Light Altering Bumper Device
The present invention is an integrally formed, light altering bumper designed to amplify amounts of visible light from a self-contained, integrated light source. The present invention is generally an illuminating dock bumper for attachment to either a dock or a dock vehicle made from a spine member; a lobe member; and a protective housing located within the recessed portion of the spine member for receiving an elongate light source therewithin, the light from the light source to illuminate the bumper in turn. The protective housing has a linear concave light refractor disposed thereon, the linear concave light refractor being a centrally-disposed, uniform, elongate concave depression extending along the length of the protective housing.
SECTOR LIGHT AND LENS
The present invention discloses a sector light, said sector light having at least one tier including a light source assembly comprising opaque dividing elements, two or more light sources, and two or more optical lenses; wherein the light source assembly is divided into circumferential sections, each circumferential section being separated by the opaque dividing elements, and each circumferential section containing a light source and an optical lens arranged such that the optical lens collects and outwardly projects the light emitted by the light source.
ADAPTIVE LIGHT FOR A WATERCRAFT
A lighting system for a watercraft includes a level sensor generating a level signal corresponding to a level of the watercraft. The system also includes a light source. The system also includes a plurality of elements optically coupled to the light source. The system also includes a controller coupled to the level sensor and the light source, said controller controlling the light source to illuminate selected elements less than all the elements to form a beam pattern.
Night-visible dock piling caps
A glow-in-the-dark piling cap is described herein that uses glow-in-the-dark materials on a dock piling cap to make pilings to which the cap is installed visible at night without the maintenance hassles of electrical-based lighting. The cap provides typical protection for the piling from the elements as well as lighting to aid boaters and users of the structure associated with the piling to see the piling at night. The glow-in-the-dark substance can be coated on the piling cap or mixed into the plastic, resin, or other material used to make the cap. The use of glow-in-the-dark materials eliminates any need for maintenance. Thus, the glow-in-the-dark piling cap provides protection for the piling, and maintenance-free lighting to alert boaters and users of the structure associated with the piling to nighttime hazards.
ILLUMINATED DOCK BUMPER SYSTEM
An illuminated dock bumper system for improving visibility and safety in marine and vehicle docking environments including a bumper member having a channel. The bumper member is secured to an edge of a dock. The channel is exposed to receive a lighting system. The lighting system mounts in a flush within the channel ensuring that the lighting system is prevented from damage. The illuminated dock bumper system includes a control unit operatively connecting the lighting system. The control unit is operated either manually, or remotely via an electronic device. The control unit allows an operator to adjust colors and brightness of the lighting system. The illuminated dock bumper system allows the operator to locate the edge of the dock at night or in low-light conditions using illumination provided by the lighting system. The bumper member offers impact protection for both vehicles and the dock.
