AIR HOSE COUPLER HOUSING
A hose coupler housing assembly for air and fluid hoses having an externally threaded cylindrical outer component (2) for mounting recessed on a planar surface encompassing a female quick connect coupler (1). The housing allows a user to insert or remove a male hose fitting into the coupler by depressing and releasing an inner component (3). A rotating dust cover (4) mounts to the top of the inner component with a screw (6) through a countersunk aperture (16) and protects the female quick connect coupler when not in use. The outer component is held to the planar surface with an internally threaded retaining ring (5) which mates to the externally threaded body of the outer component.
Protection assembly for an elongate member deployed underwater
A protection assembly for mounting in an underwater support structure includes at least one bend protection device coupled to a retaining device so that together they provide a through-going passage for receiving an elongate member which is to be protected. The elongate member passes through a support structure opening, and the retaining device is configured to be received in the support structure opening and to engage with the support structure to resist subsequent withdrawal from it. Installation of the protection assembly includes grasping the protection assembly with a releasable clamp, arranging a pulling line to pass through the support structure opening to the mechanical clamp and securing the pulling line to the mechanical clamp, drawing the retaining device of the protection assembly into the support structure opening using the pulling line and engaging the retaining device with the support structure, and releasing the clamp from the protection assembly.
Threaded plug and protective element for a plug
A threaded plug includes a structure which extends along an axis and includes a head, a body provided with an outer thread, and a clamping flange inserted between the head and the body; wherein the head includes, along the axis, at least one first portion having an outer lateral surface which features a first profile and at least one second portion having an outer lateral surface which features a second profile which is not coincident with the first profile.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR EARTH DRILLING
A machine for a drilling plant includes a base, an arm, and a tool which is carried by the arm. The tool has a receiver for a protective cap. The machine is operable to engage the protective cap and to remove or to install the protective cap from or on an end of a drilling tubular.
Fluid conduits with selectively coated surfaces
A fluid conduit system a first conduit section having a first conduit bore extending from a first end of the first conduit section to a second end of the first conduit section, the first conduit bore including a first beveled surface proximate the first end of the first conduit section. The fluid system also includes a second conduit section coupled to the first conduit section and having a second conduit bore extending from a first end of the second conduit section to a second end of the second conduit section, the second conduit bore including a second beveled surface proximate the first end of the second conduit section. The fluid system further includes a coating applied to the first beveled surface and to the second beveled surface.
APPARATUS FOR HANDLING PROTECTORS FOR ELONGATE OBJECTS
An apparatus is proposed for applying and removing protective caps (1) to and from the ends of elongate members (6). The protective cap (1) has a hard base portion (5) and a cover portion (2) of flexible, resilient material, extending from the base portion (5) and operative to cover a portion of an outer surface of the elongate member (6). The apparatus comprises: a gripping mechanism (44) operative to grip the hard base portion (5) of the protective cap (1); a drive mechanism, connected to the gripping mechanism (44), operative to move the protective cap (1) to and from the end of the elongate member (6); and a tool operative to perform at least one of the operations of (i) unfurling the cover portion to secure it to the outer surface of the elongate member, (ii) furling the cover portion to detach it from the outer surface of the elongate member.
SHROUD FOR SUBSEA FLANGE PROTECTION
Embodiments of the disclosure include methods and apparatus for a shroud that permits efficient installation and removal thereof from a flange of a pipeline. In one embodiment, a shroud is disclosed that includes a cover structure, and a plurality of retaining members coupled to an interior surface of the cover structure. Each of the plurality of retaining members comprises a rectangular arm coupled to a hinge structure, the hinge structure comprising a spring that fixes the rectangular arm in a position that is substantially orthogonal to a plane of the interior surface, wherein the hinge structure allows movement of the rectangular arm in a first direction and temporarily prevents movement of the rectangular arm in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
INDICATOR CAP FOR PIPE PENETRATIONS
This disclosure relates to an indicator cap for a pipe penetration. In one aspect, the indicator cap comprises a cap body, wherein the cap body comprises an engagement portion for engaging the indicator cap with the pipe, and a capping portion connected to the engagement portion for covering an open end of the pipe, and wherein a surface of the capping portion supports a means for aiding location of the indicator cap and thus the pipe, wherein the means for aiding location is adapted so as to not impede screeding thereover, and to indicate the position of the cap and thus the pipe post screeding.
SEALING ELEMENT FOR PIPES
The invention relates to a sealing element for pipes, comprising a body of injection-mouldable plastic material, being made up of a central stem section that has at one end a circular head region acting as a grip area, including on a stem section in a downward direction from said head region, a first centring region with a general inverted frustoconical shape, a second circumferential outer contour region that is defined by at least two flexible flaps formed from a pair of diametrically opposed grooves and a third circumferential outer contour positioning region, the second region having a larger diameter than the first and third regions. Said sealing element includes at least two spaced extensions, which protrude in one same direction perpendicular to the central stem section, which have a length equal to or less than the diameter of the third positioning region.
Secure, trackable foreign material exclusion device
A foreign material exclusion device that is adapted to seal an area of a construction, such as a tube or pipe, from foreign material or debris temporarily, wherein the device has a resilient body for holding the device within a particular construction. The device also includes a post extending through the body and a base connected to a first end of the post, the base including a flange for maintaining the body on the post. The device further includes a cap that is securely locked to a second end of the post to prevent the post being withdrawn from the cap. The device body is captured between the base and cap.
