LUBRICANT DISPENSER
The invention relates to a lubricant dispenser comprising a storage container (1) filled with lubricant and a pump unit (2) which can be connected to or is releasably connected to the storage container and by means of which the lubricant can be pumped from the storage container (1) to an outlet (5) of the pump unit (2) and is equipped with an electronic controller (35). The lubricant dispenser is characterized in that the storage container (1) is equipped with an electronic coding means (36) which can be connected to the electronic controller (35) of the pump unit (2) and can be read by same so as to transmit information in the assembled state in order to identify the storage container (1).
System and method for electronic fluid measurement
An agricultural product application implement includes a system and method for indicating an amount of fluid stored. A pressure transducer installed at the sump of a fluid tank electronically measures and displays a fluid depth. Instrumentation, such as an instrument cluster unit for the implement, is programmed via software to convert the voltage output of the pressure transducer to a volume measurement displayed in the operator's line of sight. Software within the instrument cluster unit for self-calibrating accounts for varying densities of different chemical solutions. The pressure transducer is used in conjunction with a transfer medium to prevent corrosive chemical solutions from contacting the pressure transducer.
Condition monitoring pod
Apparatuses are disclosed including an apparatus for machine fluid monitoring or sampling comprising a transparent sight glass attachable to a machine such that machine fluid is transferable to the sight glass. The sight glass is at least partially constructed of one or more materials that is transparent to light in a visible region. The sight glass has an open first end, a closed second end, an inside surface and an outside surface extending from the open first end to the closed second end and across the closed second end, the sight glass at least partially surrounds a cavity within the sight glass, the inside surface and the outside surface of the closed second end being parallel. The closed second end is constructed of the one or more materials that are transparent to light in the visible region to allow inspection of machine fluid through the closed second end.
EFFICIENT GROUNDING OF ELECTRICAL CONNECTION WITH CHALLENGING BONDING PATH
A system and method of safely servicing a liquid-tight container installed in a location where flammable vapors or electrostatic shock exist, where the structure of the container is fabricated of a non-conductive material. The electrostatic charge build-up inside the container is achieved by coating the inside surface with a dissipative plastic and connecting the dissipative coating to a conductive feed-through with a metallic layer, where at least one of the metallic layer or the conductive layer extends over at least the region between a lower design fill level and an upper design fill level. The conductive feed-through is connected to a system static ground point which is isolated from electronic power supply grounds.
MEASURING FLUID LEVEL IN TANK WITH COMPLEX GEOMETRICAL SHAPE
A system and method for efficiently measuring the fluid level in a container having a non-uniform cross sectional area is described. The measuring device may be immersed in the fluid and have a float slidable along a structure having the capability to sense an aspect of the location of the float. Since the accuracy requirements in measuring the fluid level may be more important for the higher levels and the lower levels than the intermediate quantities, the sensor may likewise be configured to provide more accurate measurements near the upper and lower fill levels. The position of a float may be determined by capacitive optical or magnetic sensing techniques and the sensed position translated into engineering units for output by a calibration table.
Lubricant reservoir system
A lubricant reservoir system includes a lubricant reservoir having an interior wall and an inlet for receiving lubricant from a supply. A follower device in the reservoir contacts the interior wall of the reservoir in a sliding and sealing manner, and the follower device is movable up and down in the reservoir from a first position to a second position in response to a changing lubricant level. A valve is in fluid communication with the inlet and is configured to selectively prevent a flow of the lubricant through the inlet. A connector operatively connects the follower device to the valve unit such that the flow of the lubricant through the inlet is prevented when the follower device is in the second position. The connector is configured such that the valve is positionable independently of the reservoir.
PUMP WITH ANGLED DRAIN SYSTEM
A pump, such as a vacuum pump, includes at least one housing and a motor and oil reservoir disposed within the housing. The pump housing can include a bottom exterior surface and one or more side and/or front exterior surfaces that extend generally up from the bottom exterior surface. An oil drain port can be positioned at or near the intersection of the bottom exterior surface and the side or front exterior surface. The housing can include an interior bottom surface that defines at least a portion of a drain passageway for the pump and can be fluidicly coupled to the oil reservoir. At least a portion of the interior bottom surface can be angled downward at an acute angle to the horizontal towards the oil drain port to improve the draining and replacement of oil in the pump.
A Grounded Filter Regulator Lubricator
A grounded FRL for treating a pressurized air supply has a housing with a connecting mechanism for connecting to a collector bowl. The collector bowl is made from a metal base material and has an open end with a connecting mechanism and a closed distal end. The housing has a flange that is electrically conductive and extending downwardly at an exterior of the bowl. At least one grounding clip member is made from electrically conductive material and has an exterior mounting end attached to the flange for electrical connectivity thereto and has a radially inner end that electrically makes contact with the metal base materials of the collector bowl and the housing.
Oil level sensor tank for turbine engine
An oil tank of a turbine engine, particularly of an aircraft turbojet includes an external wall forming a generally curved main cavity. This cavity includes an arched sensor for electrically measuring the oil level, for example in a capacitive manner. Said arched sensor matches the curvature of the main cavity in order to be integrated therein. Sensor supporting arms distributed along the curvature of the arched sensor and/or an arched sleeve with an arched cavity receive the arched sensor. A turbine engine is provided with an oil tank, as well as a method for mounting a sensor in an oil tank.
Autofill shutoff valve
An autofill shutoff valve includes a valve body mounted to a lubricant reservoir and secured to a fill tube extending into the reservoir. The autofill shutoff valve has a valve stem extending through the valve body and into the lubricant reservoir. The valve stem is actuated by a plate disposed within the reservoir from a first position, wherein lubricant flows from a lubricant inlet to a lubricant outlet through the valve body, to a second position, wherein the valve stem blocks the flow of lubricant through the valve body. The autofill shutoff valve provides lubricant directly to the reservoir, thereby eliminating external plumbing and the autofill shutoff valve also prevents overfill of the reservoir by cutting off the flow when the reservoir is full.
