosed. A high tensile strength restraining line is extended along the length of the flowline. At each joint between segments, the restraining line is knotted around the flowline on either one or both sides of the flowline joint. The knots secure each flowline segment such that in the case of a fail of a flowline joint, the disconnected flowline segments are maintained in place.

Plug With Handle

A plug for sealing an interior of a tube and including a cylindrical body having a first end that is open and includes an annular surface, and a second end that is closed by a conical end wall. The cylindrical body having a plurality of ribs that are configured to engage the interior of the tube and provide a seal between the plug and the interior of the tube. The plug also includes a handle unitary with the cylindrical body that extends from the annular surface. The handle has a cylindrical inner surface that is coextensive with an interior surface of the cylindrical body and an outer surface that is coextensive with an exterior surface of the cylindrical body.
