Lighting system with ballistic impact resistance

A luminaire that can resist the shock associated with a ballistics event and continue to operate. The luminaire has a base formed from high ductility aluminum. An illumination source, such as a light emitting diode array, is secured to a support of the base. A lens having a gasket is positioned over the illumination source and secured thereto with a clamp. A ballistic shield having a dual gasket is coupled to the clamp by a bezel positioned over the ballistic shield and secured to the clamp. The gaskets extending around the peripheral edges of the lens and the shield cooperate with the highly ductile aluminum base to reduce the transmission of any shock associated with a ballistic event to the illumination source and associated electronics.

LAMP FOR LARGE, INDOOR AND OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTS

A lamp for lighting large, indoor and outdoor environments, comprising a LED light source supported by a LED-holder base interposed between a heat sink and a focusing lens. Said base features such configuration and characteristics as to provide, together with two retaining rings and a deformable core hitch, for a high degree of protection against penetration of solid bodies and liquids and for a high thermal dissipation towards the external environment.

A luminaire includes a housing having a rear section, a middle section removably connected to the rear section and, a front section removably connected to the middle section. A control component is positioned in the rear section. A light emitter assembly is operably connected to the control component.

ROTATABLE AND TILTABLE LUMINAIRE

In one arrangement, a luminaire, for example a luminaire for outdoor lighting, includes a main portion, a pivot member, a swivel member, and a light head. The pivot member and swivel member cooperate to allow the light head to be positioned in any of a number of rotational positions about a first axis and in any of a number of rotational positions about a second axis. The first axis may be vertical, and the second axis may be horizontal.

LED FLOODLIGHT

An LED floodlight includes a main unit longitudinally formed by extrusion molding and having in one side an opening of a concave groove, and at least one LED unit attached to an inner bottom wall defining the concave groove in the main unit. The main unit is formed on a back side of the inner bottom wall of the concave groove by the extrusion molding and has at least one ventilating duct and open at upper and lower ends. An area having a large heat capacity is provided between the inner bottom wall to which the LED unit is attached and the ventilating duct. The main unit is configured such that the LED unit is turned on in a posture where a longitudinal direction of the ventilating duct defines a vertical direction thereby transferring heat conducted from the LED unit to an airflow going up through the ventilating duct.

MODULAR DECK LIGHT

A deck light assembly for attachment to a deck railing includes a C-shaped body with a core nesting within a cover and a top plate extending between two legs. The body includes a top plate extending between a first leg and a second leg. An LED light and a battery may each be disposed within the body between the core and the cover. Each of the legs of the core may define a clamping member, with the clamping members in mirror-image pairs across from one-another for securing the deck light assembly upon the deck railing, and each clamping member having a V-shaped cross-section with a top portion extending downwardly and inwardly away from the associated leg to a knuckle, and with a bottom portion extending downwardly from the knuckle and outwardly toward the associated leg. The clamping members may be flexible outwardly for allowing the deck light assembly to be easily removed or repositioned on the deck railing.

A deck light assembly for attachment to a deck railing includes a C-shaped body with a core nesting within a cover and a top plate extending between two legs. A foot extends inwardly from each of the legs to engage the bottom of the deck railing and secure the deck light assembly thereon. A solar panel on the top plate charges a battery and causes an LED light to illuminate in the absence of ambient light. A shade on the outer surface of one of the legs directs light downwardly. One leg includes a catch with a planar portion biased inwardly to engage the deck railing and configured to flex outwardly to disengage from the deck railing. A nub extends from the catch for application of an outward force to flex the planar portion for attaching or removing the deck light assembly from the deck railing.

A lighting system, having a base cone assembly, a base plate that mounts onto a dock pile, and an electrical system having at least one adjustable diameter lighting source. The present invention further has a tip cone mounted onto the base cone assembly. The tip cone has at least one light slot or clear section to permit light to emit there through. The tip cone and the base cone assembly are apex shaped. Extending from the tip cone is a mast bolt that secures to the base plate. The at least one adjustable diameter lighting source has at least one LED source and regulator. The at least one adjustable diameter lighting source emits radial and/or downward lighting onto the dock pile.
