Manually powered treadmill with variable braking resistance
A treadmill includes a frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by the plurality of bearings and adapted for rotational movement relative to the frame, the running belt having a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved; a braking system configured to selectively resist rotation of the running belt; a support element coupled to the frame; and a safety device coupled to the running belt. The safety device is at least partly supported by the support element. The running belt freely rotates in a first direction of rotation relative to the frame, however, in a second direction of rotation, opposite the first direction of rotation, engagement between the support element and at least a portion of the safety device substantially prevents rotation the running belt relative to the frame.
Manual treadmill and methods of operating the same
A treadmill includes a frame; a front running belt pulley; a rear running belt pulley; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by at least one of the front running belt pulley and the rear running belt pulley, the running belt including a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved; a support element coupled to the frame; and a safety device coupled to the running belt.

An exercise apparatus has a repositionable crank with a crank drive. The crank drive is housed in a base unit mounted on a platform. Various exercise machines such as a stationary bike, rowing machine, and elliptical machine are selectively mounted to the base unit and engage the crank drive to provide a variety of exercises.
DRAG GAIN STRUCTURE FOR GRAVITY WHEEL OF FITNESS EQUIPMENTS
A drag gain structure for the gravity wheel of fitness equipment has an eccentric driving member located on the first side of gravity wheel, which has inner and outer side plate sections and an interconnecting piece. One end of outer side plate section is fitted over and fixed to the shaft. One end of inner side plate section is connected to an eccentric position of gravity wheel by the first bias joint pin. A separate bearing pedestal is located on the second side of gravity wheel, including bearings screwed on the shaft, a pedestal shell fitted over the bearing and a radial protruding plate on the periphery of pedestal shell. The protruding end of radial protruding plate is connected to an eccentric position of gravity wheel by the second bias joint pin.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INCREASED REALISM OF TRAINING ON EXERCISE MACHINES
An exercise machine includes a cyclical actuator and a mechanical energy storage device. Connective structure operatively connects the cyclical actuator to the mechanical energy storage device. Motion of the cyclical actuator urges physical motion of and energy storage in the mechanical energy storage device. The exercise machine further includes an electric machine. A communication pathway enables exchange of data between multiple associated exercise machines such that multiple associated operators on multiple associated exercise machines have a common experience.
VIRTUAL ROAD SURFACE IMPLEMENTATION-TYPE BICYCLE SIMULATOR
Provided is a virtual road surface implementation-type bicycle simulator. The virtual road surface implementation-type bicycle simulator according to the present disclosure includes a rear wheel support portion that supports a rear wheel of a mounted bicycle and rotates together with rotation of the rear wheel; and a road surface implementation portion including a plurality of uneven portions that perform a protrusion operation at various heights on an outer peripheral surface of the rear wheel support portion in contact with the rear wheel, thereby providing a rider riding the bicycle with various road surface states which are virtually set.
WEIGHT TRAINING EQUIPMENT WITH ADJUSTABLE HANDLE ANGLE
A weight training equipment includes: a base frame that sits on the ground; a chair provided on the upper portion of the base frame and on which an exercising person may sit; first and second exercise bars that are hinge-coupled to both sides of the front of the chair and formed so as to be pushed or pulled forward and backward by the exercising person; a weight part providing weight and composed of a connection bar, which is connected to one side of the first and second exercise bars, and a weight member formed on the connection bar; and a torsion angle adjusting means for adjusting the torsion angle by rotating the first and second exercise bars.
Toning garment with modular resistance unit docking platforms
Disclosed is a technical training garment configured for use with modular, interchangeable electronics and resistance modules. The garment provides resistance to movement throughout an angular range of motion and tracks biomechanical parameters such as stride length, stride rate, angular velocity and incremental power expended by the wearer. The garment may be low profile, and worn by a wearer as a primary garment or beneath or over conventional clothing. Alternatively, the device may be worn as a supplemental training tool during conventional training protocols.
