Slide handle
Handles for use in exercise apparatus and in lifting apparatus are provided. The handles have an elongated handle body with a top head, a bottom head, and a central bore extending along a longitudinal axis. A top pulley is coupled to the top head and is rotatable around a top axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A bottom pulley is coupled to the bottom head and is rotatable around a bottom axis that is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. At least one secondary pulley is associated with at least one of the top pulley and the bottom pulley. A cord is disposed on a circumferential surface of the top pulley, the cord passing through the central bore and being disposed on a circumferential surface of the bottom pulley, so that when the handle body is moved, the top and bottom pulleys rotate to allow the cord to travel smoothly through the central bore.
PORTABLE FUNCTIONAL TRAINING DEVICE
A lightweight portable device allows a user to accomplish both the exercises of a functional cable machine and a bodyweight suspension trainer. The device can include at least one non-elastic cord or strap, each retractably attached to a reel. The reel has a locking mechanism and a variable resistance mechanism. When the locking mechanism is engaged, it keeps the strap or cord in a fixed location. This allows the user to perform bodyweight suspension training exercises. The variable resistance mechanism of the reel can increase or decrease the amount of force that is needed to be applied to move the reel, thus giving the user the ability to perform the variable resistance exercises of a functional cable machine. The resistance mechanism can be designed as compact and lightweight, thus making the device able to be portable and compact in size.
Multi-purpose exercise device
A multi-purpose fitness bar capable of being asymmetrically weighted. The fitness bar has a frame consisting of three arms, multiple handholds and elevated risers. The handholds are in a multitude of positions and angles to provide variability in training. Each arm is capable of being independently loaded with one or more removable weights to produce a symmetric or asymmetric weight load to provide increased torque with movement of the device as well as driving the body in movement patterns consistent with function. The elevated risers provide a space between the body of the device and floor to provide push-up function of the device by protecting the users hands from contact with the ground. The arms of the device may also provide attachments for resistance band use to provide another loading mechanism for strength development.
Mounting system for a physical therapy device
A mounting system for a physical therapy device that allows the physical therapy device to be anchored at a desired height. The mounting system includes a top bracket and a bottom bracket that each can be received over an edge of a door. A slide rail extends between the top bracket and the bottom bracket. At least one attachment block is received on the slide rail. The attachment block can be moved along the length of the slide rail and includes an attachment ring, or similar device that allows a physical therapy device to be attached to a stationary point. The mounting system can include a second attachment block for providing additional points of attachment for the physical therapy device.
Handheld resistance exercise device and methods of exercising therewith
A handheld resistance exercise device is contemplated for exercise, rehabilitation, warm-up and the like, which provides resistance to muscles, tendons, joints, and fasciae in the upper body and lower back as it is actuated by a user standing a distance away from a vertical surface that is engaged with the device. Actuation thereof by the user in performing various exercise protocols provides stability for one or more muscles of the hand, elbow, shoulder girdle, shoulder blade, rib cage, as well as the inner core muscles, while also providing improved mobility for one or more of the wrist, forearm, elbow, shoulder joint, and muscles that rotate and bend the spine sideways.
Restraint device, in particular for training purposes
A restraint device, in particular for training purposes, having a holder which is or can be anchored in a fixed position and from which a rope that can be attached to a user can be drawn out against a restoring force via a movement path of the user. Apparatuses for generating the restoring force by sliding friction are provided and include a roller that can be rotated by winding the extendable rope around the roller and a brake device inhibiting the rotation of the roller.
Body Weight Exercise Assembly Configured to Accept Various Discipline Attachments
Disclosed is an exercise device for mounting in a door frame, including an elongated body having a top surface for attaching to a doorframe, a bottom surface, a left side, and a right side, a T-slot formed length-wise in the bottom surface of the body and opening to the left side and the right side of the body, the T-slot having a first and second undercut portions of the T-slot, a bottom wall of the T-slot connecting the first and second undercut portions, a plurality of holes in the bottom wall of the T-slot and extending to the top surface of the body, an exercise accessory having a connecting member, a cutout in the T-slot on the bottom surface of the body for receiving a head of the connecting member, the cutout sized in relative proportions to allow the head of the connecting member to pass therethrough and the head of the connecting member sized to be received in the T-slot of the body and configured to be slidably retained in the T-slot.
Body weight exercise assembly configured to accept various discipline attachments
Disclosed is an exercise device having an elongated body, a slot formed length-wise in the body, the slot having an undercut portion on each side, a plurality of holes in slot for receiving one of a plurality of fasteners, an exercise accessory having a connecting member, and a head of the connecting member, the head sized to be received in the slot of the body and configured to be slidably retained in the slot. The slot can have undercut portions. The undercut portions can have locking features. The head of the connecting member can have complimentary locking features. A tightening member can fix the connecting member in a position in the slot. The elongated body can have a cutout for receiving the head of the connecting member.
APPARATUS, KIT, AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING STRAP-BASED EXERCISES
The present disclosure relates to a modular strap-based exercise apparatus, kit, and method of use thereof, and more particularly to an apparatus, kit, and method for modularly connecting components of a strap-based exercise device. In an embodiment, the strap-based exercise apparatus includes one or more infinity loops configured to attach various portions of the exercise apparatus together. The exercise apparatus may be provided as a kit including an elongated member, a grip assembly, and one or more mechanisms for adjusting the length of a strap and connecting straps together.
