SITE LIGHT
A site light including body, an arm coupled to the body having an adjustable arm length, a light assembly coupled to the arm opposite the body, and a drive mechanism with a crank arm rotatable about a first axis, where rotating the crank arm in a first direction causes the arm length to increase, and where rotating the crank arm in a second direction causes the arm length to decrease. The site light also includes a damper assembly in operable communication with the drive mechanism, where the damper assembly resists rotation of the drive mechanism when the crank arm rotates in the second direction, and where the damper assembly does not resist the rotation of the drive mechanism when the crank arm rotates in the first direction.
Hybrid light tower
A hybrid light tower includes an engine, a permanent magnet generator configured to be driven by the engine, a battery pack including a plurality of lithium-ion battery cells, an extendible mast configured to move between a lowered position and a raised position, and a light assembly including a plurality of light emitting diodes. The generator is configured to produce a first DC power. The battery pack is directly electrically coupled to the generator to receive the first DC power from the generator to charge the battery pack. The light assembly is coupled to the mast and the light emitting diodes electrically coupled to the battery pack to receive a second DC power from the battery pack. The light tower does not include a battery charger connected to the battery pack.

EXTENDIBLE AND RETRACTIBLE LIGHTING TOWER SYSTEM
A lighting tower system is provided. The lighting tower system includes a tower positioned in an upright orientation within a bed of a vehicle. The tower includes a base tube section and an upper tube section. The base and upper tube sections include a common longitudinal axis and are arranged to slide relative to one another in a telescoping relationship to move each tower between a retracted position and a fully extended position. The lighting tower system includes a light assembly coupled to and extending from the upper tube section of the tower. The light assembly is configured to rotate with respect to the common longitudinal axis and to tilt with respect to an axis perpendicular to the common longitudinal axis. The lighting tower system includes a mounting configuration configured to attach and detach the tower to the bed of the vehicle in the upright orientation.
POWER DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR A LIGHT TOWER
A light tower includes a generator assembly including a prime mover, an alternator operably connected to the prime mover, the alternator configured to produce alternating current electrical energy, and a rectifier operably connected to the alternator and configured to convert alternating current electrical energy produced by the alternator to direct current electrical energy. At least one light emitting diode matrix is electrically connected to the generator assembly by an electrical connection, and a regulator is operably connected to the alternator and configured to detect a current of the direct current electrical energy in the electrical connection. In response to a detected current of the direct current electrical energy in the electrical connection, the regulator controls the alternator to adjust the current supplied to the at least one light emitting diode matrix.
Foldable portable lamp
A portable lamp comprises a central body, a boom arm, flat tripod stand, and a light unit. The central body is extendable along its vertical axis to a predetermined length. The boom arm is of adjustable length and is rotatably fixed to the upper end of the central body with a positively locking elbow joint, including a ratchet and pawl. The lower end of the central body is fixed with a foldable locking flat tripod stand adapted to hold and provide mobility to the portable lamp. Flat tripod stand includes a spring-biased latch and detents that hold legs in a folded or a down position. The central body, the boom arm, the tripod stand and the light unit are configured to provide up to twelve degrees of freedom jointly.

Portable light tower
Disclosed is a compact portable light tower that can be stacked or nested. The light tower employs a scissors lift mechanism to raise a set of bar lights from a housing having a height of about 28 and a length of about 60, to an extended height of about 360. The scissors lift is extended and retracted by use of a linear actuator. Batteries or an engine/generator assembly is employed for operation of the actuator and light bar. The housing can be stacked for ease of storage and transportation. Outriggers provide stabilization of ground engagement.
High-intensity, telescoping light tower with safety features
A mobile lighting device is disclosed with extendable boom sections. The boom sections are stored in a horizontal position and then pivot to a vertical position before being extended upward. A light section is positioned at the uppermost end of the last extendable boom section. A variety of safety features are also disclosed.
