Provided is a life evaluating device that evaluates the life of a lubricant in a machine including a motor and a transmission mechanism that is lubricated by the lubricant and transmits power of the motor to a movable unit. The life evaluating device includes a motor-heat-value calculating unit that calculates a motor heat value on the basis of a current value of the motor, a frictional-heat-value calculating unit that calculates a frictional heat value in the transmission mechanism on the basis of rotating speed of the motor and a coefficient of friction of the transmission mechanism, a lubricant-temperature estimating unit that estimates temperature of the lubricant on the basis of the calculated frictional heat value and the calculated motor heat value, and a life estimating unit that estimates the life of the lubricant on the basis of the estimated temperature of the lubricant and information concerning impurities in the lubricant.
POWER SOURCES AND TRANSMISSION NETWORKS FOR AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT ONBOARD HYDRAULIC FRACTURING UNITS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Embodiments of systems and methods disclosed provide a hydraulic fracturing unit that includes a reciprocating plunger pump configured to pump a fracturing fluid and a powertrain configured to power the reciprocating plunger pump. The powertrain includes a prime mover and a drivetrain, the prime mover including a gas turbine engine. The hydraulic fracturing unit also includes auxiliary equipment configured to support operation of the hydraulic fracturing unit including the reciprocating plunger pump and the powertrain. A power system is configured to power the auxiliary equipment. The power system includes a power source and a power network. The power source is configured to generate power for the auxiliary equipment. The power network is coupled to the power source and the auxiliary equipment, and configured to deliver the power generated by the power source to the auxiliary equipment. Associated systems including a plurality of hydraulic fracturing units are also provided.
Oil feed type air compressor
Provided is an oil feed type air compressor which can increase the determination accuracy regarding a deterioration state of oil. An oil feed type air compressor 1 includes a compressor main body 3, a separator 6 that separates oil from compressed air discharged from the compressor main body 3, and an oil feeding system 8 that feeds the oil separated by the separator 6 into a compression chamber of the compressor main body 3. The oil feeding system 8 includes a temperature control valve 20 that adjusts a diversion ratio for an oil cooler 18 and a diversion ratio for a bypass pipe 19 according to a temperature of the oil. The oil feed type air compressor 1 includes pressure sensors 22A and 22B located in the oil feeding system 8, a discharge temperature sensor 11 located on the discharge side of the compressor main body 3, and a controller 9 that computes, when it is estimated that the diversion ratio for the oil cooler 18 is 100% from the temperature sensed by the discharge temperature sensor 11 exceeding a predetermined value Td1, a difference ?P between the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor 22A and the pressure sensed by the pressure sensor 22B and determines a deterioration state of the oil in reference to the difference ?P.

A vacuum dehydrator for removing water from lube oil including a vacuum chamber having a contaminated lube oil contact zone, a lube oil inlet for introducing a water contaminated lube oil into the contact zone, a hot air inlet for introducing a heated air stream into the contact zone, a decontaminated oil outlet fluidly connected to the decontaminated oil collection zone, and a wet air outlet fluidly connected to the disengagement zone. The lube oil inlet and the hot air inlet are configured to introduce and contact the water contaminated lube oil and the hot air in the contact zone, producing a dehydrated oil received into the decontaminated oil collection zone and a wet air stream containing entrained oil droplets received into the disengagement zone. The disengagement zone includes a tortuous divergent flow path traversing from a disengagement zone inlet to the wet air outlet.
LUBRICATION OF MACHINES USING HEAT ACTIVATED POLYMERS
A lubricating system includes a machine configured to operate in a first operating state and a second operating state; and a heat activated polymer material applied to at least a part of the machine and to remain solid during the first operating state and to soften upon being heated in the second operating state to lubricate the machine. The heat activated polymer material may soften due to increased friction incurred by the machine in the second operating state. A heating element may be operatively connected to any of the machine and the heat activated polymer material. The heat activated polymer material may soften due to being heated by the heating element in the second operating state. An injector may apply the heat activated polymer material to the machine. A channel may direct a flow of the heat activated polymer material as it softens in the second operating state.

A health meter has a decontamination device for dirty fluid with a metal casing with metal lid, inlet port and outlet port, an open bucket having a docking lid and a plurality of openings, a hollow tube with an opening, a central hollow rod with rod opening connected to an outlet port, a convex reinforcing spacer in the open bucket, a compressible decontamination media and a reinforcing seat in the open bucket. Dirty fluid flows into the metal casing between the open bucket and metal casing through openings in the docking lid into the compressible decontamination media sequentially into the hollow tube and then into the central hollow rod and out the outlet port while an outlet sensor and an inlet sensor communicate with a controller in communication with a network and a plurality of client devices for automatic remote monitoring.

SYSTEMS FOR IN SITU MONITORING OF WORKING FLUIDS AND WORKING FLUID SYSTEMS
A working fluid monitoring system for monitoring a working fluid of working fluid system of a piece of equipment is provided. The working fluid monitoring system can include a filter member having an inlet, an outlet, and a filter media disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The filter member can be configured to permit fluid communication of the working fluid of the working fluid system from the inlet, through the filter media, and out the outlet of the filter member. A sensor is in operable communication with the working fluid within the filter member and is configured to monitor in situ a parameter of the working fluid and/or the working fluid system.
Multi-modal fluid condition sensor platform and system therefor
This invention encompasses embodiments for multi-modal integrated simultaneous measurement of various aspects of fluids contained in circulating systems such as automotive reciprocating engines and vehicle transmissions. These circulating systems perform constant internal lubrication, and heat and contaminant removal to protect the internal moving parts from the inherent friction and damage in normal operation. Most commonly this is achieved with fluids based on hydrocarbon and/or related synthetics, which, over time, can lose their protective properties, and vary in their performance or breakdown/decay due to internal and external events. Several components within the lubricant fluid can be measured and can provide insight into the efficacy of the system to perform its designed mission. Described herein is a real-time, simultaneous, integrated, multi-modal sensor system for early warning notification that can be further enhanced using specifically designed nanoparticles that can be introduced into the system, engineered to specifically bind with the contaminants and/or undergo an irreversible state change upon certain experienced conditions to both increase the detectability as well as provide for a framework to improve filter performance.
