Headlight for a Motor Vehicle
20230264626 · 2023-08-24 · ·

This disclosure relates to a headlight for a motor vehicle comprising a carrier element, on which a plurality of LEDs are arranged, which can be individually controlled in terms of light output, in order to output light according to a predefinable light distribution by means of the headlight. The LEDs are designed as micro-LEDs and at least one sensor element is arranged in an LED-free region of the carrier element.

Lamp device, sensor system, and sensor device

A translucent cover (1012) defines a lamp chamber (1013) together with a housing (1011) while forming a portion of an outer face of a vehicle. A LiDAR sensor (1161) is disposed in the lamp chamber (1013) to detect external information of the vehicle. A half mirror (1162) is disposed in the lamp chamber (1013) so as to cover the LiDAR sensor (1161) from a side where the translucent cover (1162) is disposed. The translucent cover (1012) has a first transparency to visible light. The half mirror (1162) has a second transparency to the visible light that is lower than the first transparency.

Lighting or signaling device and motor vehicle

A lighting or signaling device comprises a first light source and a housing, the housing defining at least a first light exit region and a second light exit region independent of each other, part of light from the first light source exiting as a first light beam from the first light exit region; the lighting or signaling device further comprises a light guide member, which is assigned to the first light source and is positioned and configured to guide a part of the light from the first light source to exit through at least the second light exit region. A motor vehicle is also disclosed.

Vehicle light assembly including a movable light signature member
11719409 · 2023-08-08 · ·

A vehicle light assembly including one or more movable light signature members that are selectively translated from a first position partially or wholly in front of conventional light units (low beams, high beams, taillights, etc.) to a second position away from the light units when the light units are in use. Thus, for example, the movable light signature member(s) can include one or more LEDs or the like that are illuminated to act as daytime running lights, turn signal indicators, accessory lights, etc. when they are disposed in front of the light units and when the low beams, high beams, or taillights are not in use. This provides the desired light signature. When the low beams, high beams, or taillights are in use, the movable light signature member(s) are translated out of the way, such that the light units are visible adjacent to and/or between the movable light signature member(s).

ILLUMINATION APPARATUS FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

An illumination apparatus for a motor vehicle comprises: a light source, an optical waveguide with an incident surface and a reflective region; and a hologram arranged on or in the optical waveguide. The illumination apparatus is configured such that light emitted by the light source enters the incident surface of the optical waveguide in the direction of the reflective region, is reflected by the reflective region inside the optical waveguide in the direction of the hologram and interacts with the hologram. The average distance between the light source and the incident surface is at least half as great as the average distance between the reflective region and the hologram.

Headlamp heater

Examples of the present disclosure relate to a headlamp heater for a headlamp assembly. In examples, a headlamp assembly comprises a heating element, which directs radiation toward a lens of the headlamp assembly in order to prevent or remove condensation/precipitation on the lens. In examples, the heating element is an infrared heating element, and the wavelength of radiation emitted by the heating element is selected to be a wavelength that excites water. In some examples, the heating element is angled toward the lens and/or has multiple angled surfaces, thereby altering the radiation pattern that is directed toward the lens such that it better matches the beam pattern of a light source in the headlamp assembly.

Light-emitting, notably lighting and/or signaling, module for motor vehicles
11168861 · 2021-11-09 · ·

Light-emitting module, notably motor vehicle lighting and/or signaling module, including at least two sub-modules each including at least two light sources activatable selectively to each produce a segment of a partial light beam. Also included is a projection optic common to the two sub-modules for projecting said light-emitting segments. The sub-modules and the projection optic being adapted to produce a homogeneous segmented beam.

Customizable vehicle exterior lamps

This disclosure relates to vehicle exterior lighting systems that include lamp assemblies that may be customized for meeting customer styling preferences. Exemplary lamp assemblies may include a lamp housing, a removable insert mounted to an interior wall of the lamp housing, and an access panel mounted to the rear exterior surface. The access panel is removable from the rear exterior surface to expose an access opening for inserting or removing the removable insert. The removable insert may include one or more customized features for personalizing the lamp assemblies.

Motor vehicle headlamp

The invention relates to a motor vehicle headlamp (8) comprising a vehicle headlamp housing (9), an at least sectionally transparent cover pane (10) that closes the vehicle headlamp housing (9), a light source (11) that is accommodated in the vehicle headlamp housing (9) and serves for radiating light through the cover pane (10), and at least one motor vehicle design element (3) that is accommodated in the vehicle headlamp housing (9), wherein the at least one motor vehicle design element (3) comprises a dimensionally stable substrate (1) with at least one coated side.
