Disclosed is a flashlight which may include of a first window arranged at a first end of the flashlight, a light source configured to generate light, a first reflector configured to reflect light from the light source to the first window to generate a first beam of light, and a second reflector configured to reflect stray light from the light source through one of a first aperture and a first gap in the first reflector to generate a second beam of light leaving the flashlight through a second window.

Method and Apparatus for Hands Free Self-Activating Flashlight
20170299166 · 2017-10-19 · ·

An inventive flashlight capable of operating in an automatic hands free and self-activating mode that is response to an ambient light conditions about the flashlight. This self-activating flashlight includes a body, a light source directing a light output from one end of the flashlight body, a power source, an ambient light sensor responsive to ambient light conditions and a control circuit electrically connected to the ambient light sensor and the light source. In one mode of operation the light output of the light source is regulated in proportion to the amount of ambient light present, wherein the light source provides proportionally more light output as ambient light decreases and proportionally less light, to fully turning off, as the ambient light increases.

HANDHELD COMPACT FLASHLIGHT

A compact flashlight housing configured for hand held use concurrently with a hand-held weapon. The flashlight housing holds a light source and power source and is configured with a strap secured to an external surface of the housing opposite a light emitting surface. The strap is configured to be supported by one or more fingers of a user's hand and allows the flashlight to be held on a top side of a user's hand or outside of a user's fist while allowing the user to also securely grip a weapon with a two-hand grip.

MULTI-FUNCTION PORTABLE LIGHTING APPARATUS
20170336056 · 2017-11-23 ·

A multi-function portable lighting apparatus is provided, including a lighting device, a carrier unit and a support unit. The carrier unit has two ends, with one end disposed with lighting device and the other coupled with support unit. The support unit includes a battery set, supplying power to lighting device. The carrier unit includes a clamping assembly, and the clamping assembly has a clamping opening, with direction perpendicular to light projection axis of lighting device. The clamping assembly includes a clamping base, a clamping element and a rotation element. The rotation element matches the clamping element in a means of screw. When the rotation element rotates, the clamping element moves in clamping base linearly to open or close clamping opening. The apparatus can be used as a flashlight or clamping onto a smart phone to provide lighting when the ambient light is insufficient for photography.

ILLUMINATION DEVICE
20170339767 · 2017-11-23 ·

An improved illumination device is presented which is comprised of a light emitter, a source of electric power, such as a battery, and a sensor which senses the orientation of the device. The light emitter may be a laser, conventional flashlight bulb, other illumination source, or a combination of multiple illumination sources. The sensor determines the pitch and roll state of the device, and is designed such that the light source is switched on or off depending on the specific orientation of the device.

Portable lighting device capable of adaptive power saving and brightness adjustment
11672066 · 2023-06-06 · ·

According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a portable lighting device capable of adaptive brightness control includes: a light irradiation unit that irradiates light; a brightness sensing unit that measures the brightness of a region in front of a current position at a predetermined distance; and a control unit that controls the amount of light to be irradiated by the light irradiation unit depending on the brightness measured by the brightness sensing unit. Herein, the control unit controls the amount of light by changing the width of an ON pulse period in which the light irradiation unit is operated within a discrete signal controlling the light irradiation unit or by changing the intensity of light in response to a continuous signal controlling the light irradiation unit.
