Method for decreasing nitrogen oxides of a pulverized coal boiler using burners of internal combustion type

A method for decreasing nitrogen oxides of a pulverized coal boiler using burners of internal combustion type including during the operation of the boiler, ignition sources in the burners of internal combustion type mounted on side walls of the boiler are always in a working state, and igniting the pulverized coal in the burners in advance; decreasing secondary air amount in a primary combustion zone of the boiler so that the primary combustion zone is in a relatively strong reducing atmosphere and an oxygen-deficient condition for inhibiting generation of NOx is created; and supplying remaining air from an upper part of a furnace of the boiler in a form of over-fire air, so that a deep air staging is carried out in the total furnace. Thus, the NOx generation of combustion can be effectively controlled on the premise of not decreasing efficiency of the boiler.

Coal nozzle assembly comprising two flow channels

A coal nozzle assembly for a steam generation apparatus comprising an elongated nozzle body having a nozzle tip at one end thereof; said nozzle tip comprising two channels, each channel having curved or buckled flow paths, the nozzle tip further comprising parting means separating the channels from each other, wherein the directions of the flow paths of the channels at their ends distal from the nozzle body enclose an angle between 0 and 90. This promotes intersecting and shearing the two partial streams outside the nozzle assembly resulting in a better combustion with reduced NOx-emissions.

ANGLED MAIN BURNER

A gasification burner for a multiple-burner arrangement in an entrained-flow gasifier, in which the gasification burner extends along a main axis and in which the media for the gasification reaction in the gasification burner are guided in separate media channels and exit at the burner mouth in a direction having an angle to the main axis that is not zero. A vertical installation with an optimally adaptable flame shape is provided. Depending on the orientation of the burners, the flame shape is adaptable, whether it be a minimized total flame diameter for an initial slag formation of the cooling screen or an increase in the total twist of the total flame for an increased particle deposition on the reactor wall. The gasification burner with angled burner tips can be used as part of a retrofit.

Biomass-mixed, pulverized coal-fired burner and fuel combustion method

A biomass-mixed, pulverized coal-fired burner is provided, capable of burning biomass fuel as auxiliary fuel in large quantities and burning only pulverized coal when the biomass fuel is not sufficiently available. The biomass-mixed, pulverized coal-fired burner includes a biomass fuel jet nozzle that extends axially along the biomass-mixed, pulverized coal-fired burner, a fuel jet nozzle that is open midway in the biomass fuel jet nozzle, a secondary air nozzle that surrounds the fuel jet nozzle, and a tertiary air nozzle that surrounds the secondary air nozzle. A pulverized coal component in a fuel stream as a mixture of the pulverized coal fuel stream and the biomass fuel stream is distributed with a higher concentration on an outer circumferential wall side and a biomass fuel component in the fuel stream is distributed inside of the pulverized coal fuel component.
