LEAK CATCHING DEVICE
A leak catching apparatus is provided. The leak catching apparatus may include a receiving device configured to receive a fluid leaking from a sealed system that contains liquid; an absorbent material positioned on the receiving device; and one or more attachment means coupled to the receiving device, wherein the one or more attachment means are configured to temporarily secure the receiving device to the sealed system, one or more structures associated with the sealed system, or a combination thereof.
OIL FILTER BIB
In one embodiment, a flexible oil filter bib comprises an open end, a closed end, and upper and lower side panels, an oil filter removal aperture configured to permit access by an oil filter removal tool and graspable tabs configured to secure a portion of the bib under the oil filter. In some embodiments, a disposal compartment is configured to receive a removed oil filter and used oil. In some embodiments, a folded edge is formed at the open end of the bib to further contain used oil. In particular embodiments, one or more pockets can receive an end of an elongate tool to facilitate positioning the bib. In another embodiment, a bag is placed at least partially around an oil filter by placing a lower portion of the bag under the fixed end of the oil filter and inserting a tool through an aperture in the bag to remove the oil filter, allowing it to fall into the bag.
PORTABLE CONTAINMENT SYSTEM FOR HAZARDOUS OR OTHER MATERIALS
A method includes wrapping one or more pieces of fabric around at least one piece of shape memory material. The method also includes attaching outer edges of the one or more pieces of fabric to other portions of the one or more pieces of fabric. The method further includes depositing liquid-impervious material onto the one or more pieces of fabric to form free-standing flexible walls and a floor of a containment structure. The floor is formed seamlessly with the walls. The wrapping could include attaching a bottom of the at least one piece of shape memory material to the one or more pieces of fabric at locations spaced apart from the outer edges of the one or more pieces of fabric. The wrapping could also include attaching sides of the at least one piece of shape memory material to the one or more pieces of fabric.
Leak catching device
A leak catching apparatus is provided. The leak catching apparatus may include a plate having a first section, a center section, and a second section, wherein the first section is non-coplanar with the second section; an absorbent material housed on the first section; one or more absorbent material attachments coupled to the first section to secure the absorbent material to the first section; and one or more plate attachments coupled to the first section and the second section, wherein the one or more plate attachments temporarily secures the first section and the second section to a sealed system that contains liquid.
PORTABLE CONTAINMENT UNITS AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME
Portable containment units and methods for making same are described herein. The portable containment unit can include a liner containing a geotextile material and having an outer perimeter. A wall assembly can be adhered to an upper surface of the geotextile material on the outer perimeter of the liner. The wall assembly can include an open-cell foam material. An elastomeric material can be coated onto the liner and the wall assembly to form the portable containment unit.
A DEVICE SUITABLE FOR PROTECTING AND/OR ALLOWING CLEANING OF A BIKE AND/OR VEHICLE COMPONENT AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF
A device is provided for protecting, allowing cleaning, servicing and/or lubrication of one or more components of a bike or vehicle in use. The device is formed from at least one blank of material including a first portion arranged to act as a shield element so as to at least partially shield at least one component of the vehicle or bike in use, and at least a second portion. The second portion includes at least one wall joined to the first portion by at least one fold line. The at least one wall and fold line are arranged such that when the second portion is assembled and/or erected in use it defines a tray or container portion joined to the first portion.
Helicopter drip pan
A drip pan apparatus for use in a helicopter includes a drip pan and a frame having a plurality of frame sides and a plurality of frame corners that define an inwardly-facing peripheral surface. A first frame angle is formed between a first inwardly-facing surface and a second inwardly-facing surface. The first frame angle is an acute angle. The drip pan has an outwardly-facing peripheral surface. The outwardly-facing peripheral surface defines a plurality of sides, including a first side and a second side, to cooperate with the inwardly-facing peripheral surface of the frame. A first angle is formed between the first side and the second side. The first angle is an acute angle. A method of installing a drip pan includes modifying at least a portion of a skirt on the helicopter and then securing the frame to one or both of the modified skirt and the helicopter structure.
Collapsible drive-on containment basin
A collapsible drive-on containment basin configured to retain a collection of hazardous materials is presented. In one embodiment, the collapsible drive-on containment basin includes a non-porous liner that comprises a plurality of fastening mechanisms and a plurality of elongated barriers. Initially, the containment basin may be in a collapsed state and later expanded as part of an effort to prevent the spread of hazardous materials at a job site, particularly to prevent the spread of hazardous materials coming from vehicles and machinery. Once in an expanded state, operators can drive vehicles on and off the collapsible drive-on containment basin. Thus, the collapsible drive-on containment basin reduces the amount of time spent preparing a job location against the potential spread of hazardous materials.
VEHICLE DEBRIS COLLECTION DEVICE
A debris collection device for placement under tires includes a pair of tracks. The tracks are separable, such that the tracks are positionable in parallel. Each track comprises a plurality of sections that is interlocking. Each section comprises a panel and a pair of sidewalls. The sidewalls are coupled singly to and extend substantially perpendicularly from opposing edges of the panel. A pair of stops is coupled singly to first ends of the tracks and defines a pair of catch areas. The stops are positioned to contact respective wheels of the vehicle as the vehicle is positioned on the tracks. The sections are interlocking such that the sections are positioned to form the tracks. Each track is configured to position a front and rear wheel of a vehicle, such that the vehicle is positioned over the tracks. The catch areas are configured to retain debris falling from the vehicle.
Collapsible containment berm
Containment berms (40) for the collection of hazardous materials are provided which include a floor (42) with an upstanding, continuous, foldable sidewall (44) to define and internal zone (46) for receiving and holding hazardous materials. The sidewall (44) may be supported by means of external support structure (48) and/or internal support structure (50). The support structures (48, 50) each include a plurality of support leg assemblies (52, 52a) which are secured to sidewall (44) and are pivotal about respective upright axes (66, 66a, 150) and are pivotal from retracted positions close to the sidewall (44) to deployed positions extending from the sidewall (44) and substantially perpendicular thereto.
