A flat panel mounting system includes a TV bracket and a wall bracket. The TV bracket is adapted to be mounted to a flat display. The TV bracket includes a flange extending from an elongate panel thereof and a lip extending from the flange. The wall bracket is adapted to be mounted to a wall and includes a flange extending from an elongate panel thereof. The flange and elongate panel of the wall bracket define a laterally extending channel. The wall bracket also includes a flapper moveable within the channel between forward and rearward positions. When the TV bracket is placed on the wall bracket in an assembled position, the flange and lip of the TV bracket is received within the channel and is prohibited from being removed from the channel by the flapper via coaction between the lip and the flapper while the flapper is in the forward position.

The invention includes a payload stage with tilt head, a monitor mount and a payload plate clamping mechanism, individually, and incorporated into a camera stabilizer. The tilt head provides a curved and a straight slot each having a pivot pin disposed therein. The pivot pins are at a fixed distance from one another and thus the stage tilts as the pivot progresses with respect to the straight slot. The monitor mount provides inserts to accommodate central posts of different sizes, each designed to be axially registered to the posts and the monitor mount.

The resilient member is coupled between the locking member and the display. The supporting foot includes a supporting bracket and a rotating assembly coupled to the supporting bracket. The rotating assembly includes a pivot capable of moving the locking member. The pivot includes a latching slot. When the pivot is inserted into the display, the pivot moves the locking member and deforms the resilient member. When the protrusion aligns with the latching slot of the pivot, the resilient member moves the locking member, to allow the protrusion to engage in the latching slot.

Methods and apparatus for securely mounting an enclosure are described. In various embodiments a device enclosure includes a recessed back area in which a mounting latch including a generally key-shaped opening is positioned. A mounting bracket including a post having multiple dimensions is secured to a wall. The enclosure and latch is placed over the post. The enclosure is moved so that the post slides in the key-shaped opening and snaps into the first portion of the key-shaped opening. To release the latch a release tool is inserted into a slot or other opening and rotated so that the tip or tips of the release tool can pass through one or more openings in a rear wall of the enclosure and compress a portion of the latch allowing the enclosure and latch to slide on the shaft until the enclosure reaches a position where it can be removed.
