Cables and methods of making cables
A cable that include a hose having a conductor located thereabout. A first strength member layer is located about the conductor. A second strength member layer is located about the first strength member layer. A first jacket is located about the second strength member layer. The first jacket is fiber-reinforced. A second jacket is located about the first jacket. The second jacket is a contrasting color to the first jacket.
Hydrant nozzle cap spacer
Example aspects of a nozzle cap spacer for a hydrant nozzle cap, a spaced nozzle cap assembly, and a method for adjusting a rotational indexing of a nozzle cap are disclosed. The nozzle cap spacer for a hydrant nozzle cap can comprise a spacer body defining an outer body edge; and a resilient first spacer spring arm extending from the outer body edge, wherein the first spacer spring arm is biased away from the spacer body in an extended orientation.
DOUBLE SKINNED PIPE ASSEMBLY
A double skinned feed or scavenge pipe assembly comprises; an inner pipe (22) and an outer pipe (23) enclosing the inner pipe and defining an annular space (24) between the inner pipe and the outer pipe and a sleeve (28) configured to slip over the outer pipe (23). Complementary threads (29) are provided on an outer wall of the outer pipe (23) and an inner wall of the sleeve (28). A lock, for example in the form of a locking nut (31) is positioned over the outer pipe (23) when the complementary threads (29) of the outer pipe and sleeve are engaged. The configuration of the assembly is such that, in use, the sleeve (28) is slidable between a first position where the inner pipe (22) is accessible and a second position wherein the inner pipe (22) is completely enclosed.
FLUID CONNECTOR HAVING A DEFORMABLE TAB AND PLUG/CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY
A fluid connector comprising a body having a through-bore, a plurality of radially inwardly facing surfaces comprising a first cylindrical surface having a first diameter, a frusto-conical surface adjacent the first cylindrical surface, and a second cylindrical surface adjacent the frusto-conical surface, the second cylindrical surface having a second diameter, wherein the frusto-conical surface is arranged between the first and second cylindrical surfaces, and a plurality of outwardly facing surfaces comprising a first cylindrical surface having a first diameter, and a second cylindrical surface adjacent the first cylindrical surface, the second cylindrical surface having a second diameter, and a deformable tab integrally connected to the body and extending axially from the body.
PIPE JOINT APPLICATOR AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A JOINT
The disclosure relates to a pipe joint applicator with a control device and a method for producing a joint between a first pipe element and a second pipe element. The pipe joint applicator with a control device thereby detects actual process parameters via means for actual value detecting. The pipe joint applicator with a control device and the method determines therefrom the target process parameters for process control means for controlling the process parameters to be delivered to a pipe joint to be made. The pipe joint applicator with a control device optionally compares at least one actual value of the process parameters to at least one target process parameter and, in the event of deviation from at least one tolerance value range, issues an alarm to the user and/or generates an error protocol.
Automated milking system safety valve arrangement
A safety valve arrangement and method, having an upstream block valve, a downstream block valve, and a pressure monitored galley between the upstream valve and the downstream valve.
LEAKAGE DETECTION SYSTEM
A leakage detection system is provided and includes a substrate provided between a first element and a second element, and at least one sensing unit provided on the substrate to generate an electrical signal when coming into contact with a leakage liquid. As such, warnings can be provided when coming into contact with the leakage liquid to avoid significant loss of assets.
FLEXIBLE PIPE FOR HYDRAULIC FRACTURING APPLICATIONS
A flexible pipe includes one or more outer layers, a primary liner disposed internal to the one or more outer layers, and a removable liner disposed internal to the primary liner. Additionally, a flexible piping system includes the flexible pipe with a first end and a second end. Further, an annulus is disposed between the primary liner and the removable liner. Furthermore, a pressure port is provided and extends from the annulus to an outer surface of the flexible piping system. An end fitting is disposed at the first end of the flexible pipe.
Controlling robot with head mounted controller
An embodiment provides a method of controlling a pipe inspection robot, including: detecting, from a headset, brain activity of a user wearing the headset; binning the brain activity of the user into one of a plurality of different bins; the binning comprising accumulating brain activity values for a period of time to establish a brain activity value for the period of time; determining, using the brain activity value, if a threshold level of brain activity has accumulated over the period of time; after the threshold level has been accumulated, identifying a control action to be sent to the pipe inspection robot based on the brain activity value; and controlling the movement of the pipe inspection robot using a control signal associated with the control action. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Multi-sensor pipe inspection utilizing pipe templates to determine cross sectional profile deviations
Systems and methods for determining cross-section profiles of underground fluid conveyance structures involves a memory configured to store a profile scan dataset of at least one pipe and at least one pipe template. A processor is configured to compare the profile scan dataset to one or more templates. Profile deviations in a pipe profile are determined using the comparison. A location and an areal measurement of the profile deviations is determined. A user interface is configured to present the profile deviations to a user.
