20200116339 · 2020-04-16 · ·

The present invention provides an attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light and an aircraft landing guidance flashing device that do not require adjustment of the angle of the flashing light at the time of attaching an aircraft landing guidance flashing light to the attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light. An attachment device for an aircraft landing guidance flashing light includes a pair of attachment arms 11; and a light emitting portion fixing plate 12. The light emitting portion fixing plate 12 detachably fixes an aircraft landing guidance flashing light. The light emitting portion fixing plate 12 is supported by the pair of attachment arms 11 such that an angle of the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is at a predetermined angle in a state where the aircraft landing guidance flashing light is fixed to the light emitting portion fixing plate.

Illuminator

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a novel illuminator 100 having a light source (10) and optics (20). The light source (10) and optics have light emitting and light path modifying components (11, 12, 21, 22, 23), which form two different combinations. The components of the first combination cooperate so as to output a first output light pattern (A) having a width in a plane and the components of the second combination cooperate such to output a second output light pattern (B) having a width in said plane. The width of the second output light pattern (B) is narrower than that of the first output light pattern (A), whereby the total output light pattern (A+B) of the illuminator (100) is a sum of the output light patterns (A, B) produced by the combinations of components (11, 12, 21, 22). The illuminator may be a flight obstacle illuminator or a navigational aid.

Lens array assembly and method for making the same

A lens array assembly includes plural lens elements each configured to receive incoming light from one or more light sources. The lens elements include biconic refractive elements on first sides of the lens elements and including diffractive elements on opposite, second sides of the lens elements. The lens elements are configured to change directions of the incoming light received from the one or more light sources such that outgoing light emanating from the lens elements is collimated in a first direction but diverges along a different, second direction.

RUNWAY ARRANGEMENT

A runway arrangement comprising: a first runway section (202-1) designated as a landing runway section; a second runway section (202-2) designated as a take-off runway section; and a sterile safety area (210); wherein the first and second runway sections are linked by the sterile safety area (210); the runway arrangement comprising a missed approach point for aircraft due to land on the first runway section, displaced from the start of the second runway section (202-2) by a distance greater than H/tan .sub.1; where H is a safe turning height and .sub.1 is an angle of ascent following a missed approach; wherein H is greater than 150 m and .sub.1 is greater than 2.

LED MODULE FOR FLASHING LAMP AND FLASHING LAMP

The present invention provides an LED module that can prevent breakage of an LED chip due to pulse lighting for a flash when the LED module is used in a flashing lamp. An LED module (10) for flashing lamp includes: an LED substrate (13); plural LEDs (12); and plural resin layers (11). In the LED module (10), the LEDs (12) are mounted on a mounting surface of the LED substrate (13). Each resin layer (11) is stacked on a surface of each LED (12) opposite to the LED substrate (13). Adjacent resin layers (11) stacked on the LEDs (12) are separated from each other.

Airfield light

An airfield light includes a light assembly mounted on a base and a transparent cover disposed over the light assembly and secured to the base. The light assembly includes a curved LED (light emitting diode) assembly having a circuit board with at least a portion that is curved along its length. A plurality of LEDs are spaced apart along the length of the circuit board and are configured to emit light through the transparent cover.

Obstruction lighting system configured to emit visible and infrared light

A lighting system includes a first light assembly that is configured to emit light periodically. The lighting system further includes a second light assembly that is spaced apart from the first light assembly, the second light assembly also being configured to emit light periodically. The periodic light emitted by the first and second light assemblies is synchronized such that the first and second light assemblies operate in unison to form a single light source.

Lighting and collision alerting system

A collision avoidance system includes a sensor adapted to detect at least one vehicle in the vicinity of a predetermined area and generate target data relating to the at least one vehicle. An awareness engine receives the target data and evaluates the target data for a threat of a collision. An alerting system is adapted to alert the at least one vehicle in the event of a threat of a collision, the alerting system being activated by the awareness engine.

AERODROME SYSTEM AND METHOD

An aerodrome system for an aerodrome is provided. The aerodrome system comprises a plurality of light emitting elements configured to emit light from a surface of the aerodrome upon which aircraft may take-off, land and manoeuvre; and a controller operatively coupled to each of the light emitting elements so as to selectively control the light emitting elements, wherein the light emitting elements form pixels of a display and the controller is configured to control an image displayed by the display so as to display and demarcate at least one runway for aircraft to take-off or land, wherein the light emitting elements are spaced such that the controller may display the runway with a variable orientation and the controller is further configured to change the image displayed by the display so as to change the orientation of the runway.

LUMINAIRE SYSTEM WITH LIGHT DISTRIBUTION MODIFIER

A luminaire system is provided that has directional light projection optics combined with a light distribution modifier to produce a non-uniform angular light intensity distribution from a single or array of light sources. The luminaire system provides for light intensity distribution with directional asymmetry meeting the specifications and requirements of aviation obstruction lights. The light distribution modifier component or subassembly redirects, scatters, refracts, diffracts and/or blocks part of the projection light in the distribution of the primary optics that would otherwise produce ground scatter. Unlike peripheral light shields at the marginal limits of the light distribution from the luminaire light system, the light distribution modifier is located near to the optical axis of the projection optics system.
