Burner and assembly of compact burners
A premix burner made up of an air inlet tube of length L and a single specific gas injection, the gas injection includes an upstream gas injector, a mixer, a downstream gas injection situated at a distance L3 from an upstream end of the air inlet tube and a stabilizing element, where the gas injection constitutes a one-piece mechanical assembly that ensures a self-stable elementary flame.
Method to Enhance Burner Efficiency and Burner
A burner barrel includes a concentric multi-tubular structure, formed by pipes and at the end downstream the burner barrel is provided a burner tip in which various nozzles to inject fuel and primary air are perforated. The burner tip includes at least one series of nozzles intended to inject an external air flow; a second series of nozzles intended to inject tangential air flow; and a third series of apertures intended to inject the fuel and transport air. The ends downstream of the first and second burner pipes are joined and define a continuous external annular surface of the burner tip. The nozzles are arranged within an inscribed area, being the dimension of the nozzles limited by a rate between the open area A of the nozzles and the complementary closed area A.
BURNER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF COMBUSTION
A burner apparatus (10) includes a fluid-based flame stabilizer for discharging a stabilized flame therefrom, a burner tile (44), and fuel lances associated with the burner tile. Each of the fuel lances has a discharge nozzle (40). A Coanda feature (34) having a Coanda surface directs a portion of the stabilized flame from the passage defined by the burner tile at the discharge end of a primary flow passage (32) toward at least one first fuel lance of the plurality of fuel lances to cross light the at least one first fuel lance. In another embodiment, a method of combustion includes supplying a first gaseous fuel to fuel lances of a burner apparatus and igniting and sustaining combustion of a gaseous fuel by cross lighting at the discharge nozzles of the fuel lances by flow from the fluid-based flame stabilizer along a Coanda surface of a Coanda feature toward the discharge nozzles.
Central burner for multi-fuel multiple lance burner system
The invention relates to a central burner for multi-fuel multiple lance burner systems having a central lance with an inner pipe and an outer pipe. The inner pipe and the outer pipe form an annular clearance duct. A plurality of outer lances are arranged around the central lance. A funnel-like mixing device is provided in the extension of the annular clearance duct in the region of the end of the inner pipe. This funnel-like mixing device has openings in its wall for combustion media to flow through. The outer lances each have a nozzle which has openings along the lateral circumferential area, said openings being arranged asymmetrically.
Burner
A burner is described that includes a main longitudinal pipe into which there flows primary transport air loaded with solid particles of a pulverulent fuel, a longitudinal tube arranged inside and concentric to the main pipe, the longitudinal tube extending to the vicinity of a primary transport air outlet end of the main pipe and producing an outer longitudinal passage disposed around and concentric to an inner longitudinal passage, and means for distributing the different concentrations of solid particles in the primary transport air, in the outer longitudinal passage and in the inner longitudinal passage.
Flamesheet combustor contoured liner
The present invention discloses a novel apparatus and way for reducing the recirculation zone at the inlet end of a combustor. The recirculation zone is reduced by altering the geometry of the inlet end through a tapering of the liner wall thickness and a tapering of the thermal barrier coating to reduce the bluff body effect at the combustion liner inlet end.
Burner, combustion apparatus, water heating apparatus and combustion method
A burner includes a first burner port that generates a first flame, a gap that surrounds the first burner port, and a plurality of second burner ports that are disposed on either side of the gap, the second burner ports generating second flames to hold the first flame. The first burner port combusts a first mixture (lean mixture) to generate the first flame (lean flame). The first mixture includes air more than fuel gas. A gap that surrounds the first burner port is formed. A plurality of the second burner ports are arranged on either side of the gap. The second burner ports combust a second mixture (rich mixture) to generate the second flames (rich flames) and hold the first flame. The air-fuel ratio of the second mixture is smaller than the first mixture.
Low NOx burner
A low NOx burner has a housing that includes a burner head defining a gas manifold and a primary flame zone downstream of the burner head. The burner has a gas inlet for receiving gas. Flow-through air vents are disposed around a center of the burner head and extending through the burner head thereby enabling cold core air to flow from an annular core space upstream of the burner head to the primary flame zone downstream of the burner head. The burner also includes a plurality of premix air vents in fluid communication with the manifold for premixing air and gas within the manifold and for emitting premixed air and gas into the primary flame zone. A plurality of staging pipes extend from the manifold into the primary flame zone for conveying gas into the primary flame zone. The burner includes an ignition device extending into the primary flame zone.
Flamesheet combustor dome
The present invention discloses a novel apparatus and way for controlling a velocity of a fuel-air mixture entering a gas turbine combustion system. The apparatus comprises a hemispherical dome assembly which directs a fuel-air mixture along a portion of the outer wall of a combustion liner and turns the fuel-air mixture to enter the combustion liner in a manner coaxial to the combustor axis and radially outward of a pilot fuel nozzle so as to regulate the velocity of the fuel-air mixture.
Modular burner and furnace including this burner
A burner includes a porous support and a combustion tube along which is mounted the porous support. The combustion tube has one or more openings configured to pass fuel to the porous support. The combustion tube is formed by a plurality of tubular modules assembled together. The burner includes at least one distribution tube extending inside the combustion tube and configured to distribute fuel in a predetermined manner in the combustion tube.
